An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Human Resources professional to join the leading international horse charity World Horse Welfare.
This is a newly created role to support the Head of Human Resources with the day to day running of the department, overseeing administrative tasks and providing guidance to managers and employees on policies and procedures. As part of this role, you will actively engage in enhancing communication channels and building working relationships. Working closely with the Head of HR and Departmental Managers across the charity, you will play a vital role in enhancing employee engagement and fostering a positive culture within the charity. You will also be responsible for administering payroll.
We are looking for someone who has active experience in HR administration, undertaking formal investigations and report writing, subject access requests and payroll administration. Volunteer co-ordination would be advantageous. You must be proactive, confident and capable of working with people at all levels in a variety of spheres. You must have a flexible approach to your work and be willing to work outside of normal office hours where necessary. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail is a must for this role.
CIPD Foundation Certificate is highly desirable but not essential.
The role is based in Norfolk and is a hybrid split of a minimum of 2 days in our head office in Snetterton and a maximum of 3 days at home. You will be required to visit our satellite locations based in Somerset, Lancashire and Aberdeenshire as well as attend events around the UK.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

Title: Senior Practitioner Psychologist (internally this role is known as Senior Skylight Psychologist)

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: Full-time salaries are as follows:

About the role
We are excited to offer this new role which is an opportunity to support our two London Crisis at Christmas teams. There is the Crisis at Christmas team who lead on the set up and delivery of our hotel and day centre delivery in the capital. This is a huge and innovation operation, supporting hundreds of people out of rough sleeping. It also involves huge numbers of volunteers. The postholder will be working alongside the Crisis at Christmas team and Christmas Case Management Team to develop this post. You will form part of the local Leadership team, supporting the implementation of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs). You will support the delivery of our work to members by offering training and leading reflective practice for staff and providing direct services to members at times. You will be working alongside the Christmas team to plan how we ensure our service offer is psychologically and trauma informed as well as developing and delivering training for volunteers and staff and supporting the delivery of our services. You will be joining a part-time Psychologist working into the Christmas Case Management team, as well as several Psychologists who are also based in the London Skylight.
You will also be a part of a national psychology team made up of a Lead Clinical Psychologist, two Regional Lead Clinical Psychologists, and seven Practitioner Psychologists as well as one Assistant Psychologist and Trainee Clinical Psychologists on placements.
We are committed to ending the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs. To do this, we are seeking either full-time or part-time Practitioner Psychologists to work with us to develop a new and innovative role supporting our Christmas teams.

You will join an extraordinary team of frontline lead workers with a focus on people facing homelessness who have survived a range of difficult and traumatic experiences.

The post holder will be a source of support and expertise to Helpline Volunteers during a shift, providing emotional support and signposting options to bereaved people in their initial contact with Cruse Bereavement Support, (in call / Email / Casework). This role will be working closely with a Project Team in Cruse who are managing our Southern Gas Network (SGN) partnership. We would like this role to participate in the development of the partnership to ensure effective rollout within our National Helpline. This would require you to attend National Energy Action (NEA) Fuel Debt Advice in the Community Training and become the point of contact for the National Helpline staff and volunteers for SGN related queries.
Due to the nature of the role, you would be expected to work flexibly on a shift basis (with availability to work between 9am and 8:15pm), including some Bank Holidays.

- Prepare quarterly management accounts for the OAA Treasurer within agreed timeframes.
- Oversee annual budget setting process, coordinating with other internal stakeholders, and to present the budget to OAA Treasurer within agreed timeframes.
- Prepare yearend schedules and other information within agreed timescales for Head of Finance to review.
- Liaise with external auditors and coordinate responses to any requests received.
- Provide accounting services to other specialist societies as set out within service level agreements.
- Prepare quarterly invoices to specialist societies as set out within service level agreements and schedule of income received on behalf of societies for approval by management to pay over to the societies.
- Reconcile daily credit card receipts recorded with the Association’s CRM software to bank receipts and ensure that income is accurately posted within IRIS Financials accounts in a timely basis.
- Record donations and any sundry receipts received into IRIS Financials accounts.
- Upload bank statements into IRIS Financials accounts and reconcile bank accounts on a weekly basis and ensure all transactions are cleared in a timely basis.
- Prepare month end bank reconciliations for sign off by Head of Finance.
- Ensure month end balance sheet reconciliations are prepared for prepayments, deferred income, specialist societies’ bank and credit accounts monthly.
Operational management
- Provide high quality and effective financial reporting, support and assistance to the Head of Finance and other senior managers as required.
- Under the guidance of the Head of Finance, monitor and review financial systems and procedures and recommend, devise and implement more effective and efficient procedures.

The Operations Officer is integral to the smooth functioning of Action Tutoring’s daily operations, providing essential logistical and administrative support while serving as the initial point of contact for external stakeholders. The Operations Officer plays a key role within the Operations team by managing inquiries received via the Action Tutoring phone line and inbox and supporting the broader organisation by overseeing logistical arrangements with the Operations Manager. This includes travel and accommodation logistics, diary management, event support, resource management and office space coordination.
