Letchworth Foodbank is seeking an exceptional part-time Charity Manager to lead our organisation.   Our mission is the prevention or relief of poverty in our area by serving the needy in Letchworth, Hitchin and Baldock.  Receiving donations and grants of over £200,000 per annum, the Foodbank distributes over 40 tonnes of food and £50,000 of food vouchers every year to those that need it most.

As an organisation relying entirely on grants and donations, we face challenging hurdles to maintain and grow our income base in order to meet the increasingly complex needs of our clients.  Our strategy is not to stand still but to increase our reach and impact and we require a Charity Manager that shares our ambitions and has the capability to drive our strategy forwards.

We are a volunteer-based organisation with over 75 active volunteers supporting the breadth of operations from warehousing to client facing distribution centres.  We also work closely with local social care institutions and authorities on both funding for the Foodbank and ensuring our support for the needy helps them get back on their feet on a sustainable basis.  The Charity Manager will lead our volunteer team as well as engaging with the institutions and authorities that we work with to achieve our mission and implement our strategy.

The Charity Manager will be a leader driven by our mission, with empathy for our clients and the volunteers they will lead and possessing the skills to deliver our strategy with the support of the organisations and institutions we work with.

Summary

The Secretariat team supports the Chief Executive and Estates Commissioners in their leadership and the conduct of the Church Commissioners' business. The Senior EA provides comprehensive and wide-ranging executive assistance and research/ policy support to the Chief Executive and First Church Estates Commissioner in all aspects of their work, as well as acting as an interface between the and the wider Church/ public. This makes it an important role in respect of the Church Commissioners' efficiency and their relationship with, and accountability to, stakeholders.

You will be directly accountable to the Head of Governance and have frequent collaboration with the Chief Executive, First Church Estates Commissioner, the Deputy Chair and other trustees. There will also be regular collaboration with staff at all levels in the Church Commissioners and, at times, other NCIs, including Chief Officers of the other National Church Institutions and their teams.

• Provide full Executive Assistant support to the CEO (responsible for the overall management of the organisation and its c.150 staff), and the First Church Estates Commissioner (a Governor who chairs the committee responsible for the £10+bn investment fund).
• Interpret and summarise documents.
• Deal sensitively and intelligently with enquiries and re-routing to other departments/staff as necessary.

We are seeking someone to join our team as Librarian. Trinity College Bristol is a vibrant community of around 60 undergraduate and taught postgraduate students, many training for ordination in the Church of England. The College is made up of both residential and context-based learners, both full- and part-time, as well as a lively cohort of a further 60 postgraduate research students.

In this part-time role you would be responsible for organising and maintaining the library at Trinity College and for ensuring it is suitably equipped and resourced to support the academic work of the college. The role involves assisting library users in induction and access to the library collection. The library consists of about 55,000 volumes, plus an extensive digital collection.

About this exciting opportunity

As a Women’s Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users, who will be female adults aged 18 years and above on remand and unsentenced within Cambridgeshire.  This role will involve completing trauma-informed assessments and developing, in collaboration with each service user, action plans which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

We will also rely on you to create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users and to deliver a range of interventions which contribute towards achieving pre-determined targets.  Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales are both essential aspects of the role, as is providing updates and reports, where required, using a range of formats.

What we are looking for

• Proven ability and experience as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma-responsive interventions that support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system, whether in the community or in prisons.
• Experience of working with young adults and supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, for example, people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused. Experience in delivery of 1:1 and group coaching solutions, including preparation and delivery of skills and learning.
• Experience in working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project.

