We are looking for people to join our Bristol Complex Needs in Totterdown, Bristol as a Project Worker. The service provides accommodation and housing related support to people experiencing homelessness; dedicated to providing a safe, high quality and inclusive service to people while they are living in the hostel, and a positive move-on into independent housing.
In the role of Project Worker, you will:
- Oversee a caseload of clients and provide ongoing 1-1 support in an approachable, caring and person-centred way.
- Provide practical and personal support to clients with complex needs around areas such as housing and health.
- Have a good understanding of a person centred approach and how to provide the right support to clients to meet individual needs, identifying personal aims and ambitions and making plans to achieve them.
- Work with the team, external statutory agencies and voluntary organisations to ensure everyone has access to available support.
- Continue to develop your skills further around working with clients in a holistic way, and to gain a deeper understanding of housing and benefits law, and other specialist areas through training, supervision and line management support.
In this role you will work on a shift rota Monday – Friday 9am-5pm. In some of these role’s staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.
About you
We are looking for enthusiastic people with experience of dealing with complex and difficult situations in relation to people and helping people throughout difficult periods and a process of change. You should also demonstrate:
- A sound understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing homelessness, and the difficulties they can experience in accessing services.
- Some experience of liaising with a number of individuals or agencies to achieve effective outcomes for others.
- Excellent communication and listening skills and the ability to work with a variety of different people.
- The ability to work in a role that supports vulnerable people and maintain high level of contact with clients on a day to day basis.
- Above all, you should have a genuine desire to support people to transform their lives and a non-judgemental approach to working with people with complex needs.

At FearFree we are proud to deliver services across the Southwest to those impacted by domestic abuse, and we’re excited to be expanding our offer, with the introduction of a new Rediscovering Independence through Support and Empowerment (RISE) Service.
As a Support Advisor working part time or full time, you will be a fundamental part of our team, supporting the delivery of the RISE programmes and the development of the service. The service will provide a range of trauma-informed and person-centred support, focused on supporting those impacted by abuse to access education, training, employment or volunteering.
You will be responsible for providing trauma informed support through group work and 1-1 support. Working alongside a team of practitioners across our geographical patch in Wiltshire, the project aims to:
- Increase volunteers in FearFree and support people to access volunteering opportunities externally.
- Support individuals impacted by abuse to access training and employment.
- Help people access bespoke apprenticeships and internships.
- Support service users to increase and advance work related skills, such as the development of CVs, financial management and IT skills.
- Raise awareness of this agenda to a wider network.
The service will support victims of Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Stalking aged 15 and above, alongside perpetrators of Domestic Abuse – empowering victims and reducing the risk of recidivism for perpetrators.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in working with vulnerable people and an understanding / experience of the Education, Training and Employment (ETE) sector. They will have an understanding of trauma informed practice and ideally have experience implementing this within group and 1-1 settings. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of Employability skills and will demonstrate the ability to proactively engage with both local employers and local support networks/organisations to promote the skills of the individuals they are supporting.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks
- Work closely with the service manager to set up and develop the service, supporting its ongoing growth and expansion.
- Triage and assess service users to consider their suitability for the RISE Service.
- Utilise a trauma informed approach to help people return to or access ETE.
- Support individuals to increase work related skills, such as the development of CV writing, financial management and IT skills.
- Work with a diverse client group, creating bespoke action and support plans for each individual.
- Facilitate group support sessions in addition to one-to-one support.
- With support and advice from the Service manager, support and help develop new groups following a trauma informed approach.
- Build and further developing relationships/links with ETE providers and corporate partners to expand the provision for our service users.
- Risk assess those you are supporting and take proactive action to address risk and safeguarding concerns.
- Play an active role in the recruitment process of volunteers in addition to management of volunteers, ensuring they are kept up to date and involved in the organisation, and able to support our service users.
- Ensure risk assessments are completed where required and safety plans are completed on time and regularly.
- Work closely with the services across FearFree, developing close working relationships and supporting clients who may be accessing support from our other services.
- Record all contact with service users and abide by confidentiality requirements.
- Record and monitor data to enable the service to be fully evaluated.

