As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of People and Culture will work in a spirit of mutual accountability with fellow directors, taking strategic leadership of Turn2us’s People and Culture Directorate. You’ll have responsibility for strengthening our culture and supporting all our people managers to attract, develop and retain colleagues who are committed to our values and guiding principles.
You will take proactive leadership of our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) work across the organisation so that we can become more inclusive and diverse, as well as oversee our approach to co-production, making sure that we centre the voices and insights of people with experience of financial insecurity in the design of all our work. About the consultancy
Reprieve’s Operations team works with colleagues and consultants in Reprieve’s London office, in Washington DC and around the globe on HR, office management, IT, safety and security, procurement and general operations. The HR Operations Consultant will join the Operations team to cover a planned absence, working from our office in Whitechapel.
The consultancy will focus on HR processes and administration to cover the full employee lifecycle. This will include:

The new government has an ambition to halve knife crime within a decade, and we’re anticipating opportunities to work with them to build evidence on new approaches to tackling violence involving children. The Group Finance Director holds a key role in the executive team in the Foundation Office of the Charity. They are accountable for all matters relating to the UWGCF Charity finance, including the oversight of school income, endowment investments, loans, subsidiary companies, VAT, and the leadership of the Foundation finance team. To succeed in the job, the post holder needs to build effective working relationships with independent school bursars and finance teams and link effectively with the Business managers in the state funded academies.
The UWGCF is a complex organisation, and the post holder will need to demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build effective and supportive working relationships with other and be prepared to engage fully in the work of the Foundation. Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

Operational Leadership and Governance
- Overall accountability for the operations of the foundation
- Oversee and optimise internal processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity

Financial Management
- Oversee the development and monitoring of the financial strategy for the organisation, providing recommendations, information and guidance to the Trustees and Executive team to inform decision making
- Maintain and review polices and processes to ensure good financial controls are in place that meet both legal and tax requirements. This includes maintaining appropriate records and controls over restricted funds to ensure that these are used and reported appropriately
- Support the Finance Manager and Executive team in setting FNF’s annual budget, with robust analysis and justification of intended expenditure, financial forecasts, cashflow etc. securing active engagement and ownership from all internal budget holders
- Oversee the financial reports required to review progress against plans and forecasts throughout the year and ensuring these are disseminated and understood across the organisation
- Accountable for regular financial updates to Trustees including the Finance Investment Committee (FIC) and Board meetings along with the preparation of the financial aspects of the annual report and accounts
- Oversee the management and development of VAT reporting for FNF and trading subsidiary
- Oversee the financial aspect of FNF Global delivery to ensure compliance with HMRC
Systems and controls
- Lead in the development, implementation and monitoring of effective procurement systems and procedures, ensuring that FNF achieves best value and drives efficiencies through our external contracts
- Lead on the annual audit in accordance with current practice and the Charity Commissions Standard of Recommended Practice (SORP), liaising and managing the relationship with the auditors
- Oversee the operation of the payroll process and related HMRC contract ensuring that payments are made in an accurate and timely way
