About the role:

The Newham Visiting Support Service provides intensive floating support for individuals who have experienced homelessness in the borough. Newham Visiting Support Team works across 5 Housing Management Organisations (HMOs) in the London Borough of Newham.

This role sits within a dynamic and collaborative service that plays a crucial part in Newham’s wider housing pathway. Working closely with local partners, the team delivers intensive, short term resettlement support to people transitioning from temporary accommodation into private rented housing. The service exists to help reduce the risk of repeat homelessness and support people in building independent, stable lives. By promoting social inclusion and practical independence, we aim to create lasting impact and improve wellbeing for each person we support.

As a Resettlement Worker, you'll be central to this mission. You'll be supporting up to 15 clients at a time as they take the next step toward secure housing. Your work will be varied and meaningful: helping people maximise their income, manage tenancies, set up essential utilities, and navigate relationships with landlords and key local services. You’ll create personalised support plans that connect clients to the right networks, encouraging independence while building their confidence and resilience.

About the roles:

Camden’s Integrated Drug and Alcohol service is offering an incredible opportunity for individuals with lived experience of homelessness and/or substance use to join a pioneering team supporting others in their recovery journey. With one year of funding secured, we are seeking two passionate and dynamic individuals to take on specialist roles, based at both treatment sites and within Camden hostels. These roles will also involve working alongside the In-reach team and the Specialist Women’s team, allowing you to make a tangible impact on the lives of clients by helping to shape and enhance services for those who need them most. You will be a familiar, trusted face, guiding clients through their recovery journey, empowering them to access treatment and overcome barriers, while contributing your own insights to ensure services are truly supportive and accessible.

In these roles, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in trauma informed interventions, working alongside expert practitioners to transform how clients experience treatment. This role will predominantly be working from our Day Centre but will also include work with night shelter clients.

Within the Day Centre you will be required to provide advice and advocacy and casework to people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness and maintain a caseload of clients working within a fast paced and dynamic small team. Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

We’re excited to be launching a brand-new Housing First service in Camden next month, and we’re looking for a passionate, skilled individual to join our team! You will be working in a unique new service that for the first time will be offering support to couples who have been rough sleeping and are to be accommodated separately in their own flats. With a three-year commission and the ability to support 30 individuals, this is your chance to be part of a fresh and impactful initiative within our organisation. You will work from a base in Kings Cross, delivering support in the community and within the homes of your clients. You will carry a case load of 5 people and will provide intensive and flexible trauma informed support that is centred around the strengths and needs of everyone. You will work closely with a wide range of external statutory agencies and specialist colleagues in the team who will include: a health worker, an IDVA, psychologist, sessional occupational health, and perpetrator support. 

The service will support an equal number of women and men. The people given priority for the service are likely to have been rough sleeping for prolonged periods, have been multiply excluded from services and have co-occurring conditions. There will be a strong emphasis on safety in situations that might relate to complex abuse within relationships and externally. 

About you:

• Experience working with clients who experience multi disadvantages, including building trust and positive relationships with people who have co-occurring conditions and who may be mistrustful and have a low level of engagement with services.
• A proven track record of achieving measurable outcomes with clients with complex needs.
• Awareness of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and violence against women and girls (VAWG), and an understanding of how the intersection of these issues can be supported and the people involved safeguarded.
• To show leadership qualities; skills of a strong negotiator; ability to advocate and be diplomatic.
• A level of numeracy, literacy and comprehension to input data, the ability to be fully self servicing in the use of emails and the common computer packages including SHP’s client recording system.

Help the Homeless Leicester (HTH) is expanding its frontline team with two proactive Caseworkers to support families in temporary accommodation as part of our Families Navigator Project. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with families experiencing homelessness, helping them move forward into secure, stable housing. The role is for 12 months, with the potential for extension, offering a unique opportunity to shape and deliver vital support to families experiencing homelessness.

You’ll play a key role in tackling the practical and emotional challenges faced by families in temporary accommodation—offering guidance, advocacy and access to resources that make a real difference. 

