This income came from a range of sources including institutional donors, corporate grants (mainly healthcare companies who also donate medicines and healthcare supplies), trusts and foundations, partner NGOs, and individuals. 

To support our continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced (min 4 years), dynamic Senior Programme Funding Officer with a track record of managing and growing partnerships and income. We need someone who can speak the language of development, build our internal capacity and bring their technical expertise. This is a new role and so you have an opportunity to make a real impact.

About the role

You will build on our current funding relationships and will specifically drive forward our institutional fundraising to meet agreed income targets. That means bringing your experience in the sector to relationship building, technical grant applications and contract management.  You will guide and oversee bid development and ensure we have a strong case for support for IHP Programmes.  These include a range of therapy areas such as cancer, mental health and deworming, as well as our humanitarian response (eg Gaza and Sudan).  You will manage existing relationships including trusts and foundations and NGO partners and be part of the Fundraising Team's approach to all donors, including corporates and individuals.

We address a crucial gap in long-term recovery support. Our approach is respected for its empowerment and focus on lived experience. The EPIC Restart Community is an inspiring online network offering community, learning, and connection. Our intensive programmes, Restarting Lives and Woman.Empowered, provide life-changing events, personal development, and recovery coaching.

Our team has grown significantly in recent years. We’ve directly supported over 600 individuals since our pilot launch in May 2021. Additionally, we’ve reached over 20,000 people through online and outreach activities. We’re embarking on a new two-year strategy aimed at becoming a Centre for Excellence in gambling harm recovery. We deliver transformational programmes with measurable impacts and influence stakeholders to increase support for those in recovery.

We currently have a strong financial position, but funding methods are set to change significantly. In 2025, the Government will introduce a statutory levy on gambling operators. Funds will be distributed to commissioners for research, prevention, and treatment grants. This process is still developing, so our path remains uncertain. However, we are optimistic and see growth potential as feedback on our work has been positive.

Who we are looking for

During a period of transformation, we need an experienced leader adept at developing relationships with commissioners. This could stem from the gambling harm sector or other relevant fields like addiction, homelessness, domestic abuse, or mental health.

Reporting to the Head of Supporter Engagement, the Supporter Journeys Manager is responsible for both managing our Dynamics 365 marketing platform (both processes and data) and working across all FundComm teams to create and support delivery of a cohesive automated Supporter Journeys Strategy.

Having recently moved to a new CRM Dynamics 365, which also includes a new email and SMS marketing platform, we now have access to improved functionality for automated Journeys. The Supporter Journey Manager is a new role to support our ambitious FundComm goals around growth, income and engagement, fully utilising the potential of the new platform, as well as overseeing the testing program on all our website and online conversion forms. 

Though primarily a digital focused role, the overall objective of the role is to ensure all journeys are designed to best meet FundComm overall goals while providing an optimal supporter experience. This will be done through creation of a Journey Strategy and plan for audience-led journeys across all channels, asks and platforms. As well as being responsible for design and delivery of some of the key journeys, it also involves an advisory and governance role for all FundComm automated journeys and online forms, ensuring they’re designed to maximise engagements, income and conversions along each stage in Brooke’s Engagement funnel 

Criteria 

The role requires working collaboratively across FundComm using Brooke’s project management principles, with line management of the Supporter Engagement & Experience Officer and Senior Journeys Officer who manages the online landing page and forms testing program. The role ensures all existing and future journeys are mapped and documented, and creating a cross-team process to test, share learning and optimise them on an ongoing basis.

We’re looking for someone who is organised and will enjoy coordinating workshops and ideas generation to recommend plans for which new journeys should be built, inspiring teams with training on best practice in journey design and copywriting. The role would suit someone target driven, with strong experience of coordinating cross team projects, while motivated to deliver high quality service.

As a key part of the role is creating, communicating and maintaining new processes, as well as governance of all source code structures and data marketing lists and journey entry rules, you’ll need to be very confident working with large data sets. Experience of designing and building automated email journeys in a similar platform and online donation page testing is essential.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint a strong team player who can also work independently, who is a well-organised and efficient administrator, with excellent IT and inter-personal skills. They must be intellectually curious with strong research abilities, and are confident and articulate communicators. Alignment with our ethos of seeking to address challenging social issues through constructive dialogue is essential.

This role will be responsible for managing our cohort programmes including currently: Freedom of Religion and Belief, Rule of Law, and Gen Z and the City. In addition they will coordinate our Fellowship scheme. There is scope for the development of new programme areas, including working with the arts, as we respond to contemporary challenges.

