We now have an exciting opening for a Head of Media, PR & Editorial. The postholder will be responsible for developing and supporting key campaigns and strategies that help to promote and explain the work, impact, health messaging and funding needs to diverse audiences. You will achieve these through PR and media relations, awareness-raising campaign development, supporter stories, celebrity/ambassador management, and the management of a small team, including staff and specialist consultant support.
We are seeking an experienced communications professional with demonstrable expertise and a track-record of success in managing communications for a charity, health or science-related organisation, including developing successful media strategies, with positive press coverage, and writing clear, engaging copy for different audiences across digital and social media channels. The successful candidate will also have proven experience planning and managing multiple cross-departmental projects.

Purpose of this role YMCA Thames Gateway offers support and accommodation to young people in need and children in care. The service aims to help young people develop the skills and knowledge to be able to live independently and improve their life chances. Location of work: Flexible. Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. Providing breakfast ensures that children start their school day with the energy and nutrition they need to be able to make the most of their morning lessons. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Service Delivery team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of our breakfast provision. As Engagement Partner, you will work with relevant partners (schools, local authorities, parents, parent councils) to ensure that breakfast provision is optimized, encouraging reach and providing education on relevant topics.

About the Role
The Open Government Partnership (OGP) Support Unit (SU) seeks an experienced accounting professional with proven track record in the non-profit sector to provide finance and accounting services to support the Finance team. We are looking for an individual with strong understanding of accounting principles, with excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
The consultant will assist with preparing and analyzing financial reports and ensuring that financial records are accurate and compliant with relevant regulations where OGP conducts business. This role involves various accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and assisting with audits. The Consultant will work closely with other finance team members to ensure that financial and accounting systems, controls, and standards are in place to support the organization's overall financial health.
Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and experience with accounting software- Intacct or Netsuite preferred. The consultant can work remotely, with a preference to be based in the Washington, D.C. area, London, or Brussels.

Agreement and payment

Contract will be for a maximum of 560 hours of work through March 31, 2025, with a ceiling amount of USD $33,600, with possibility of renewal. Responsibilities
Raising the profile of the Foundation by implementing an imaginative and inspiring programme in Marketing and Communications under the direction of the Head of Business Development.

Attend UK Community Foundations (UKCF) Marcomms meetings.

Preparing for meetings: prep of papers, managing dates and availability; minute taking and general administration for Board level members under clear and strict requirements around confidentiality.

This exciting Project Assistant role will work closely with the Programme Development Officer to support the development and delivery of Reclaiming Our Power. Reclaiming Our Power will explore the impact of racist microaggressions on mental health through creative peer support workshops with people with lived experience of racism, and will use learning to co-design and co-deliver learning opportunities to people working in the public and charity sectors delivering Glasgow’s services.
This project and role are funded with thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland.
What does the role involve?
- Organising events including creative peer support workshops, volunteer meetings, and training sessions
- Supporting the co-development and co-delivery of tailored training to people training/working in public-facing services
