We are looking for an experienced corporate fundraiser to join our Fundraising Team. You will be a compelling and engaging communicator who can work at all levels of the organisation to cultivate and develop the relationships that will enable the Ri to achieve its strategy. You will be a strong account manager and skilled in securing new business, managing a portfolio of corporate supporters at different stages – from prospecting through to pitching, contracts negotiation and partnerships renewal.

About the role:

About the role
As our Product Events Executive, you will be working across our portfolio of amazing third-party events, including the Brighton Marathon Weekend, Hackney Half Marathon, Cardiff Half Marathon and the Action Challenge series. About the role
As our Senior Data Executive, you’ll be ensuring effective data management for the BHF by extracting data for marketing communications, supporting data imports, and collaborating with marketing and technical teams to optimise data quality. You’ll be responsible for marketing data extracts, maintaining data quality through CRM updates using an ETL tool, and championing data best practices while identifying areas for improvement.
Collaborating with fundraising and marketing teams to establish selection criteria for data extracts, you will ensure accurate and timely data exchange with suppliers, manage CRM database data, and resolve data quality issues. This is a blended role, where your work will be dually located between your home and our London office.

About you
With proven previous experience running complex and large database selections in a busy direct marketing environment, you'll have experience ensuring complex and high-volume data quality and accuracy. You’ll have strong experience with Blackbaud CRM or similar systems, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and a proven track record in importing and exporting data with external agencies. Your attention to detail and strong numeracy skills will enable you to deliver high-quality data management.
Ideally, you will have a background in fundraising and have gained experience in providing data and interpretation to direct marketing teams for major campaigns, as well as writing SQL queries. You’ll also have a good standard of communication in both written and verbal forms and have experience working with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver workloads to strict deadlines. You will be experienced managing multiple tasks and your own time, prioritising workload appropriately while remaining supportive to your team.

About the role
Location: Community based in the South Devon area with some home working elements
Contract: 21 hour part time role
It is an exciting time to join Alzheimer's Society and the Group Facilitator role will ensure people affected by dementia are able to meet others in a similar situation, access the support they need whilst enjoying meaningful and often exciting activities.
Our groups in South Devon are an integral part of the community and to people living with Dementia, they have been a life line to many. The groups include 2 memory cafes that operate once a month and 2 Singing for The Brain groups, that operate twice a month. The facilitator will attend these groups and support the volunteers in activities, organising speakers and bringing the group together. The successful candidate will be managing a supportive and experienced team of dedicated volunteers.
You will:
- Setup, promote, establish, organise and facilitate or deliver group(s) and ensure that all attending are supported to fully engage in the session.
- Recruit and guide volunteers that the volunteers have clarity about their roles and undertake appropriate training.
- Take views and feedback of service users, taking into account the individual needs of members of the group.
- Assist the service users to feel welcome and to understand the aims and benefit of the group(s), and welcome all new attendees, providing information about the group.
- Proactively support an inclusive and welcoming working environment where all people we support feel able to be themselves.
About you
We are looking for a compassionate, supportive person with a good understanding of dementia and how it impacts both the person with the diagnosis and the carer. Our role requires excellent communication skills to engage people in group activities, ensuring the person with dementia can fully participate as well as the carer. The Alzheimer’s Society also offers a wide range of training and opportunities to enhance your knowledge base.
You will:
- To understand the importance of volunteers in group services and the ability to role manage volunteers to support them in their role.
- Good knowledge of dementia and an understanding of the needs of people with dementia and their carers
- Experience of co-ordinating individuals/teams or volunteers.
- Good computer skills are required to facilitate virtual groups, and to complete accurate records on the computer system.
- The ability to travel independently to the locations the service covers.
- A drive to enhance on areas of knowledge that may be limited and build on your knowledge that is already there.
- A warm and welcoming nature and approach.

The Evaluation Officer role is a specialist post created to support the management, development and implementation of evaluation programmes across Alzheimer’s Society. The role is pivotal to promoting a culture of continuous improvement across all directorates. The post holder will support the Evaluation and Impact Team in the development and implementation of evaluation and impact measurement programmes for support services, influencing and research activities across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
You are someone who is passionate about making a difference for people affected by dementia and understand the important role that evaluation plays in making this happen. You also appreciate the complexities that come with working in a large and fast-moving organisation but are able to prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively to get the job done. We are looking for a quick learner who brings an open mind and lots of enthusiasm.
The successful candidate will benefit from working as part of a small and supportive team, whilst also taking responsibility for a number of their own evaluation projects. They will connect with colleagues across the Society to understand areas of work and develop appropriate evaluation approaches, provide evaluation support and recommendations, report on and share findings.
You are:
- Proficient in Qualitative and Quantitative research approaches in social research
- Able to lead on 2/3 projects simultaneously, using project management approaches.
- Able to apply research methodologyinto practice from scoping projects, to producing reports and making recommendations, aligned to an evidence base and with the Help and Hope strategy
- Aware of differing evaluative approaches and tools.
- Able to facilitate training and focus groups
- Curious, with a problem solving approach to data collection to greater inform decision making
