ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centered support for service users. You will oversee accommodation projects that provide safe and stable housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and ensure that tailored support is available for those with complex needs.
You will also manage our Peer Mentoring Outreach Service, which empowers individuals with lived experience to mentor and support those at risk. Through innovative and inclusive approaches, you will help foster resilience, self-confidence, and long-term positive outcomes for service users.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm with flexibility. Participation in the On-Call out of hours rota is also required.

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership & Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of staff and volunteers to provide high-quality services.

About You
You have secretarial experience gained in a legal practice and audio/copy typing skills with a minimum of 70 wpm, along with advanced knowledge of IT tools including case management systems and MS Office systems. You have great written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working as part of a busy team.

East Hampshire Supported Housing provides 12-hour professional support throughout the night for people with mental health issues. We provide a person-centred holistic approach to promote the recovery of the people who live there and help them regain their independence. The individuals entering the service have high-level support and care needs that can include serious mental illness and/or a history of substance misuse.
Our role is to support them, identify and meet their diverse needs and help them on their personalised recovery journey.
About the role
This challenging front-line role comes with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, contracts, staff and building maintenance. As well as ensuring the very best delivery and offering direct employment support to Service Users, you’ll be responsible for promoting the service and managing all referrals. Line managing and providing supervision to front-line staff, providing individual and group support sessions to Service Users, ensuring data entry to reporting systems is accurate and timely, and taking responsibility for the service budget – these are just some aspects of this varied and vital leadership role.
About you
To succeed, you’ll need a proven relevant background that includes experience of managing a caseload of individual with complex needs. A relevant professional qualification would be useful but not essential, as would experience of carrying out investigations and writing reports and recommendations and managing a budget. We are looking for people to join this exciting pilot as Assessment and Reconnection Workers. The service delivers a new approach to preventing rough sleeping, through the provision of accommodation with onsite specialist move-on support to those who are at immediate risk of sleeping rough. The service will provide a route and support for single homeless clients who are presenting to the Local Authority Housing Options or day centres who have not been sleeping rough yet but who are at imminent risk of this happening.
Where homelessness cannot be prevented by the council a referral can be made into the Rough Sleeping Prevention service, which is run across London to support as many people as possible. The service will work in partnership with the local authority to secure onward move-on options e.g. access the council private rented sector (PRS) scheme, advocating for access to supported housing.
In these roles, you will work across 2 of our London locations in Islington (24/7 Assessment hub space for up to 15 clients), and Lambeth (medium support accommodation).
Each site will have a team delivering casework and support, providing each person with a comprehensive assessment of their needs and circumstances, and intensive specialist support to secure move on. In the rewarding role of an Assessment and Reconnection Worker, you will:
- Be part of a busy team environment working closely with those new to, or at risk of rough sleeping.
- Provide a personalised case management service to clients, turning assessment recommendations into practical action plans which fully involves the client.
- Build and maintain effective relationships to support clients throughout their recovery.
- Work on the 7 day weekly rolling rota including early middle, and late shifts.
About you
These roles will suit people with experience of working at pace in a public facing environment with the ability to adapt to new situations.
- An understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerable people and the difficulties they experience in accessing services.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with others whilst managing your own time.

Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Outreach Coordinator to join the Bristol Street Outreach team. Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.
In the Coordinator role you will support the Service Manager and oversee the day-to-day delivery and progress of the Bristol Street Outreach team. You will:
- Oversee the case management of Outreach Workers and other staff.
- Coordinate our response to migrant street homelessness and our specialist roles.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the Local Authority, other homeless services and housing providers.
- Have the opportunity to support the Service Manager in collating information for reporting to demonstrate the themes and issues the team face.
Flexibility is essential as you will be expected to work outside of your normal working hours when required, covering shifts that include early mornings, nights and weekends.

However, you will be part of a supportive team, keeping in regular contact and where necessary working together. You will receive an induction where you will work alongside an experienced member of the team before lone working.
You will have your own caseload of residents, visiting them in their homes and supporting them in the community.You will contribute to the smooth and safe running of the service by providing consistency and reliability. You will have a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations. You will also support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk.