The project’s primary aim is to support homeless families in temporary accommodation by helping them to access and secure accommodation in the private rental sector. Additionally, the project seeks to alleviate the challenges and hardships often experienced by families in temporary accommodation. This will be achieved by providing additional resources, enrichment activities, and opportunities that foster a sense of stability and community. The role will also encompass safeguarding, facilitating workshops, signposting to relevant services, and delivering direct, tailored support to empower families.

Key Responsibilities:

Family Support and Housing Assistance:

• Build trusting and empathetic relationships with families, offering tailored, one-to-one guidance.
• Help families overcome barriers to accessing private rental housing, including applying for rent and deposit assistance and addressing landlord concerns. 
• Assist with property searches and provide guidance on navigating tenancy agreements and maintaining housing stability.

Workshops and Community Engagement:

• Facilitate or support workshops to educate families on accessing the private rental sector, managing tenancy responsibilities and overcoming housing challenges.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for families to engage with and learn from one another.

Resource Coordination and Guidance:

• Provide accurate information and signpost families to relevant services, such as benefit maximisation, employment support and health services.
• Make referrals to external organisations where appropriate, ensuring families receive holistic support.

Safeguarding and Confidentiality:

• Act in accordance with HTH’s safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all families.
• Identify and report safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure all personal data is handled securely and ethically.

Administration and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of interactions and outcomes for each family.
• Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Report challenges, trends, and outcomes to the Team Leader and Management, raising any concerns as needed.

Experience and Skills:

• Experience in casework, housing support, or working with vulnerable families in crisis.
• Knowledge of the private rental market, rent and deposit schemes and housing support services.
• Strong understanding and application of safeguarding principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable individuals.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting.
• Familiarity with local resources, benefits systems and employment support services is desirable.

The Street Engagement Team is a multi-disciplinary team that provides person-led support to people experiencing street homelessness and interconnecting needs.

A day in this role is never the same – part of it will be spent on the street, offering support to people experiencing homelessness. You might be out with another member of the team, or with one of our specialist health partners like a homeless health nurse, or substance use worker. Alongside this element of the role, the rest of your day will be spent intensively supporting a small caseload of people who are isolated from services.

You will have substantial experience in delivering a person-led, psychologically, gender and culturally informed service to people who are street homeless. You will be excellent at building and strengthening trust in relationships. You will be a problem solver, with a positive attitude towards change and service development.

You will also have the personal credibility to build confidence in the wider community and across partnerships.  You will be both strength-based and solution-focused, developing and enhancing the relationships with a commitment to embed coproduction into The Connections services.

Salary: £37,551

Providence Row tackles the root causes of homelessness to help people get off, and stay off, the streets. The charity was founded in 1860 to work with vulnerable people living in the East End of London.  We are extremely proud of how the charity has continued to grow and develop over 150 years.

About the role:

· Provide psychotherapy sessions on outreach in Newham.

· Flexible approach to meeting vulnerable clients.

· Deliver specialised outreach psychotherapy to individuals in Newham, focusing particularly on those who are or have been rough sleepers.

· Work collaboratively with Street Outreach Response Teams and other specialist agencies.

· Offer both formal psychotherapy sessions and informal support, adapting to clients' needs in terms of scheduling and locations.

· Conduct street shifts alongside the commissioned Outreach Service, introducing and promoting our service to potential clients.

· Support individuals transitioning into emergency, temporary, or long-term accommodation.

In order to support the achievement of these aims, the outreach psychotherapist will be responsible for:

Manage a caseload of 12 clients per week, attend MDTs, attend team meetings, attend any mandatory multidisciplinary meetings. The candidate will be expected to attend CPD, which will be organised by the candidate themselves, while Providence Row offers a generous budget of £1500 per annum.

The candidate will also be expected to contribute towards the smooth running of the service and willing to help and participate with any current services needs.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders to build strong partnerships, whilst contributing strategically to the growth of the charity's fundraising efforts.
