The Role
Head of Social Impact
This role will report to the strategy and partnerships director and will work closely with the research and policy director and political director, as well as other members of the senior management team, heads of teams and the wider staff.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Ensuring social impact is considered across our work
- Maintain Green Alliance’s reputation as a respected thought leader on climate and nature issues by leading and supporting the development and delivery of high quality strategies to secure impact in the environmental / health policy intersection. This may include research and policy development, political advocacy strategies and communications work.
- Advise colleagues on the narratives, framings and relationships that we should build in order to further our goals and use skills and experience to help build these. Use your networks to help us land our work with impact involving the right partners.
- Work with theme leads and the senior management team to design research plans that will ensure we are considering the distributional and other impacts our policy recommendations would have for different parts of society.
- Engage business, unions and other stakeholders to strengthen Green Alliance’s insights, political advocacy and communications work.
- When managing projects delegate, manage, support and develop staff who are part of the project team
Strategy:
- Support the development of an organisational strategy that recognises the importance of fairness, equity and social impact.
- Ensure that the day-to-day execution of our strategy is informed by our longer-term ambitions and aspirations.
- Develop a framework for mapping the political stakeholders Green Alliance engages with and execute a plan to diversify them in a way that is supportive of our goals. This may include exploring our relationships with regional political leaders.
- Undertake broad stakeholder mapping and work with colleagues to ensure we engage with the most effective organisations to deliver our goals.
Fundraising:
- Understand our philanthropic and business partnerships and develop a plan to increase and diversify them in ways that support the organisations goals and projects. Secure funding to undertake collaborations with relevant organisations to undertake innovative projects.
- Monitor and evaluate the results of projects and impacts, collating evidence effectively in reports to funders.
Other:
- As this is a senior role, you will help to support organisational decision making and model effective leadership.
- Support colleagues with other tasks, as required.
- Contribute to strategic, project planning, and organisational development processes.
- Represent Green Alliance at meetings, seminars, conferences and in the media, as required.
- Write articles and blogs for Green Alliance and outside bodies in line with organisational objectives.

- Significant track record of working at a senior level on issues that relate to any of the following: health, social justice or broad fairness related issues. Your track record will relate to either policy, public affairs or campaigns.

You will lead a talented Key Relationships Team of twelve, responsible for raising nearly £15.5 million annually from major donors, legacies, and mid-level giving. Your leadership will maintain the team’s strong performance while driving growth, including the UK’s contribution towards Greenpeace’s global capital campaign in 2025.
The capital campaign is a global effort to raise €100 million by 2028, funding the construction of a new ship and the environmental campaigns it will support. For 2025, the UK’s target is to secure £4 million, split equally between the ship’s construction and supporting key environmental campaigns.
As a strategic leader, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Greenpeace UK and internationally, playing a key role in driving organisational fundraising performance, cultural initiatives, and Greenpeace’s overall strategic direction.
As Deputy Fundraising Director, Key Relationships, you will:
- Collaborate with senior leadership across Greenpeace UK and International to align on key strategies and deliver shared outcomes.
- Lead a high-performing team responsible for raising £15.5 million from major gifts, legacies, and mid-level giving.
- Guide the Key Relationship team’s UK contribution to Greenpeace’s €100 million global capital campaign, raising £4 million in 2025.

ESSENTIAL:
- Extensive experience of establishing and sustaining relationships with senior-level external stakeholders and/or funders.
- Cross-organisational collaboration experience, with a proven ability to work effectively with senior internal stakeholders, driving collaboration and strategic alignment.
- A strategic leader with experience overseeing high-value income streams.
- Expertise in relationship fundraising in the charity/NFP sector and a proven track record of delivering six-figure income from high-value donors.

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will focus on increasing donations from individual supporters. Specialist Behaviour Support Workers are responsible for supporting people with learning disabilities and behavioural needs to live full lives, develop skills and maintain their wellbeing.
We are looking for a specialist behavioural support worker of skilled, creative and experienced support workers to support one customer in his own home in Letchworth Garden City. Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Specialist Support Workers provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. You’ll be an effective project manager, able to work proactively and collaboratively with staff across the organisation to showcase the vital work colleagues in the litigation team conduct out of the spotlight. You will be confident in working with a variety of stakeholders, including journalists, lawyers and marginalised communities. About the Organisation
The employer is an independent charity that provides emotional and practical support to cancer patients. It was named after one of its patients Alan Dumbell. He felt that although he had a loving family supporting him, he still felt lonely and lost at times and to have someone to talk to who understood what it is like to have cancer or support someone through cancer would have meant the world to him at this time.
Their wonderful volunteers can support patients by sitting with them at appointments or on the ward, providing support to the patients and their families by referring them to relevant services and providing telephone support at home and they can also be there at the end of life. Position
Reporting into the Head of Communications, this is a strategic and hands-on management role responsible for driving ShareAction’s media function and acting as a key business partner for colleagues across the organisation. Using your experience of developing media strategies, you will advise teams on how to enhance ShareAction’s position as a thought leader on responsible investment, support organisational goals to influence decision-makers and engage target audiences and help manage ShareAction’s reputation by advising on risk and mitigation. You will line manage a Media Manager and Senior Media Officer in the UK and provide guidance to a Media Advisor in Brussels to design and deliver high-quality media relations activity and ensure the effective operation of ShareAction’s press office and internal processes, including media monitoring and reporting.
You'll play a key role in the development of campaigns to hold global companies to account for their impact on people and planet and promote research and recommendations to support our vision of a world where responsible investment is the norm. About the Role
This is a key role within the communications team that will see you create understanding and awareness between the organisation and the key local and regional audiences that matter, as the charity embarks on its biggest ever period of growth.

About the role
We are excited to be advertising this newly created role as part of WGN’s growth. This role will be the lead on the finance function. Reporting into the Director of Finance and Resources, the role works closely with stakeholders across the organisation including executive leadership, with a specific focus on working closely with the Director and external auditors.