The role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this second-lead senior management role supports the CEO in delivering the organisations business strategy. As the statutory service lead for Greenwich Carers Centre, the role is responsible for ensuring the contract compliant delivery of a small portfolio of non-regulated local authority funded services that provide front line support to carers within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The role deputises for the Chief Executive and leads a dedicated staff team actively providing essential emotional and practical support to carers across the borough. As the second most senior post in the organisation, the role engages with stakeholders and influences, shapes and informs across most aspects of the charity’s day-to-day operations. By working with the CEO and external fundraising colleagues the role helps to shape the charity by informing the development of grant funded programmes that; provide specialist support to carers, add value to our statutory services, and extend our charity by building upon a consistent level of notable business achievement.

Statutory Services Lead

To manage a small portfolio of Greenwich-based statutory carer support contracts Greenwich Carers Centre do not provide CGC regulated services. We currently hold three statutory service contracts, highest value service = 400k per annum.

To ensure quality and manage the delivery of services in relation to contract

To ensure services are

·To ensure Charity Log and KPI service monitoring systems are maintained and updated

To report quarterly on service performance via written local authority report, board paper submission and whole-team Quarterly Review Meetings

To assist in the occasional development of local authority tenders and lead on service set-up in response to contract award

To ensure support staff are compliance trained, supported, monitored and supervised

To act as the organisational lead for reporting Safeguarding concerns

Deputising for the Chief Executive

To act as lead manager when the Chief Executive away from the centre, on leave, or otherwise absent.

 To be the lead contact for staff, volunteers and customers

·To deal with and manage arising situations at the centre

·To assist with facility management and operational tasks as appropriate.

·To carry out tasks as requested by the Chief Executive

To ensure the charity has adequate staff cover for planned activities.

Strategic planning and new business

·To support the CEO with business strategy planning

·To work with an external fundraising teams to inform the development of funding bids.  

·To contribute to the financial wellbeing of the organisation by supporting income generating activities

 Partnerships and networking

To represent the organisation by participating in Local Authority and Voluntary Sector Forums, Steering Groups and Consultation activities

To work with voluntary sector partners to extend the reach of our services, collaborate on service delivery and provide new opportunities for our customers

· To negotiate and draft partnership agreements for collaborative working

Involvement and engagement

To ensure carers inform continuous service improvement through the feedback and evaluation of services

To support co-production through carer engagement

To support the set-up of a Carers Committee to inform and shape the operational environment of Greenwich Carers Centre. Once established, to be the senior management contact for the committee.

·To annually review the organisations carer engagement strategies and ensure output requirements are built into project and service delivery.

Marketing and communications

To be an advocate for local carers, speaking locally and regionally on their behalf via a national carers network, and, on occasion by engaging with local media 

To support and inform the development of marketing materials

To represent the organisation when dealing with stakeholders, voluntary sector partners and the wider community

To regularly attend meetings of the Carer Partnership Board as representative of Greenwich Carers Centre To support the charity’s community engagement activities

General

To act in an appropriate manner at all time

To support the Centre Manager and Projects Lead and assist in the day to day running of Greenwich Carers Centre

To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the CEO or Board of Trustees

What will you be doing?

• Leading the Challenging Lives programme strategy - Identifying and managing partnership opportunities to drive charitable impact and trading revenue as well as championing and broadening the impact of YHAs Breaks programme, and developing partnerships and programmes with synergistic organisation.
• You'll build effective relationships, identifying and managing relationships with key charity partners as well as conducting periodical reviews of processes and best practise, setting mutually agreed targets.
• Delivering YHA’s Breaks programme, building relationships with beneficiary organisations, co-designing programmes with them to meet the needs of young people. You will also attend and present the Breaks programme at supporter engagement events as and when required.
• Ensuring all programmes and activities are suitable and impactful for beneficiaries and that due diligence is applied.
• You will build and identify relationships with organisations and businesses to further YHA’s charitable trading interests for example home education network groups, uniformed groups and non-education youth groups.
• Coordinating and facilitating summer camps programmes with the Army, Navy, RAF, and agree activities and ensure special requirements are adhered to and communicated with internal teams providing a full debrief post-delivery.
• Ensuring engagement and buying from key internal stakeholders through robust internal communication processes.
• You'll lead the programme process, coordinating the capture of impact and providing evidence of the Breaks programme to the fundraising team to enable them to report funders. You'll also manage the Breaks programme application process and coordinate the decision panel, keep the Breaks P&L up to date with spend allocation in accordance with the funders wish and or restrictions, managing the customer journey for all Breaks customers and provide accurate content to ensure that the website and all publications are kept up to date and engaging.

