This role is responsible for supporting the growth, planning and delivery of KCLSU campaigning and organising activity ensuring that elected officers, Academic Associations, Networks and students are enabled and empowered to create strategic, member-led campaigns. Support our members to develop, shape and deliver their agenda, providing advice, coaching and guidance on how to develop impactful campaigns and projects. Work as part of the Student Voice Team to embed campaigning and organising across all areas of our work ensuring that students from every segment of the membership are empowered to make change through campaigns. Enable our communities (Academic Associations, Liberation Networks and Student Representatives) to grow and develop into effective representative bodies.

Responsibilities include:

Growing, planning & delivering KCLSU campaigns

• Provide resources, support and mentoring to student officers and student campaigners, utilising digital and offline organising models of engagement, to support them to develop hard-hitting and effective campaigns.
• Coordinate and work with KCLSU teams to support representatives and members in delivering their campaigns and communicate the impact of campaigning at KCLSU, building interest and recruiting new activists as a result.

Overall purpose

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations initially, the role holder will have technical leadership and overall responsibility for managing the Data and Innovation team. This team helps Breaking Barriers maximise the value of its data, by conducting analysis and managing the CRM (Salesforce) and related software.

The team works across all areas of the organisation to improve processes, unlock efficiencies through automation and generate insights from data. They ensure that data is utilised to inform any innovations or refinements to our services.

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

As the Risk and Internal Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fortifying our organisation by overseeing both risk management and internal audit operations. You will develop and manage CARE International UK’s risk management framework, maintain and update the organisation’s risk register, and provide regular risk management reports. You will also develop and execute an annual internal audit plan, ensuring compliance with recognised auditing standards. Your role involves coordinating with various CARE entities and overseeing specialist audits in areas like cybersecurity and GDPR. International travel will be required to support CARE International UK funded programmes.

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Ministry Development Officer (MDO) for ministerial and vocational flourishing to drive this critical work within the life of the Church.

The role is based within the Ministries: Vocations and Worship (MVW) team of the Connexional Team of the Methodist Church in Britain, which exists to equip the Methodist Church by training, developing and supporting those called by God to serve in lay and ordained ministry. The MDO will support the embedding of strategies which support the Church’s aspiration to be inclusive, justice seeking, evangelistic and growing.

Within the team, the MDO will be responsible for:

• Researching, developing, implementing and evaluating the impact of preventative strategies for ordained ministers’ flourishing and wellbeing.
• Developing wellbeing provisions in collaboration with others across the Connexion for lay volunteers and employees.
• Developing, implementing and delivering a vocations strategy to ensure that people’s rich diversity of gifts are valued, recognised and encouraged within the life of the Church, especially those traditionally under-represented and on the margins of the Church.
• Developing, implementing and delivering structured and planned vocational courses, programmes and discernment opportunities for those at various stages of their life, and faith, journeys.
• Developing the online presence (such as learning resources) of the M:VW team, especially in the areas related to vocational and ministerial flourishing.

You will also be able to forge partnerships as this role will require working and liaising with a variety of colleagues across the Connexional Team, and wider Connexion. The ability to reflect theologically and apply this to all aspects of the post is essential.

You will need to be a member in good standing with a CTBI church.

Employment Details

Contract type

This contracted post is fixed term until March 2025 with the possibility of extension and is 35 hours per week.  We welcome application for flexible working including reduced hours and other flexible working arrangements.

Salary 

Between £28,840 and £31,930 Plus 5% employer pension contribution.

Holiday entitlement

Our helpline is a first point of contact for many older people and their families and carers as they tackle a variety of issues around finance, social engagement, housing and council tax, travel concessions such as Blue Badge and Taxi card.  You will play a crucial role in answering our busy Information & Advice Helpline phone: listening carefully and sympathetically to callers, finding solutions to their queries or issues and. RJ4All is looking for an innovative UK Operations Director who will drive impactful social justice projects and community initiatives while fostering strategic growth and income generation. You will oversee our dynamic UK-based operations out of the Rotherhithe Community Centre, work closely with the Director, and lead our Centre-based team. 

Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) is a charitable, user-led international institute with expertise in preventing and addressing harm at the individual, community and inter-state levels. We are one of the world’s leading experts in transferring complex criminological and social justice concepts into practice through real-life pilots and community projects. 

The UK Operations Director will lead on the delivery, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of RJ4All’s UK-based services, and especially those run from the RJ4All Rotherhithe Community Centre. It is expected that they will generate income for the UK operations and contribute to new ideas for UK-based projects that fall within RJ4All’s agreed strategy. Finally, the post holder will act in place of the Director when they are unavailable or for any other agreed reason.

This post requires leadership and strong ethical commitment to RJ4All’s core values and vision, independence balanced against organisational priorities and focus. To this end, the postholder is expected to have excellent communication with the Director, and be able to participate in complex, high level discussions with the non-executive directors and other stakeholders about the future of RJ4All. • Lead on the management of RJ4All’s UK Operations especially those run from the Rotherhithe Community Centre, ensuring its facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.

• To lead on drafting applications for funding from government, trusts and foundations, donors and sponsors for UK programmes and services.

• To lead on creating and monitoring the UK Operations’ Theory of Change on annual basis, and review it against available data and individual projects’ Theory of Change.