Duties:

· Work with the Programme team, to design and deliver educational resources, workshops and conferences including Freedom of Religion and Belief, Rule of Law, and intergenerational change;

· Manage the annual Cumberland Lodge Fellowship scheme, including the annual Fellows’ Retreat;

· Deliver Exploring Ethics and other Cumberland Lodge workshops as requested;

· Identify potential partners and collaborate with stakeholders related to programme activity;

· Produce funding proposals;

· Produce and/or editing briefing papers and reports when required;

· Produce digital content for online learning and engage regularly with the community engagement platform, including identifying topics, producing webinars and podcasts;

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of a 3-year Train the Trainer pilot programme in the chosen pilot locations in England or Scotland.

As part of this, they are looking to recruit a Grants Officer to oversee a substantial grants portfolio, overseeing the financial management of the grants. • Support in undertaking due diligence on new and existing grantees, including financial eligibility checks.

Who we are

Gatsby Charitable Foundation is one of the 16 Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts (SFCT) established by individual members of the Sainsbury family.

Gatsby established a small team focused on education policy in England almost 40 years ago. While priorities have changed and evolved, our approach has been consistent: we aim to be more than a funder. We act as an enabler for projects, working with partners in designing, developing, and, in some cases, delivering activities. About the role

We are now looking for someone to join our education team as a Project Officer.

You will have a broad remit to support the implementation of programmes across the team, in particular, programmes to support teachers and providers with technical education reforms. Key success measures for this work will include widespread, sustained engagement in programmes that are well-organised and coordinated.

Using a high degree of personal expertise and judgement to support the Technical Education Networks programme, including responsibility to:

• Support the Head of Further Education Curriculum with the delivery of the programme objectives for curriculum support for post-16 technical education.

• Manage and upload content to the Technical Education Networks’ website
• Coordinate the development and publication processes for all outputs of the programme, including the teaching materials.

Job specifics

• Hours: Full time hours are 37.5 Monday to Friday
• Location: We are very flexible! Our hybrid working policy is a minimum of two days per month in our London Office office. For the Philanthropy team this will vary dependent on meetings with internal and external stakeholders so your flexibility is a must. Our aim as the Philanthropy team is to work together in the office together one day a week, if and when possible.

About the role

At a time of growth and of new opportunities for the Motability Foundation, we are looking for a Public Affairs Manager to join our Communications Team and lead our Public Affairs activity for the organisation.

Our vision is to fund, support, research, and innovate, so all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. There are an estimated 16 million disabled people in the UK, and this role will play a crucial part in our work to raise awareness of the work of the Motability Foundation, amplify the voices of disabled people and to influence policy.

·This new role will work alongside our new Evidence and Policy Manager, based in our Innovation team, and other colleagues across the organization as well as key partners (Motability Operations), to manage our horizon scanning and monitoring of the political landscape, leading on advising our Governors, CEO and senior management team on actions we need to take, and preparing detailed briefings for engagements, and events with Parliamentarians and senior Ministers. The role holder will develop, implement and lead our Public Affairs and Government Engagement Plan, and proactively identify and develop opportunities to influence and shape policy where it may have a positive impact for disabled people.

With a General Election and potential welfare reform on the horizon, this role is especially important and experience in creating and implementing post-election public affairs strategies, leading activities across the team and devising and managing structured results reporting to the organisation, is highly desirable.

What you will be doing

• Develop, implement and manage our public affairs strategy, leading on public affairs activities aligned with the Motability Foundation’s vision and overall strategy.
• Amplify the Motability Foundation’s voice in Parliament, across the devolved nations, and in political spheres, building, developing and managing relationships with parliamentarians, decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Manage our horizon scanning and monitoring of the political, legislative and regulatory landscape in relation to the work of the Motability Foundation, leading on advising the business on actions we need to take.
• Provide sharp political intelligence, insight, advice and briefings for Governors, directors, senior management and a variety of audiences across the organization.
• Support the establishment of the Motability Foundation’s policy positions and delivering our influencing objectives.
• Manage a contact program for Parliamentarians, raising awareness of the work of the Motability Foundation, establishing regular meetings for senior leaders where relevant, and facilitating dialogue on issues relevant to our work.
• Working closely with the Evidence and Policy Manager to manage the dissemination of any policy output for presentation to the external world.
