- Process purchase ledger invoices, by prompt inputting of invoices onto Xero financial system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and authorised in line with delegated authority
- Prompt processing of transactions
Supporting the setting up of weekly payment run, ensuring all payment information has been processed accurately; prompt invoice administration and timely payments to suppliers
- Processing staff and volunteers’ expenses ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and authorised in line with delegated authority
- Recording gift aided donations on Giveclarity for claim from HMRC
Support the Operations & Office Manager in the day-to-day office operations
- Welcoming visitors to the office
- First point of contact for the Trust’s main telephone line
- Dealing with incoming / outgoing post
- Assisting H&S and housekeeping checks
- Maintaining and overseeing cleanliness and use of the London office, ordering stationery supplies, etc.
- Acting as a point of contact for contractors for regular maintenance visits
Support the External Relations Team
- Providing additional staff resources for key events, including the annual Festival at St Paul’s Cathedral, and Annual General Meeting for the Charity’s supporters

Job summary
RSTMH is a global society of over 2,000 members and Fellows based in more than 100 countries, run by a small and efficient team. This role oversees the team and office operations, supports the Chief Executive (CEO) and has responsibility for the success of key areas of the work of the society – membership, meetings and events and communications.
Our activities include organising events, supporting our members and networks, publishing two journals, providing medals and awards, running an Early Career grants programme, being a tangible part of the tropical medicine and global health network, and carrying out day to day office work.
This role will report to the CEO and is full time and office based, with a current trial for Mondays working at home. It has overall responsibility for the efficient and cost-effective operations of the RSTMH office, team systems and team wellbeing. Key responsibilities

About the role
The Social Mobility & Widening Participation manager has responsibility for delivering and overseeing key widening participation programmes in line with King’s Access & Participation Plan.

Main responsibilities:
• Oversee a range of widening participation programmes and projects aligned with the King’s Access & Participation Plan. This includes oversight of evaluation to monitor programme effectiveness and associated governance
• Line management of Widening Participation practitioners and directing the planning and implementation of their work objectives. This includes managing performance and undertaking relevant HR processes
• Be an active member of the Social Mobility & Widening Participation Department’s management team, contributing to discussion and decision-making
• Responsible for a budget, including reporting and annual monitoring of expenditure in line with department financial procedures.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in running workshops, classroom management, resource development and safeguarding

SMWP Manager 1:
It is anticipated that this role will initially focus on overseeing and expanding our suite of pre-16 programmes (including Step Up Scholars, King's Scholars, and Scholars Plus), alongside developing a new Parent Network. The postholder will also manage our school partnerships. A key part of the role initially will be working closely with the What Works team to lead a randomised control trial to evaluate the effectiveness of King’s Scholars, our KS3 programme. The postholder will drive a new, strategic partnership with a multi-academy trust, coordinating summer schools for teachers and activity days for sixth-form students. They will also develop a new programme to support Teaching Assistants.
SMWP Manager 2:
It is anticipated that this role will initially serve as the primary point of contact for King’s colleagues – both professional and academic, as well as King’s Maths School and KCLSU. The postholder will run the WP Champions network for King’s staff who support our work or run their own WP interventions. A key focus will be developing and running the new King’s Plus programme – a student support programme for all WP students at King’s (c 25% of home, UG students). They will develop a comprehensive communications plan for SMWP featuring an open content hub and podcast series. They will oversee all the community organising work within the department - this includes Parent Power, Empoderando Familias and Empower ESOL. As part of their early priorities, they will lead on the articulation and dissemination of relevant educational policy and research and ensure King’s provision is cutting edge and innovative.
These are hybrid roles which involve both remote and on-campus work, with a minimum of two office days per week (currently Tuesdays and Wednesdays) based at the Strand or Waterloo campuses. However, as these positions are delivery-focused, in addition to office days, the roles also require a substantial amount of time on-campus and in schools to run activities for young people. This can include regular evening and weekend commitments.