What Skills and Experience do you need?

We are looking for candidates with the following qualities:

• Experience of developing partnerships and commercial relationships, ideally at a national level
• Excellent communication skills with ability to build strong internal relationships with key internal stakeholders and experience of influencing at Senior and Executive management level
• Broad knowledge and understanding of YHA’s customer base, education & youth programmes / and wider charity sector
• Excellent organisational skills involving planning, prioritising and proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously, bringing each to completion on time
• Experience of developing and monitoring budgets and KPIs.
• Experience of report writing for varied stakeholders requiring differing levels of detail and summary
• Knowledge and understanding of child safeguarding 
• Ability to work flexibly, including travel throughout England and Wales with occasional evening and weekend working and regular overnight stays  to meet the needs of the business

What you’ll do

As Assistant Head of Fundraising (DISE), you will provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team, overseeing Database Management, Analysis and Insight, and ensuring excellent Supporter Experience, you will develop and implement team strategies that align with the charity’s fundraising and supporter engagement goals, ensuring collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Overseeing the Raiser’s Edge NXT platform, you will ensure data accuracy, compliance with UKGDPR and PECR regulations, and integration with third-party platforms. You will optimise database processes, including income reconciliation, Gift Aid processing, and supporter segmentation, ensuring the efficient extraction of appeal and marketing data.

With a focus on data analytics, you will oversee the development of dashboards, KPI reports, and predictive models to drive decision-making. Your insights will support fundraising strategy, campaign performance analysis, and the adoption of data-driven approaches across the organisation.

Additionally, you will manage supplier relationships, ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, and develop risk management policies, collaborating closely with internal teams to support operational excellence.

Job Summary

Taking a leading role as part of the Individual Giving management team, you play an important part in helping to achieve a step change in the growth of the net voluntary income of St John. The role will work closely across Individual Giving and the wider Fundraising Directorate to develop an evolving supporter acquisition strategy that will aim to recruit new supporters with a focus on digital. The role needs to focus on managing the implementation of the strategy including using insight and data to develop, implement, manage, monitor and evaluate campaigns across a range of channels, with a cutting edge and contemporary approach whilst staying current with the continuously changing legislation and support climate. Responsibilities include working with agencies and suppliers to project manage the full cycle of direct marketing campaigns.

About You

• Significant experience in a third sector direct marketing role
• Track record in managing effective digital campaigns on a national or regional basis
• Experience of using fundraising databases e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Dynamics or similar
• Extensive experience of using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email social media, direct mail, telemarketing and SMS
• Experience of leading a revenue generating team, including generation of six figure acquisition income 

About the Role

• Oversee the supporter acquisition programme, taking responsibility for outstanding donor recruitment with the highest standard of quality and compliance and ensuring a diverse programme mix; ensuring they are in market on time, on budget and on brand.
• Develop an annual plan of acquisition activity; monitoring and analysing all campaign results, with ongoing test and learn mechanisms in place to drive continuous improvement and making recommendations for future activity to effectively maximise income and ROI
• Working collaboratively with key fundraising and data teams; lead the development and continuous improvement of new supporter product development
• Strong agency relationship management across a variety of partners and suppliers, from building relationships and negotiating to contract and routine performance reviews
• Lead on all KPI tracking, trend analysis and interrogation of results at all levels; including programme optimisation to ensure targets are met and contingency planning as required.
• Work closely with key colleagues across individual giving and in other directorates to ensure they are involved in relevant aspects of acquisition activity
