As part of a national team, you will provide employment and training advice and guidance to a remote caseload of spouses and partners of still serving Armed Forces and ex-service personnel (Veterans) in the UK and overseas with personal development and/or until they are settled in sustainable careers.
The programme provides a combination of virtual and face-to-face coaching and mentoring, events, practical employment support, access to training, apprenticeships, and corporate mentoring to offer the best possible opportunities to upskill and gain fulfilling employment.
Reporting to the National Employment Projects Manager. This position is full-time, 35 hours per week with a salary of £29,000 per annum. This role is Home-based (with community outreach) in the Colchester region with community outreach throughout the region (Southeast, East of England, London).
The role involves regular travel across the operating region and working from home when not out in the community. The usual working hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. However, there may be an occasional need to work outside core hours to meet the demands of the role.
Principal Responsibilities:

Comradeship and sense of community are among the key elements of the health and wellbeing package enjoyed by residents of the Royal Hospital Chelsea – the Chelsea Pensioners. Our Veteran’s Outreach programme launched in late 2022 with the aim of extending this offer to the wider veterans’ community in the Greater London region and we have successfully built our own network of older veterans from all three services who, as ‘Out Pensioners’, regularly attend events, activities and Drop Ins at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. We seek to expand our programme beyond Greater London and will start by focusing on the 8 counties of the Southeast region as a pilot scheme which, in due course, we intend to duplicate in other regions.
The Regional Veterans Outreach Officer is vital to bring our expansion plans to fruition. They will be expected to help plan, develop and deliver the regional programme with the aim of reducing social isolation and loneliness in older veterans by leveraging the unique experience of our Chelsea Pensioners and our delivery partners.
In support of the Head of Veterans Outreach they will be required to assist in the planning and delivery of activities and events designed to attract an older cohort of veterans. This will include establishing and maintaining relationships with local delivery partners (DPs), helping in the recruitment and oversight of a network of volunteers in the 8 x counties and with these DPs and volunteers identify and locate veterans who might benefit from our programme.
The ideal candidate will be selfless, service orientated, full of enthusiasm and initiative, and equipped with the people skills that will make you a natural networker and a hit with our older veteran community. Experience of the Armed Forces community and/or working with older people will be highly advantageous and you will be expected to be familiar with the region in which you will be working. Experience of managing volunteers is also desirable. You will thrive on a high degree of autonomy and making a positive impact on the veterans we support.
The post holder will be expected to travel extensively around the South East region, including overnight stays. A clean, full driving licence is essential. The successful candidate will require Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) clearance.

Fight for Peace is a sport for development charity based in Newham, London. At its core, it is a boxing and martial arts academy with a whole range of in-house youth support services under one roof. Not only Fight for Peace works directly with young people, it also trains and supports grassroots sports clubs in adopting a sports-for-development approach to their sport of physical activity across the UK.

Duties:
· Work with the Programme team, to design and deliver educational resources, workshops and conferences including Freedom of Religion and Belief, Rule of Law, and intergenerational change;
· Manage the annual Cumberland Lodge Fellowship scheme, including the annual Fellows’ Retreat;
· Deliver Exploring Ethics and other Cumberland Lodge workshops as requested;
· Identify potential partners and collaborate with stakeholders related to programme activity;
· Produce funding proposals;
· Produce and/or editing briefing papers and reports when required;
· Produce digital content for online learning and engage regularly with the community engagement platform, including identifying topics, producing webinars and podcasts;

