More about the role:  You will plan and deliver engaging sessions, creating opportunities for young people to develop new skills and build confidence. Depending on your experience and interests, you could lead activities such as farm maintenance, cooking, horse work, or creative projects. In addition, you’ll contribute to the wider life of the farm, supporting feeding rounds, meal preparation, and other daily routines. You will collaborate closely with the Bath team to ensure the smooth delivery of each visit, helping to create a safe and supportive environment for all.

Role purpose

In this new role, you’ll create and grow fundraising opportunities from businesses, individuals, community groups and grant-giving trusts and foundations to help Cirencester Food Bank realise its aim of ending food poverty.

You'll be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting relationships with our stakeholders and the wider Cotswolds Community.

Responsibilities

• You’ll identify and prioritise a pool of potential Trusts and Foundations funders for Cirencester Food Bank and, working with colleagues, you’ll develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding bids that can successfully engage new and existing Trusts and Foundations funders.
• You’ll work closely with and support the Head of Cirencester Food Bank and the Foodbank’s Treasurer in maintaining and evolving existing relationships, and seeking and pursuing new funding and grant opportunities.
• You’ll engage with local community groups, associations, events, schools and businesses in order to inform and educate on the causes of, and solutions to food poverty and to grow the Foodbank’s community fundraising reach and income.
• Utilising the knowledge gathered from the local community and the Foodbank, you will provide input into relevant stakeholder groups to help end the need for foodbanks.
• You’ll generate and distribute communications to stakeholders and community groups about the work of the Foodbank, which will include: marketing and information brochures, the Foodbank’s annual food poverty report and other external messaging in written, published social and electronic formats
• You’ll represent the Foodbank at community events to ensure effective sharing of the work of the Foodbank, and to develop relationships
• Capitalising on your community connections in the local area, you will support the Foodbank’s Operations Manager in raising awareness of the need for food donations if stocks become critically low, or for key campaigns around Harvest and Christmas.
• You’ll work with colleagues to support client engagement to ensure stories and case studies are captured which help illustrate the charities impact, issues that lead people into food poverty and enable further advocacy, which can then be shared with funders and the wider community.
• To enable fundraising and community relationship activities, you will maintain the Foodbank’s customer relationship management systems
• You’ll produce fundraising and community relations reports to agreed deadlines

Key Skills and Experience:

• You’ll have a proven track record of building relationships with individuals, community groups, trusts and foundations and other donors to achieve and exceed annual income targets and Key Performance Indicators.
• You’ll have the capacity to create and craft compelling proposals and appeals that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.
• You’ll have strong experience of corporate partner and individual giving fundraising.
• With excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling and winning funding proposals and appeals.
• Your strong IT skills will enable you to use and develop the Foodbanks systems to maximise fundraising impact and community engagement.
• You’ll have an understanding of other areas of fundraising, such as grant giving trusts and foundations fundraising and fundraising from community groups and associations.
• You’ll have experience of setting, managing and reporting against fundraising KPI’s.

More about the role: As Visit Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating up to four visits a month, leading activities such as woodwork, gardening and horse care, and contributing to daily farm activities like walks, mealtimes, and evening programmes. You will serve as the primary group leader for designated weeks, managing pre-visit coordination, on-site engagement, and follow-up support ensuring a smooth experience for the schools and young people involved.

You will also complete administrative tasks, including documentation and progress tracking, and collaborate with visiting staff to ensure they maximise the impact of their Jamie’s Farm experience.

Youth Development Programmes Coordinator

SHP (Single Homeless Project) is one of London’s leading homelessness prevention charities and a dynamic and growing organisation changing 10,000 lives every year across London - from supporting people in crisis, to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment.

We are seeking an experienced and a highly motivated staff member for our Complex Needs Accommodation Service. This Project is a 15 bed mixed gender supported accommodation based in Islington. The role will require you to work alongside the Regional Services Manager, to provide a high level of support to these clients.

You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people with complex support needs relating to: mental ill health, physical health & substance use needs. You will also play a key part in reducing the risk of re-offending, liaising with external professionals, preventing homelessness and promoting the independence and social inclusion of these clients.

The working rota for this post is Monday-Friday (no weekend shifts) and a mixture of earlies (8am - 3.30pm) & lates (3pm - 10.30pm.) We strongly welcome applications from local residents of Islington.

• Previous experience of working with people with complex support needs.

In this temporary position, the Program Officer will fill a unique, multi-faceted role that offers the opportunity to leverage their program management experience to help lead a complex global coalition at the intersection of human rights and technology. This is a temporary position, maternity leave cover, with an expected end date of April 15, 2026. This position will support a global Internet freedom initiative that will support local civil society, independent media, and human rights defenders to better prevent and respond to digital repression in their own contexts, particularly in repressive contexts. The activity focuses on building long-term, local resilience among civil society through a networked approach involving global, regional, and local actors. The activity provides technical assistance on digital security, digital governance advocacy and engagement, censorship circumvention, and holistic legal, psychosocial, and physical security support.

