We are seeking to recruit two Development Workers for Salford’s flagship Wellbeing Matters programme.
The Wellbeing Matters programme is a Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) led initiative delivered by Salford CVS in partnership with five VCSE anchor organisations. The Programme focuses on Person and Community Centred Approaches to improving the wellbeing of Salford people that are commissioned by NHS Greater Manchester, Salford’s five Primary Care Networks, and Salford Integrated Commissioning.
Wellbeing Matters Programme has two core elements, firstly community connecting / social prescribing. This connects people referred through health professionals with a non-medical need to local community assets to support an individual’s wellbeing, independence, and reduce social isolation. The programme aims to support people feel more connected to their communities, providing confidence, and social interaction connections, linking individuals to local activities and services. The main aim is to support individuals become prepared on how to manage their own health and wellbeing.
The second core element of the Wellbeing Matters programme supports the development and maintenance of the VCSE ecosystem that supports social prescribing through volunteering, voluntary action, community activities, investment and assuring quality of groups and activities. This element of Wellbeing Matters includes a team of Development Workers whose role is to develop the capacity of local VCSE groups and activities that ensures a healthy voluntary, community and social enterprise eco-system to socially prescribe into.

Main Purpose of the Role
Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth.
Working with the Corporate Partnerships Lead, this person will enjoy helping to develop all facets of the corporate fundraising area, working with and forging relationships with businesses to develop opportunities, fundraising and charitable giving, provide outstanding stewardship and relationship management, as well as helping to research and grow a healthy, robust pipeline of new opportunities.

They will help develop and implement operational plans, manage a portfolio of existing donors and work to identify prospective new donors and their networks. Key Responsibilities
Donor relationship management
- Develop lasting relationships with existing donors and new prospects, building and managing a portfolio of donors giving £5,000 upwards
- With the Philanthropy Manager and Major Donor Team, devise and implement online and offline communication plans with a clear focus on securing funds for CAFOD’s core programmes
- Steward donors effectively, to ensure satisfaction and long-term commitment. Communicate, thank and report back on the work of CAFOD using donors preferred channels, ensuring the highest standards of donor care
- Ensure systematic data input and management so that key information, donor interactions and communications are appropriately recorded in line with organisational systems and processes, and in compliance with GDPR and fundraising best practice
- Work with the Philanthropy Manager, the Research and Information Team, Senior Management colleagues and Trustees to carry out donor research, identify new prospects and grow the pipeline of donors.

You will have excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence, enabling you to foster strong relationships with donors and work colleagues.

The Food Chain exists to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives. We deliver meals, groceries and formula milk, run cookery and nutrition classes, and hold twice-weekly communal meals for some of the most vulnerable and isolated people living with HIV in London.
We are the only HIV Nutrition specialist charity in the UK: we exist at the intersection between HIV, food poverty and social isolation. Everyone accessing our services is referred by a health or social care professional who has identified that they are experiencing crisis. Each person receives a personalised Dietetic Assessment from one of our HIV Specialist Dietitians, designed specifically to meet their needs. By offering a tailored package of support, at the appropriate time, we help people to lead healthy, independent lives.
The Director of Income Generation & Partnerships, along with the Director of Services & Development, lead the organisation's small staff team to deliver vital services to an average of 500 people every year. The Director of Income Generation is a vital link in The Food Chain, ensuring income is secured to enable the delivery and sustainability of all our services and activities, and setting the organisation’s strategic direction for the achievement of our charitable purpose.
Since we were formed on Christmas Day 1988, The Food Chain has delivered food services to people living with HIV every week since. We were founded by volunteers, and are proud that volunteers are still key to the deliver of our charitable services. The Food Chain family is vast - it’s not at all uncommon for us to be out fundraising and someone run up to us with a shout of “Food Chain! I volunteered for you in 1994!”
Position: Director of Income Generation & Partnerships
Responsible to: Board of Trustees
Location: Flexible and remote working is offered to all staff. We have an office in Caledonian Road, London, and we deliver some services in Stepney Green. We envisage this role being hybrid.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Community Awareness and Engagement Manager to join our Policy and Health Influencing Team and support volunteers raising awareness of prostate cancer in their communities.
Alongside engaging volunteers speaking about their lived experience and hosting information stands, you’ll be delivering our new Lifesaving Conversations programme, giving volunteers the tools and confidence to raise awareness of prostate cancer risk in an informal way.
We use our knowledge to influence and reduce racial health inequalities across the UK and the world to save the lives of men, and more Black men, who are at double the risk of prostate cancer as the general population. You’ll manage the Black health equity engagement team whose main responsibility currently is to increase awareness, trust and engagement with Black communities, requesting volunteers to reflect the increased risk and impact of prostate cancer on Black men.
You’ll develop and manage relationships with key stakeholder groups to deliver a programme of community awareness and engagement around the risk of prostate cancer. You’ll also be providing role specific training to volunteers ensuring they have the tools to reach and engage with men most impacted by prostate cancer.
Collaboration is an important aspect of the role as you partner with Health Services, Equity and Improvement colleagues where Lifesaving Conversations and community awareness volunteers can support strategic objectives. You’ll also work with our Partnerships Team to deliver an income generating corporate awareness offer.
Working closely with the Volunteer Experience Manager, you’ll have input in communications, supporter journeys and developing community networks for volunteers. You’ll evaluate the impact of our work in engagement and awareness to increase our impact.
This is a rewarding role where you’ll get to meet volunteers and supporters and see first-hand the work of Prostate Cancer UK. Together we are supporting and raising awareness of the impact of prostate cancer, providing men with the knowledge of their risk and the power to act on it.

About the role:
