These are newly created administrative roles to increase capacity in Londonwide LMCs, the membership organisation representing approximately 7,000 NHS General Practitioners in nearly 1,100 practice teams in London, providing pan-London leadership and shared committee services for its members. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Primary Care team which supports committee effectiveness and ensures representation within Local Medical Committees within London. You will report to the Director of Primary Care, working across local committees within the Primary Care team.

The focus of this role is to provide administrative support to Local Medical Committees, enabling the smooth running of Committee meetings. It would be helpful if candidates have a contextual understanding of the health environment or other public-sector environments that we work in, along with excellent administration and note-taking skills. We would like to hear from candidates who have experience of:

• Owning the administrative tasks required to ensure Committee meetings have professional and timely agendas, papers and minutes/action records.
• Attending Committee meetings to support the facilitation of the meetings and ensuring accurate record keeping of meeting content.
• Working flexibly to provide cover across teams and for other Committee Administrators across Londonwide as required.

The salary for the role will be £30,000 pa plus membership of the group personal pension scheme with a 16% employer pension contribution (£4,800, making total remuneration £34,800). The Bone Cancer Research Trust strives to provide a supportive network for all PBC patients to limit their feelings of isolation and anxiety. Given the rarity of the disease, many patients have never heard of it before they are diagnosed, and therefore access to reliable information is hugely important. The Bone Cancer Research Trust are the only charity to provide detailed information on all types of primary bone cancers and tumours. Our information has also won a British Medical Association award. 

The Health Information and Content Manager will be responsible for the charity’s information provision, ensuring it is relevant, evidence based, accessible and meets the needs of everyone affected by primary bone cancer.  Leading on both the maintenance of the formal production process and the development of new resources across different formats, including video and webinar content.

The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to service users and staff in drug and alcohol, hostel and homeless services, increasing hepatitis C awareness, access to testing and referral to treatment, for people living with hepatitis C.

Data Analyst – Clinical Audits (x2)

The Data Analyst (Audits) will manage the secure handling of complex audit datasets and the analysis of data with a primary focus on an audit programme. You will work with the project team, including the audit clinical lead and senior data analyst, and take responsibility for presenting findings of the data analysis to experts. The College currently has two Data Analyst opportunities available: Epilepsy12 and the National Paediatric Diabetes Audit.

Reporting to the Project Manager (Audits), you will create analysis plans and report structures in line with the agreed datasets, working closely with the project clinical leads, managers and data platform suppliers, and take the lead in the planning of analytical processes for planned data analysis projects.

As a member of the Audits Team within the Research and Quality Improvement Division, you will establish and maintain robust data management and manipulation processes in line with data governance and protection requirements, whilst acting as the point of contact for audit data, technical and analysis enquiries from those submitting data for analysis.

Degree qualified in a social or medical science, statistics or other numerate discipline, you will be able to quickly establish and maintain good working relationships with health professionals and other key stakeholders.

With experience of producing and presenting high quality written reports, documentation and promotional information suitable for a range of audiences, you will have a background of working with Stata or R and Microsoft Excel for aggregating, recoding and merging data, computing new variables, and producing descriptive statistics.

You should also be able to contribute to key components of departmental and project reports, including interpreting the data analysis and writing editorial content. 

A high level of numeracy and the ability to handle and interrogate large, complex datasets in Excel and statistical packages along with knowledge of statistical methods of analysis and data cleaning, processing and management are essential.

Experience of preparing data for presentation to healthcare commissioners and regulators at various levels of granularity of NHS organisations would be desirable.

We are the only UK-wide charity for all those affected by a genetic bleeding disorder; a community of individuals and families, healthcare professionals and supporters.  For 70 years we have campaigned for better treatment, been a source of information and advice, and supported people living with long-term conditions.

• Providing support at all life stages
• Influencing and advocating on policy and access to treatment

More than 36,000 men, women and children in the UK have a diagnosed bleeding disorder, and the number rises every year. Membership of The Haemophilia Society is free and open to all.

The role

• To provide administrative support to the CEO and Office Manager in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions, to ensure income and outgoings are timely and accurately recorded.

Main responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely processing of Invoices on Xero
• Obtaining authorisation of the budget holder for the expenditure 
• Preparing Income batches on Access CRM
• Creating new records on Access CRM
• Managing petty cash transactions
• Processing credit card income 
• Processing credit card expenditure
• Issue invoices to customers based on services rendered and/or goods sold 
• Review and process employee expenses  
• Making bank deposits and keep up records 
• Tracking expenses as they relate to specific projects  
• Validating invoices against items or services received 
• Checking all financial transactions for accuracy 
• Answering calls 
• Provide additional support as required
• Helping with Annual Audit
• Fielding all finance enquiries both internal and external
• Creating DD instructions
• Reconciling account software with the bank account.

Requirements:

• To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have at least some previous experience in a similar role.
• You’ll have an analytical and methodical approach, maintaining the highest levels of accuracy - attention to detail is crucial
• You’ll also have good working knowledge of Office 365, Excel, Xero and Access CRM, or a similar database system.

General:

• Be an effective member of the team, recognising, respecting and promoting the different roles and diversity of the individuals in the team and presenting a positive impression of the team and the organisation.
• Undertake any other tasks that may be requested.
• Be prepared to travel throughout the UK and to work varying hours including evenings and weekends as required. This post is subject to advanced DBS clearance and appropriate references.
