Working in squads with colleagues in Fundraising & Marketing, and across Policy, Advocacy & Campaigns, we deliver campaigns in line with our marketing plan that build awareness, 2 change minds and opinions, prompt people to act, and build deep relationships with supporters. About the Role
The Marketing Manager (Acquisition) will plan and deliver effective direct response campaigns across paid channels, to build consideration, prompt action and drive income through the acquisition of new individual donors.
A key part of this role will be to lead on the day-to-day management and development of direct response TV (DRTV) and online video which are pivotal channels within our acquisition programme. By identifying the right supporters to target and inspiring them to commit to a regular monthly donation, you'll be a key driver of our Individual Giving supporter base growth and income.
Working within multi-disciplinary teams, you'll build strong relationships and cut through boundaries, in a fast-moving and dynamic environment. Leveraging agile principles, you'll flex and adapt - learning rapidly and responding to change, while keeping our supporters at the heart of everything you do.
In this role, you will:
• Plan and execute direct response TV and online video marketing campaigns, across a range of channels (e.g. direct response TV, bVOD, CTV), with a focus on audience, to drive ambitious income targets.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to attract new supporters – using insight and data to understand our audience's needs and motivations to build long term relationships.
• Work closely with our media buying agency to approve, buy and optimise media. Manage and monitor budgets, analyse daily results and metrics to drive change as needed to ensure marketing performance against KPIs.
• Collaborate cross-squad and with partner media agency to align DRTV and online video with the broader multi-channel paid media plan and integration with our Brand campaign where appropriate.
• Plan and collaborate with in-house and/or external creative and production agencies on the development of new DRTV creative, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Develop and execute creative testing strategies to inspire audience engagement and action.
• Regularly analyse and report on performance across DRTV and online video channels and audiences, providing expertise to optimise results and deliver growth.
• Support and assist with training and supervision of Marketing Executives within the team. Manage, develop and motivate members to retain, and develop capacity, creative capability and talent to provide for succession and ensure delivery of business objectives.
• Partner with Analyst squad members to assess marketing effectiveness, using data-driven insights to foster a test-and-learn approach and ensure learnings are effectively shared across the team, and recommendations implemented.
• Work with Senior Marketing Managers to manage budgets, including planning, reporting, and reforecasting.
• Partner with CRO Specialist and others, to create a seamless supporter experience by ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, driving engagement, conversion and lifetime value.
• Keeping abreast of changes within the direct response TV and online video marketplace, and ensure learnings feed into quarterly planning.
• Collaborate with Save the Children International and other member countries, sharing best practices and insights on the trends of the various activities under its responsibility and helping drive the global production of new content for TV and online video.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
• Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering marketing campaigns across direct response TV or other online video channels.
• Experience in direct response marketing including developing marketing campaigns, data analysis and audience planning.
• Project management experience with a proven ability to plan and manage activity that delivers complex projects on time and to budget.
• Experience of effectively managing external partners to drive performance and continual improvement, such as working with media agencies to plan, buy and optimise media, creative and production agencies.
• Experience of developing fundraising and/or marketing assets to drive action.
• Experience of effective management of campaign budgets, implementing most effective investment decisions in real time.
• Strong numerical and critical thinking skills, specifically the ability to analyse complex data and translate it into tangible information for strategic decision-making.
• Demonstrable expertise in managing budgets efficiently.
• An understanding of attribution and the different models that can be used.
• Strong understanding of the fundraising DRTV media landscape.

Ways of Working:

To work alongside the Donor Development & Legacies Lead (DDLL) to help develop MSF’s donor development strategy to increase the lifetime value (LTV) of MSF UK supporters, by enhancing their knowledge and understanding of humanitarian action and their awareness of the importance of their own support to MSF. As a senior fundraising team member, you will take a strategic approach to leading the development and management of our Major Donor, Trusts and Legacy programmes to maximise income and meet annual targets. The care provided at The Prince of Wales Hospice concentrates on quality of life and the alleviation of distressing psychological, spiritual, physical and social symptoms. It also includes support in bereavement. To provide this care, they have a highly skilled team with a wide range of specialisms.
Despite costing £12,000 a day to run the hospice and £4m a year, all of the services are entirely free of charge to patients and their families. We are looking for an experienced Individual Giving Fundraiser to join the fundraising team at this fabulous hospice.
The Role
As Individual Giving Fundraiser you will be responsible for planning and executing appropriate in-memory, legacy and general mailed appeals & marketing campaigns. Duties will include:
- Building a plan to promote in-mem & celebration fundraising
- Working collaboratively with the Fundraising and Marketing Teams delivering campaigns and communications across all channels to maximise income streams
- Managing legacy administration, building and stewarding strong, mutually beneficial relationships with solicitors, will writers, spiritual leaders and funeral directors
- Actively contributing to the development of the Income Generation Business Plan and budgets
- Working with Local Hospice Lottery (liaising with 3rd party provider) to increase the number of venues & players
The Person
To be successful in this extremely exciting role we are looking for an experienced and personable fundraiser. You will possess excellent writing and communication skills, along with experience of using a customer relationship management database and knowledge of fundraising CRM.
Experience of creating engaging appeals with budgets and on time is desirable as is experience line managing or supervising staff or volunteers. You will be willing and able to independently travel to external meetings and events and have the ability to show empathy with good emotional intelligence. Maintaining a positive professional approach when representing the Hospice will be essential at all times.