Location: The role can be based in the UK or USA
For the UK, London, Hybrid: WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base. About WaterAid:
The climate crisis is a water crisis. Around the world, people are feeling the effects of climate change through water, including flooding, droughts, sea level rise, and irregular rainfall. Climate change is affecting seasonal and long-term water availability, meaning we can no longer rely on rain, river flows and aquifers.
The Resilient Water Accelerator is an initiative designed to increase the flow of private and public finance into water projects that help the most climate-vulnerable communities build resilience to climate change. Despite the high need, only 3% of total climate finance flows go towards water. Our mission is to demonstrate the business case for increased and enhanced public and private investment in water-related deals in emerging economies that strengthen resilience for climate-vulnerable communities and are replicable so that millions more can benefit. We are working to increase the speed, scale, and replicability of water investment by creating a pipeline of bankable projects, bringing together the right mix of financing with the right commercial structures and partners, and supporting improvements in the enabling environment.
About the Team:
We are a friendly, supportive, globally distributed team, bringing on-the-ground expertise and comprehensive perspectives, combining climate policy, water economics, private finance, measurement and evaluation, and governance. We are currently housed within WaterAid – the world’s largest NGO focused on providing water, sanitation, and hygiene outcomes for people in developing countries, and are one of WaterAid’s flagship programmes. We have a close partnership with Global Development Incubator, which is providing incubation support for the RWA.
The RWA currently has 11 staff, based in 6 countries, and we have plans to build the team to around 18-20 over the next couple of years, to extend our delivery from 2 countries (currently Nigeria and Bangladesh) to 6, and to secure additional financing to complement the investment we have secured from the UK Government.
About the Role:
The Manager – Climate & Water will play an important role in this small, international team by managing the integration of ideas, policy frameworks, and findings from research and practice into the Resilient Water Accelerator (RWA)’s programmes in our target countries and at a global level. They will report directly into the RWA’s Director of Programmes and Investment, shaping and delivering the future RWA as a highly effective and impactful learning organisation.
- Project management to ensure RWA’s Programmes and Investment-related activities are delivered on time and within budget. Using agreed project management software, track and report RWA’s programme-related deliverables.
- Conduct research and integrate findings to strengthen RWA Programmes design and delivery: Provide regular inputs and updates on water-related climate, and climate-related water policies, practices, and trends in RWA’s focus countries and target markets and at a global level using quantitative and qualitative approaches, to inform RWA’s understanding of local markets and project origination & early-stage development efforts.
- Support the creation and rollout of tools, templates, and business processes for RWA team members to integrate climate policy and climate finance into program operations: Collaboratively design, iterate, and improve RWA’s suite of tools and methods for use throughout RWA’s programming, including but not limited to: Understanding Local Markets (ULM), which includes scoping new markets for RWA operations and maintaining an understanding of the markets where we operate; Deal Origination and Early Stage Development, to integrate climate policy and finance into local decision making about opportunities and challenges;
- Summarize, synthesize, and effectively communicate climate and water-related ideas for internal (RWA staff & board) and external (specific & general) audiences: Support communications strategy and audience segmentation efforts; contribute to RWA’s external communications and knowledge products, to share and amplify how RWA is thinking and learning through diverse media, e.g., newsletter, blogs, field notes, podcast, social media.
About you:
- At least 5 years’ experience working in on climate-related issues, with a preference for climate policy in middle-income countries and/or climate-related finance.
- A passion for effective Project Management, process design, and continuous improvement cycles with an organised and structured approach to work, managing deadlines and competing priorities.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research, analytical, and modelling skills, with an ability to summarize, synthesize, and articulate findings in clear and coherent ways for diverse audiences.
- Intellectually curious and flexible, with a willingness to explore and test diverse ideas, try new things, and approach learning with a sense of humility and humour.
- Familiarity and experience working with GIS / other large-scale datasets to create models and conduct research and analyses preferred.
- Strong written and oral communications skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-cultural contexts. Experience facilitating virtual and in-person meetings, workshops, and trainings with diverse audiences preferred.
- Creative and open-minded when working with others in identifying, understanding, and resolving multi-dimensional problems.
- Masters’ degree in one of the following or related fields: climate science, climate and/or water policy, sustainability-related finance, business administration, public administration, public policy.
- Experience of working in and with geographically dispersed teams.
- Team player with a flexible mindset and ability to establish boundaries and adapt in response to changing priorities and demands.
- Able to work on own initiative, providing proactive advice and recommendations, and comfortable operating with a degree of uncertainty and change.

