This is a part-time, 4 days a week role paying a salary of £60,425 FTE per annum (£48,340 pro rata). The postholder will be working in a hybrid model from their offices.

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and managing all fundraising streams, with overall budget responsibility to enable income generation that adds value across the organisation in line with the organisation's vision and values. You will lead the team in developing and maintaining supporter journeys for the development of relationships and retention with individuals, corporate partners and some charitable trusts.

They are looking for someone with substantial experience of working in Fundraising with a proven track record of successful income generation through different streams from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of delivering Individual Giving activities and strategies, including High Net Worth engagement. You will be skilled in producing engaging and inspiring copy for a wide range of prospect and donor communications.

Sussex Emmaus is a charity dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced social exclusion or homelessness. The Coordinator ensures the warehouse is organised and is following applicable laws and regulations. Duties & responsibilities
People

• To work alongside and train Companions to increase their skill base and confidence
• To organise the deployment of tasks to individuals and team members
• To train, supervise, motivate, and inspire volunteers and companions.
• To help devise and deliver induction on standards of work to new team members so that retail activities are delivered to the agreed brand, including customer service, merchandising, pricing, stock control, and culture
• To ensure that all activities under supervision are engaging, enabling, empowering and holding to account the team members

Warehouse Operation

• To ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operations by maximising quality donations and minimising waste
• To ensure day-to-day smooth and productive processes are being implemented to excellent standards for quality, culture, and legislative compliance
• To be proactive in the generation of donated stock, managing stock collection efficiently and effectively to the agreed standards and timescales under Emmaus guidelines
• To ensure premises, Health & Safety, security, and maintenance checks and actions are complete within the identified time, and to identify new checks or actions to schedule as to comply with Health and Safety requirements
• To ensure that cover for the safe operation of the Undercroft is always sufficient
• To cover van driving shifts as needed.

Stock Management

• To work closely with all Retail Managers to ensure each retail enterprise is receiving adequate stock to generate their required weekly sales targets
• To be responsible for ensuring that only sellable donations and those that conform to all relevant UK government and trading standards legislation are accepted for resale in the shop
• To disseminate any changes from Trading Standards as and when to relevant parties to ensure compliance
• To ensure all donated items are sorted and priced and merchandised to receive the optimum for the charity and the correct procedures are applied throughout the sorting process to allow for coding and pricing to be applied to items

Safety, Health, and Environment

• To oversee all Health & Safety requirements within the warehouse, taking corrective action as and when required, and informing/liaising with managers and team as necessary
• To assist in compiling risk assessments with team members
• Ensure safe working systems are adhered to in conjunction with the Emmaus policies and procedures, and are compliant with all relevant legal requirements
• To ensure that Health & Safety is adhered to in terms of equipment use and that manual handling guidelines are followed
• Ensure work areas follow correct processing procedures, ensuring that the work area is always kept clean and tidy
• Assist in delivering Health & Safety training to new Companions and volunteers
• Recycling/Re-use and Waste Management
• To recommend creative ways to upcycle, reuse and repurpose stock to maximise profit and reduce wastage
• To supervise the disposal of unsaleable items to minimise waste as appropriate in line with Sussex Emmaus’s Environmental Policy and procurement Policy.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team in Bristol as a Psychological Therapist. This post is offered as a fixed term contract until 31 March 2026 with possibility of extension, or as a secondment for internal applicants.

St Mungo’s Assertive Contact and Engagement (ACE) Service works with people with mental health needs who face barriers to support, and are not actively engaged with other mental health services. We operate across Bristol, running a variety of services including therapeutic groups and drop-ins as well as community outreach. The project reflects the diversity of Bristol and reaches people and communities that may have had difficulty accessing services that fully meet their needs in the past.  