Under the guidance of the Deputy Chief of Party and in coordination with the larger project team (including the Advisors and Chief of Party), the Program Officer will oversee the implementation of activities, ensuring strong coordination with other project objectives, and compliance with USAID and Internews policies. The Program Officer will work closely with project partners, support internal coordination efforts, and be responsible for effectively sharing the impact and successes of the program. Further, the Program Officer will support, when needed, the business development, start up and oversight of related Associate Awards and Buy-Ins.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, with other duties upon request:

Program/Project Management:

• Provide project management and program implementation oversight, strategic planning, analysis, personnel, grants, procurement and finance tasks as needed.
• Serve as primary point of contact for regional and local partners
• Assist in the development of team systems, norms and practices.
• Supervise at least one (1) full-time staff, including assigning work, approving timesheets and managing their workload (as needed).
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with international, regional and local partner organizations and ensure that implementation is responsive to the needs of partners and beneficiaries.
• Support the MEL Specialist and the MEL Partner in developing and implementing strong MEL frameworks and activities, ensuring that all project partners understand MEL requirements.
• Support the development of Associate Award and Buy-In proposals, project start-up and ongoing coordination; ensuring (when needed) that project staff are onboarded, existing processes and approaches are shared, and regular communication occurs across all relevant teams.

Administration & Finance:

• Manage the implementation, communication and programmatic oversight of all subgrants (PASS and HQ managed) issued under Civic DEFENDERS. This includes reviewing the prospective grantee applications, program and design, budget negotiations, payments and partner reporting.
• Ensure all funder approval request packages are complete and ready to be sent by the COP/DCOP.
• Oversee all administrative aspects of the Civic DEFENDERS digital governance activities, in coordination with the COP, DCOP and Business Management team.
• In coordination with the Business Management team, ensure program implementation complies with funder requirements and Internews’ policies and procedures.
• Oversee the implementation of personal service contracts, outside service contracts and simple service contracts.
• Support COP, DCOP and Advisors in ensuring that timelines are met, deliverables and approvals tracked.
• Support hiring efforts for project staff and consultants, including ensuring effective onboarding.

Writing & Research:

• Support the writing and compiling of program reporting, including quarterly reports and annual workplans, ensuring the final product sent for DCOP/COP review is complete and timely.
• Review and respond to work products from partners, as needed.
• Support internal and external communications, including website, 2-pagers, summaries, etc.
• Represent team and Internews at events, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Vacancy

This role provides an exciting opportunity to engage with Saferworld’s work funded through ‘commercial’ contracts, and to strengthen systems for their financial management and compliance.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the Finance Business Partner will provide effective finance partnering to country offices to drive high quality financial performance. The post holder will support financial planning, budgeting and reporting, provide financial analysis and commercial insight, and informing strategic decision making for their assigned business area to maximise financial contribution and/or optimise impact.

The post-holder will work closely with budget holders including Directors, head of business and Country Directors/Managers, in-country finance managers and country teams, accompanying processes and delivering solutions to ensure processes are effective and appropriate – e.g. monthly and quarterly management accounts, annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting and ad hoc analysis as necessary. The Finance Business Partner will also be tasked with supporting successful implementation of our fundraising strategies and targets for cost recovery.

An exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting young people to build resilience and thrive.  At an exciting time of growth for our charity, we are looking for two enthusiastic and dedicated leaders to manage programmes and daily operations at either our existing Hill House Farm or our newly opening 7th farm at Lower Shockerwick, set in adjacent beautiful woodlands and parkland, supporting the creation of our new ‘Bath hub’.  You will play a key role in ensuring our young people have a meaningful, inclusive, and memorable experience with Jamie’s Farm, feeling the positive impact long after their visit. 

What is Jamie’s Farm?  Jamie’s Farm is a charity that supports young people by combining therapeutic work, farming, and purposeful activities to help them thrive. Through residential visits to our working farms, we provide a nurturing environment where young people can reflect, build confidence, and develop the resilience they need to overcome personal challenges. 

Known within the organisation as ‘Team Leader’ 

More about the role:  As Team Leader, you will manage the delivery team at either Hill House or Lower Shockerwick farms, working alongside the Head of Hub to lead an impactful programme. Your responsibilities will include leading up to four visits per month, ensuring the smooth delivery of residential visits, and fostering a culture of empowerment and collaboration within the team. You will help achieve key performance goals including high visitor retention and staff satisfaction rates, while also leading professional development and team-building activities for your team. 

You will participate in all aspects of farm life—leading walks, guiding young people through activities like gardening and crafts, and creating meaningful connections during shared meals and evening programmes. You will also serve as the main contact for a set of partner schools, building strong and supportive relationships. 

About you:  We are looking for an experienced and passionate leader who embodies Jamie’s Farm core values of positivity, passion, generosity, collaboration, and professionalism. You will have experience working in a social work, therapeutic, or educational setting. Prior management experience is preferred, showing your ability to support and motivate teams effectively and you will bring exceptional communication, teamwork, and organisational skills to the role.

Your dedication to helping young people thrive, especially those in challenging circumstances, will drive the success of your team and the programme.