ROLE SUMMARY:
Right To Play UK is seeking a driven and creative Communications and Engagement Officer to help achieve our ambitious plans to build Right To Play’s profile and supporter base, during an exciting period of growth for the organisation. The role will focus on delivering compelling communications and campaigns to our key audiences, building brand awareness, engaging supporters and boosting fundraising to help transform the lives of millions of children across our global programmes.
This is an exciting time to join Right To Play, as we celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2025 and continue our plans for growth in the UK, following our most successful year for fundraising in 2024. You will play a key part in helping to achieve our plans, with numerous training and development opportunities and the scope to drive forward creative communications and campaigns.
The Communications and Engagement Officer will need to work additional hours as required at events and business meetings (with TOIL provided).
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
#1: Communications (50% of Time):
- Support the delivery of RTP UK’s communications strategy, working closely with the Head of Communications and Engagement and Digital Lead.
- Plan and deliver a programme of communications and campaigns to reach our key external audiences, designed to raise funds and brand awareness, engage new audiences and build support.
- Working with the Head of Communications, Digital Lead and colleagues in the Global Communications Team, oversee the production of compelling content and updates for RTP UK digital channels (social media, website and email marketing), leading on the day-to-day management of these channels.
- Produce articles, news updates, blog posts, media releases, case studies, briefings, statements and other communications materials, as required.
- Support the development of RTP UK’s Ambassador programme, including building new relationships with high-profile individuals, including celebrities and influencers, and strengthening support among existing Ambassadors through stewardship and engagement.
- Advise and support colleagues across RTP UK teams on fundraising communications connected to our partnerships, events, relevant donor engagement activity and other initiatives.
- Alongside the Head of Communications and Engagement, represent the UK office on the Right To Play global comms group and digital marketing group, as well as other external events where required.
#2: Fundraising and Engagement (35% of Time):
- Oversee community fundraising activity, including challenge events and runs (such as the London Marathon), identifying opportunities to engage new supporters and grow income, and supporting participants in their fundraising journeys.
- Develop and deliver activity aimed at building awareness and support among UK schools and universities, creating engagement opportunities and campaigns to drive fundraising, including producing impactful marketing materials and resources.
- Work alongside the Head of Communications and the UK team to develop Right To Play UK supporter engagement, expanding our network and retaining existing supporter relationships.
- Support the team on the coordination, stewardship and delivery of Right To Play UK’s fundraising events (including the annual Sports Quiz).
- Support the delivery of fundraising campaigns, including relevant communications activities, working with the Right To Play UK team.
- Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising and Head of Partnerships on cross-functional initiatives to amplify fundraising impact.
- Work with colleagues in the UK team to refine and improve our digital supporter journey and fundraising processes.
#3: Policy and Influencing (10% of Time):
- Contribute to the delivery of RTP UK’s policy and influencing strategy, supporting on research, briefings, statements and events to engage key stakeholders among international organisations, political groups and other influential bodies.
#4: Other Tasks as Assigned (5% of Time)
- Manage occasional interns, volunteers and students on work experience placements to support the work of the communications team.
- Liaise with external suppliers, such as freelancers and consultants, photographers/videographers, printers and design agencies.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING (ESSENTIAL):
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of working in a fundraising communications team or similar, with a proven track record of communicating effectively with a range of external audiences.

ROLE SUMMARY:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and analytical Individual Giving Officer to develop your fundraising career in the international development sector. You will work closely with our Head of Fundraising to build, expand and retain our donor base following a very successful 2024. With a focus on supporter acquisition and stewardship, you will utilise data and market insight to support campaigns, enhance supporter engagement, and organise donor events to achieve ambitious income targets. #2: Major and Mid Value Donor Pipeline (20% of Time):

- Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising to develop targeted engagement plans for Mid Value and Major Donors across the year.

We are looking for a Partnerships & Membership Officer to join our dynamic team of 25 staff located across 3 offices (Geneva, London, and New York). The Partnerships and Membership team encompasses 4 staff members, and the Officer will report to NCDA’s Partnerships and Business Development Manager.
The Partnerships and Membership Officer will support the strategic growth of NCDA’s partnerships and membership in line with NCDA’s new strategy 2021-2026. The role will be responsible for supporting NCDA’s strategic engagement with members and partner NGOs by overseeing the delivery of related work plans and activities, supporting NCDA’s membership outreach strategies and delivery, reporting and M&E processes and business development.

Main duties and responsibilities

NAPAC provides the only free national support service for adult survivors of all types of childhood abuse. We offer specialist, confidential support to all adult survivors of any type of abuse, operated by experienced staff and trained volunteers.

As a support line Call Handler, you will be a key member of our dedicated team, providing emotional support and a safe environment for callers with a wide range of complex issues.
NAPAC offers full training and hands-on support for call handlers with every call they receive. You will use the knowledge and skills you’ve developed through our training to explore issues relating to childhood abuse and it how it effects adulthood and signpost callers to relevant resources and services that can provide more in-depth support. Calls are caller-led, and you will be there to empower each caller to take back control in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow confidentiality and safeguarding policies
- Provide appropriate signposting to external services in accordance to callers identified needs.
- Ensuring that key record keeping is maintained to the required standard and contributing to service monitoring requirements
- You will have the emotional resilience to be able to support individuals who may be severely distressed, experienced trauma, and people who may be at risk of harm.