As a Psychological Therapist, you will join the North Star team, providing dual diagnosis support for people experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health challenges. Your role involves offering therapeutic interventions to those who struggle to access mainstream psychological services, focusing on relationship building, psychoeducation, individual therapy, and trauma-informed care. North Star also supports clients in forming connections and making referrals to specialist services for long-term care when they're ready. Key responsibilities will include:  

• Manage a complex client caseload, offering weekly 1-1 therapeutic sessions, group therapy, and drop-in clinics at partner hostels.
• Collaborate with clients to identify goals for recovery and create person centred plans to support self-management, clinical progress, and social inclusion.
• Provide trauma-informed mental health care with a creative and flexible approach, fostering community connections and working alongside multiple agencies for holistic support.
• Work part-time for 30 hours per week across 3-4 days, including required Tuesday and Friday availability with flexibility for additional days.

About you

• Demonstrate a flexible and creative approach to engage with marginalised clients who may have multiple needs.
• Have experience of delivering therapy to people with multiple disadvantage, complex trauma and, substance use.
• Have a sound understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing homelessness along with an understanding of the difficulties they can experience in accessing services that are fully responsive to their needs. This may include personal lived experience of homelessness or accessing mental health services yourself.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide psychological guidance to colleagues, provide formulations and facilitate group supervisions and reflective practice sessions.
• Hold high level of specialist theory and practice knowledge of psychological therapy and an understanding of the psychological impact of social exclusion.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills of at least one core therapeutic model (e.g. CBT, psychodynamic).

For this role it is a requirement that you have Masters level training, or equivalent, in clinical or counselling psychology, accredited by the BPS. You will also need training in models of developmental lifespan psychology, psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology and two or more distinct psychological therapies. You will also be HCPC Registered, or a BACP / UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, or BABCP registered CBT Therapist.

• The ability to assess the needs of vulnerable clients and provide client-led support to address these needs in a variety of ways
• Thorough understanding of the principles of needs and risk assessment, and care co-ordination/planning, and the ability to coach others in these skills
• Proven record of supervising and supporting a team of volunteers to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable people
• The ability to use monitoring systems to record all aspects of project activity
• Experience of maintaining accurate financial records and evidencing all spend
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

About the role

As an Engagement Worker, you will be pivotal in delivering Shelter’s purpose to defend the right to a safe home by enabling those we assist to enforce their housing rights. You will be a key member of a new Housing First team in South Tyneside, delivering intensive support to a small number of individuals with multiple disadvantage to move from homelessness to sustaining a tenancy. As the team is new you will need to form links with partner organisations and agencies and your role will be fundamental in supporting someone on their journey through Housing First, supporting five clients at any one time.

About you

You will need experience of support work, a proven ability to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, especially substance misuse services, health and probation and people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have an awareness of working in a trauma informed, strengths based approach to help people with multiple disadvantage, as well as having experience of writing and implementing person centred support plans and writing detailed case-notes.  Also, you have flexible time management skills and are comfortable collaborating with people from other teams and organisations.

About the role 

You will ensure we deliver high quality legal services and manage our Legal Aid Contract, with your main focus being to manage and supervise the legal teams who are advocating for clients with housing issues, as well as bringing about systemic change. You will be dealing with personnel issues, providing professional support and supervision to your team as well as carrying your own caseload of housing litigation.

Contributing to the strategic direction of Shelter legal services nationally will be an important aspect of the role too, as will taking the lead on delivering strategic change aligned to Shelter’s strategy and ensuring Legal aid contract requirements and performance targets are met.

You will be able to identify test case opportunities to address systemic bad practice and so achieve change for a greater number of people and will work closely with the Head of Legal Services, the Hub Management Team and teams within Communications, Policy and Campaigns and Business Development.

As a key member of the management team, you will also get to play your part in the management of our offices, including attending management team meetings and collaborating with other teams.

About you

You will be experienced in working under a housing legal aid contract, court advocacy, carrying your own caseload as well as managing and supervising others. You will have a minimum of 4 years post qualification legal practice experience, have supervisor status and have substantial knowledge of housing and homelessness law. Independent File Reviews, time recording and good case management will also be part of the role.