Liverpool SHS is a mental health, 12 hour supported housing and community based service, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, tenancy support, peer support and supported housing. Many people are experiencing mental health issues and urgently need support. That’s where our new service and you come in. Join Richmond Fellowship as a Recovery and Connect Worker and you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals access the support services and opportunities they need to improve their quality of life and ensure that their mental health is improving.
Chester and Wirral pathway is a community-based project that will assist people in hospital ready for discharge home from mental health inpatient settings. Your role will be in supporting patients in various hospital settings to overcome the barriers to them leaving hospital. This will include being part of MDT meetings, housing and benefits support, utility reconnection, identifying housing and a package of 12-week support upon discharge from hospital. Ideally candidates will have good housing experience. This is an agile role that will require travel between hospitals and the community.
Your challenge will be to support individuals with complex mental health needs to feel in control of their care, access mental health support and other local opportunities and build their emotional resilience. You’ll manage a caseload of individuals with mental health concerns, formulating support plans and establishing positive relationships with a range of multidisciplinary organisations.
You’ll need a significant understanding of mental health issues and substantial experience of working within a mental health setting where you dealt with ‘high risk’ clients and managing resources effectively. A good understanding of recovery and coproduction is important too, as is a proven ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff and delegate work appropriately. Adept at managing conflicting demands and priorities on time, you have a flexible attitude to working hours and, above all, keen to be part of something new and worthwhile that will change lives.
This is a fixed term role that ends on 31 May 2025. We have two vacancies available – one full-time role for 37.5 hours a week and one part-tie role for 15 hours a week.

Job Summary:
The Responsible Individual (RI) for Ofsted plays a critical legal role in ensuring that the Children’s Home complies with all registration conditions and regulatory requirements. The RI is tasked with overseeing the home’s operations, including ensuring that it runs safely, effectively, and in accordance with the law. This role involves leading the home’s management, monitoring service quality, and working closely with the home’s manager to provide supervision and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance and Regulation:
- Ensure the Children’s Home adheres to all relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
- Maintain and demonstrate effective knowledge of children’s home practices, safeguarding, and compliance.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and aligned with the Statement of Purpose and national legislation.
- Leadership and Management:
- Oversee the smooth running of the home, ensuring a safe, well-run environment.
- Responsible for the supervision of the manager.
- Monitor and improve service quality, implementing systems and processes to enhance safety and effectiveness.
- Report to the Service Provider on the adequacy of resources, quality of service, and any areas of concern.
- Safeguarding:
- Ensure all safeguarding processes are followed and regularly reviewed.
- Actively promote a safe environment for young people, ensuring effective safeguarding policies are in place.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
- Implement systems to assess, monitor, and improve the quality of care provided.
- Analyse patterns and trends from complaints, safeguarding incidents, and feedback.
- Conduct audits of young people and colleague records, and monitor the outcomes of inspections and regulatory reports.
- Oversight and Accountability:
- Establish clear lines of accountability between the RI and the home’s manager.
- Ensure the Service Provider is informed of the home’s quality, safety, and overall performance.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in managing or overseeing a children’s home regulated by Ofsted.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards in children’s services.
- Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding processes and how to apply them.
- Strong leadership and management skills, including financial management.
- Experience in working with young people and understanding their care needs.
- Ability to analyse service quality and implement improvements.
- Existing Responsible Individual registered with Ofsted.

About this key role
Our successful candidate will assess referred clients, with reference to St Giles Trust assessment practices, and produce support and risk management plans based on these assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the process. You will also deliver a holistic support service, working independently or with colleagues as the situation dictates, providing a practical service that will include social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, education, training and employment options, benefits work, and debt advice.

- A knowledge of ‘County Lines’ (drug distribution networks) and how they operate