Alongside operational delivery, you will work closely with the Recruitment Delivery Manager and Head of Recruitment on future evolutions to our selection processes to ensure we remain market-leading in our approach. This includes designing content, piloting new activities and using data and evaluation to inform future developments and improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within our Recruitment Delivery sub-team of eight, contributing to a high-performance culture and ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
- Take a lead role in screening and assessing applicants against the necessary skills and attributes to join a Police Now programme. This includes all stages of the selection process – application form, online immersive assessment and digital assessment centre. Act as a contact point for candidate queries to support them through their application journey and probe for further information related to their eligibility when required.
- Oversee the running of assessment centres in the role of the assessment centre facilitator and/or manager to ensure all candidates receive a positive candidate experience and work with assessors to ensure consistent and fair assessment assessed across all exercises. Ensure timetables are created through our digital platform so all participants and assessors have the information required for their involvement in the assessment centres.
- Act as a main point of contact for assessors and actors, dealing with queries and overseeing scheduling and invoicing. You will also provide training and onboarding for new assessors when required.
- Oversee progress towards specific candidate pipeline targets, flagging areas of concern with a focus on under-represented groups within policing, and implement actions as required to exceed target expectations. Develop and deliver pipeline interventions such as unsubmitted application calls, pre-assessment centre phone calls, group coaching sessions and other tailored communications, so that candidates are fully prepared for each stage of the selection process.
- Support and lead on projects related to process improvement, content design and candidate journey and assessment evolution. This will involve working on developments to our assessment activities and materials when required, gaining stakeholder input into selection criteria and testing new methodology to ensure rigour. Conduct ongoing analysis of parts of the selection process, as well as end of campaign analysis, communicating outputs to relevant stakeholders.
Key requirements
- Motivation and passion for the Police Now mission, values, and working within the policing sector.
- Proven selection and assessment experience, preferably in a high-volume graduate environment or experience working in police recruitment services.
- Experience proactively managing high-volume candidate pipelines in a tailored and strategic way, using insights to improve candidate outcomes and progress to targets.
- Have diversity and inclusion at the heart of all you do, contributing to the ideas and delivery of our strategy to hire outstanding and diverse individuals.
- High level of planning and organising ability, with confidence managing multiple activities and deadlines, strong project management skills and good judgement and decision making to consider conflicting priorities. Ability to work at speed whilst ensuring attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to confidently persuade, communicate and build relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and target audiences.
- A strong team player, able to build relationships with a large team to understand priorities and flex working style appropriately; whilst also having the ability to work well independently, recognising when to act with autonomy and when to escalate.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and ability to develop knowledge and proficiency of Police Now’s applicant tracking system, candidate communication platform and digital assessment centre platform.
- There will be a requirement for set days to be worked within the office (approximately 2-3 days per week), or stated venues, to support with the running and delivery of events, as well as infrequent travel nationwide. Assessment centres are delivered digitally but may require flex to working hours including earlier starts, later finishes and occasionally Saturdays (time off in lieu provided).

Job Purpose

The Finance and Governance Officer will work closely with the CEO and COO to ensure the smooth running of TU, acting as the “glue” for the wider team and managing the day-to-day financial, governance and operational processes that are critical to high-quality delivery, compliance and impact.
The Finance and Governance Officer will provide robust and timely financial management support to the CEO, to ensure income is received and expenditure processed in line with our budgets. You will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing payments within our bank and accountancy software, ensuring good records are kept, and liaising closely with our external accountants to deliver monthly accounts. You will support the CEO to tighten up our financial oversight, processes and compliance. You’ll also play a critical role in making sure our brilliant tutors and classroom assistants are paid each month, working with the wider team.
With an ambitious new strategy and an increased Board of trustees, a core aspect of this role will be to coordinate excellent governance support, to facilitate strong non-executive leadership and challenge as we grow. This role will be an advocate for governance and performance monitoring within TU, ensuring the team contributes to Board papers and KPIs, and supporting the CEO to meet governance deadlines. You will also pitch in with frontline programme delivery at pinch points during the year - such as helping with daily lesson support from 4-6pm, helping with our annual graduation event, or monitoring incoming enquiries.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Children’s & Youth Worker to join our team at Oasis Church Waterloo, to work with our under-18s and their families. The postholder will have particular responsibility for developing the children’s and youth provision at Oasis Church Waterloo, leading the team delivering children’s and youth work on Sundays and also deepening relationships with our church families during the week. The Church Children and Youth Worker will also be responsible for developing and expanding the integrated children’s and youth provision across the Waterloo Hub, with significant input into developing school families support work and developing the staff and volunteer team.
Key responsibilities of this role will be:
· Working with our church ministers and volunteer children’s/youth team leaders to develop our children’s and youth work strategy, in line with the Hub Vision (and with the ethos and values of Oasis), that delivers holistic support for children and young people across the local community and recognises their hopes and aspirations.
· Working with our church ministers and children’s/youth workers across the Oasis Church Network to develop a curriculum for our work with under-18s in church.
- Encouraging the ethos of Oasis in the schools, supporting the development and delivery of Oasis Nine Habits resources.
The successful post holder must have:
· A relevant professional qualification in Youth & Community (JNC) or Teaching (QTS) or Social Work (QSW) at DipHE level or above, relevant NVQ (Level 3) or be able to demonstrate qualification by experience
· Proven experience in managing children’s work and youth work sessions
· Proven experience in management of volunteers
· Able to demonstrate full commitment to/embrace the ethos and values of Oasis