You are able to carry out research and policy analysis in the areas of housing, homeless and welfare law, produce reports and presentations.

The Legal Service is made up of four teams – Community Legal, National Legal, Strategic Litigation and Legal Support. The Community Legal Team are based throughout the England hubs. We have a new opportunity for a Service Development Manager to join our organisation and oversee our Pan and Central London Directorate.

• Working closely with the GLA on the Mayor’s Plan of Action to end rough sleeping by 2030 and will be transitioning our established No Second Night Out service into a network of Ending Homelessness Hubs.

• Working with other stakeholders to re-shape the Westminster Homelessness Partnership and support the delivery of Westminster City Council’s new Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy.  

Key responsibilities in the role includes:

• To participate in the assessment and development and bidding for of new opportunities.
• To establish and implement new contracts. To be directly responsible for the successful implementation and startup of new teams and services.
• To provide interim service management cover as required, as part of agreed service improvement plans or in case of recruitment gaps.
• To support Regional Heads in providing local managers and teams support and assistance where management or staffing concerns or Service of Concern issues arise.
• As a development opportunity - deputising for Regional Heads/Services Director on specific tasks or short periods of absence as needed and appropriate.
• Lead the process of planning, organizing, and executing time limited projects as required by the Services Director.

About you

The successful candidate will have experience of leading a team or teams delivering services to groups of vulnerable clients and of developing successful routes away from the street for people experiencing rough sleeping.

We are looking for people who have a proven ability to complete delegated tasks and to effectively manage multiple service priorities and commissioner contacts. Someone with the energy and project management skills to successfully seize opportunities, trouble shoot problems, implement projects and ensure effective contract compliance.

Our successful candidate will complete an Initial Needs Assessment, using a strength-based approach within agreed contractual timeframes, before dynamically assessing need and risk, alerting to changes that could indicate change in risk or serious harm, including personal safety and safeguarding.  You will be expected to contribute to the design and delivery of an effective accommodation plan which is solution focused and practical, and to advise and support Service Users to achieve outcomes informed by your specialist housing knowledge and comprehensive understanding of accommodation and local service provision.

About the Role

As Young People Support Worker you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service. You will participate in our programme of meaningful activity by running group sessions and activities within the accommodation to support young people’s individual development and social engagement.

You will work a rolling rota of daytimes, evenings and weekends (some shifts will be lone working) including bank holidays to ensure that young people have full staff support during their most difficult times.

The Health Coordinator will play a key role in connecting people to essential healthcare services, strengthening early intervention work, and supporting community-led public health initiatives. The role will also focus on homelessness prevention and ensuring that people face challenges with housing, mental health, and substance use receive the right support at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Access to healthcare and preventive support

• Implement a pre-treatment approach across all WSUP’s activities, ensuring that people who are not yet ready to engage with formal healthcare services receive support and information, including harm reduction, peer mentorship and stabilisation services.
• Link people to healthcare providers, mental health services and addiction recovery programs.
• Monitor preventative care initiatives, including TB and Hepatitis C screenings, to promote early detection and intervention.
• Lead public health campaigns to increase awareness, challenge stigma and promote access to healthcare.
• Develop partnerships with GPs, the Rough Sleeping Health Working Group and local health teams to coordinate care and share resources.
• Use data-driven insights to identify gaps in services and advocate for improved health provision.

2. Prevent homelessness

• Implement a casework framework to support people at risk of homelessness.
• Develop referral pathways with GP practices to ensure healthcare professionals can refer people at risk of housing instability.

3. Strengthen volunteer and safeguarding capacity

• Recruit, train and mentor Peer Support Volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide outreach and advocacy.
• Ensure strong safeguarding practices across all health and homelessness prevention initiatives.
• Engage with the community to shape WSUP's health programs based on lived experiences and local needs.
• Build long-term capacity, embedding Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) into WSUP’s services.
