With 1 in 5 children struggling with their mental health, our surf therapy intervention is needed now more than ever. We transform the lives of children struggling with depression and anxiety. Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord. They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning. 1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do. Symptoms can include haemorrhages, seizures and other neurological problems. Treatment involves 'wait and see', neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery; with no medications currently available.

We work from a model of empowerment, recognising the value of our members’ lived experience to provide mutual support, improve standards of care and drive research into finding a cure.
Since the charity was founded in 2005 it has grown from a volunteer-led organisation based in Dorchester to a UK wide registered charity that now has 2 part-time permanent staff, looking to increase to 4 Part-time staff (all home-based), 50+ volunteers, and 4,000+ members. About the roles: The Member Support Assistant is responsible for assisting our Volunteer Manager with administration relating to the support of the charity’s 4,000 members and volunteers. This includes offering a professional service to members of CAUK, typically via phone, email, online, chat, or on occasion in person. The role involves supporting the membership and volunteering processes, ensuring all admin is accurate and up to date. Over time the post-holder will be expected to build a good working knowledge of members and volunteers. They will also be expected to develop strong communication skills, including active listening, alongside the ability to multitask, manage time and prioritise.
The Events and Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Charity Manager with the administration of events alongside some general office activities for the charity. This includes assisting with the organisation of the virtual Annual Conference, virtual Monthly Information Webinars, in-person Annual Snowdon Climb for Cavernoma, online Cavernoma Awareness Month activities, in-person Autumn Lecture, virtual Secret Santa, attendance by volunteers at external conferences, and any other events organised by CAUK. About the Role
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Senior Housing IDVA for Solace co-located in Waltham Forest Housing Department. As the Senior Housing IDVA you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors of abuse attending housing including carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing short-term support and onward referral. In addition, you will act as the housing lead for Solace in Waltham Forest, providing advice and guidance to Solace staff and Waltham Forest housing professionals.
The Senior Housing IDVA will also hold line management responsibility. The Senior Housing IDVA will hold a small caseload of cases with complex housing issues for short-term support.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.
About You
We are seeking highly organised, self-driven individuals who are passionate about ending violence against women and girls (VAWG) and homelessness. Applicants should have a proactive attitude and a strong commitment to Solace’s feminist approach in supporting women and their children toward safety. Training and support will be provided as needed for this role.
The ideal candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, along with significant experience providing both emotional and practical support to survivors of violence against women and girls (VAWG). Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. The team is also responsible for delivering peer learning exchanges and knowledge sharing events both online and face to face across the organisation in addition to overseeing technical publications.
We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to be part of this global team, leading a critical pillar of the strategy on Food Security. This individual will oversee the Food Security function, including the development, refinement, and roll out of tools and training to support partners around the world as they establish initiatives targeting fish production, availability and affordability, to promote nutrition, food security and financial returns of fishers through assessments of the nutritional value of key fisheries, sustainable fisheries management, waste reduction initiatives, and interventions that increase the economic and nutritional value, as well as durability, of fish catch. Experience:
- Experience of working in a comparable role within the charity sector or education, with a proven track record of successful communications across a wide range of disciplines and platforms.
- Experience of working in a comparable role delivering communications to influence policy at local, regional and national level.
- Experience of efficiently and accurately analysing complex information in a clear and concise manner for written materials and for different audiences
- Experience of evaluating and analysing the impact of communications, identifying opportunities, and making and implementing recommendations.

The Consultant role will support the Director and Mobilise team to coordinate and deliver a range of projects supporting our clients. Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Executive – Volunteering and Operations, you will take on a varied role at the Charity Hub, including:

- Overseeing the recruitment, onboarding, training and daily management of Volunteers and Charity staff.
- Ensuring that the Hub serves as a dynamic space, offering essential information for all and providing engaging activities for patients and families, so they can learn more about GOSH Charity.

- Expanding the Hub’s opening hours.