The Role

General Responsibilities:
- To contribute to team meetings and organisational priorities.

Key Activities:
The post holder will be responsible for working on a range of individual giving campaigns from start to finish, including developing briefs, contacting and coordinating with suppliers, analysing results and making recommendations. This will include campaigns across a range of products and channels, including Dialogue (Face to Face), Telephone, Direct Mail, Direct Response TV and Digital activity. Allocation of campaigns across the team is reviewed regularly to ensure that campaign executives have the opportunity to manage a variety of campaigns and develop their skillset.
Location- This is a hybrid role, the hub location will depend on where the candidate lives. Will be required to travel to London.

Within this role you will create inspiring supporter journeys for new and existing supporters using a variety of channels including direct mail, email, telephone and SMS. You will be responsible for sourcing case studies and information which demonstrate the impact of our supporters’ donations. You will use this content to create engaging communications which bring supporters closer to our work, making them feel excited about supporting Alzheimer’s Society.
You will have the opportunity to continuously test and learn to create the best journeys for our supporters and you will collaborate with the team to create the long-term stewardship strategy. You’ll work closely with our strategic creative agency and you’ll also have the opportunity to work on our brand-new supporter magazine!
You will work together with the other teams within Individual Giving and other internal stakeholders to ensure that your communications go out to the right people and are as personalised as possible and you will be responsible for monitoring campaign results, making suggestions for improvements throughout.

About you

We are recruiting a Team Manager to deliver For Baby’s Sake in a new Regional Team in the North East of England. The post will be home based with some elements of hybrid working. Applicants need to be located in the North East of England and be able to travel across the region.
For Baby’s Sake is an innovative, therapeutic, trauma-informed programme. We work with both co-parents individually, supporting a recovery framework to overcome the devastating effects of domestic abuse in their relationship. We acknowledge and explore unresolved and often complex childhood trauma and change harmful patterns of behaviour to develop a home environment where children can flourish. We adopt an attachment-focussed parenting approach that enhances the opportunity for children to feel safe and secure, with parents who are emotionally available and attuned to all their needs.
There must be a current pregnancy to harness change motivations, a desire on behalf of both parents to coparent their unborn baby (although they do not have to be in a relationship) and we can work with the families up until the baby reaches the age of two. The significance of this two-year timescale is evidenced in all recent child development research.
You will have the opportunity to support the continued evolution of For Baby’s Sake whilst ensuring fidelity to the programme and sustaining the ethos and values of the For Baby’s Sake Trust.

Job Summary
Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.
The Museum is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual for the role of Philanthropy Manager. The role will contribute to our strategic priorities, working closely with the Senior Principal Gifts manager to cultivate and maintain relationships with new and existing funders. With opportunities to fundraise towards a diverse range of core and capital projects.
Working alongside an approachable and highly successful Philanthropy team, reporting into the Senior Principal Gifts manager, the role will support the development of our Principal giving strategy, building relationships with a portfolio of potential and existing funders engaging them through phone calls, meetings, written correspondence, events and by creating compelling proposals.

Main Responsibilities
Fundraising
· Raise income in line with agreed personal targets and KPI’s, contributing to the Philanthropy team’s current annual income target of £7m+.
· Cultivate a portfolio of major donor prospects in the UK and abroad at the six-figure gift level and support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager in the management of seven-figure gifts.
· Establish strong cross-Museum relationships to develop programme ideas in line with funders’ interests, and craft compelling cases for support.
· Work independently and in collaboration with the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, Head of Philanthropy and Director of Development to plan and implement creative strategies to increase philanthropic gifts at the seven-figure gift level.
· Actively solicit funding personally through bespoke cultivation plans and utilise senior stakeholders effectively when needed.
· Prepare written briefings for senior management for meetings with prospective donors as well as follow up documentation and correspondence.
· Ensure all required gift reporting is delivered to the highest standards, supporting the development of robust evaluation processes with colleagues where needed.
· Promote best practice in fundraising across the NHM.
Finance and Administration
· Work closely with Finance and project delivery colleagues to monitor incoming payments and ensure that donations are spent in line with funding agreements.
· Ensure full and timely records of all activity are kept on the database in adherence to set policies and procedures.
General
· Stay informed of key developments within the sector by monitoring government and third-sector policies and relevant publications.
· Attend evening and occasional weekend meetings and events, as required within the nature of the post.
· Assist with other duties that may be reasonably required.
Essential
· A demonstrable track-record in securing and managing gifts from high-networth-individuals, including research, crafting compelling proposals, and effective stewardship.
