As the Poppy Appeal Manager in South East London, your main role is to achieve income, expenditure, and contribution targets, ensuring the success of the appeal. Collaborating with the Regional Poppy Appeal Manager, you will create and manage an income and expenditure budget, providing monthly commentary. Your responsibilities include to coordinating local supporters, partners, and volunteers, building relationships to maximise fundraising potential.

Planning and coordinating the Poppy Appeal launch, including PR and media activities, contribute to the appeal's overall impact.

Your role also involves representing Royal British Legion locally, engaging in outreach activities, and providing updates to key stakeholders. Flexibility is essential, as some evenings, weekends, and overnight stays may be required. The successful candidate will embody the values of the Royal British Legion, demonstrating empathy with its mission and objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess commercial knowledge, financial management skills, and experience in supporter relationship management. Strong planning, organizational, and IT skills are necessary, as is the ability to assess the commercial implications of decisions. About the Charity

The Environment Investigation Agency investigate and campaign against environmental crime and abuse. Their undercover investigations expose transnational wildlife crime, with a focus on elephants and tigers, and forest crimes such as illegal logging and deforestation for cash crops like palm oil. About the Role

This is an exciting time to join EIA as the fundraising team grows. As the Philanthropy Manager, you will lead on the development and delivery of a new philanthropy programme, which includes developing tailored stewardship programmes for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs), expanding the donor base through effective prospecting and cultivation, and working with campaign teams to develop donor funding propositions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Head of Fundraising to shape and grow this integral income stream, drawing on your robust philanthropy fundraising experience and applying your dynamic approach to engage prospective partners and develop existing relationships.

• Organisational development and management:

The Migraine Trust is the only UK migraine charity providing information and support, campaigning for awareness and change, and funding and promoting research, and has been leading and bringing the migraine community together since 1965. One in seven people in the UK live with migraine. This complex and debilitating neurological disorder can significantly affect many aspects of life including work, school, personal relationships, and feelings of isolation.

Every year over two million people visit The Migraine Trust website for the most up to date information, and thousands contact the helplines for information and support on all aspects of migraine. The Migraine Trust campaign for increased awareness and understanding of migraine, better access to treatment, and national policy change to improve the lives of people who get it.

The Information Manager will coordinate and develop a range of health information needed by the migraine community and people living with migraine to raise awareness to both members of the public and health care professionals. The role is also responsible for ensuring the information on the website is up to date and coordinating and managing Patient Information Forum renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain quality health information: You will manage and update health information, scope, plan, and create new content in consultation with stakeholders, and identify target groups to produce materials to meet their needs. You will work within the Information and Support team constantly communicating with colleagues working on front line services to ensure the information being produced is in line with service users needs. You will also be responsible for managing the organisations PIF processes and assessments.
• Engage with the migraine community: You will hold focus groups to understand information needs, build strategic partnerships to disseminate information effectively, and support staff learning and knowledge-building about migraine.
• Support communication and dissemination: You will work with the Communications team to create accessible information formats, provide content for videos, blogs, and other communication channels and regularly monitor and report on the impact of information provision.
• Research: You will act as the key point of communication for the research committee, manage administrative duties for research funding applications and grants, and coordinate research meetings and liaise with funded researchers for project updates.
• Represent and support the charity: You will represent The Migraine Trust at external events and build relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

The Information Manager will have solid experience of communicating complex health information to audiences in written and online formats, as well as proven experience of producing information from the research stage through to writing, external review and liaising with designers. The successful candidate will have the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of medical and health related information, including research and critical analysis skills to develop an evidence base. You will have experience working within a health communication environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail with demonstrable editing and proofreading skills. You will have the ability to liaise with key stakeholders, be a self-starter with an ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will have knowledge and understanding of the benefits of patient engagement to produce health information.

The role is home-based with meetings in London once every 3 months which will include overnight stays and some ad hoc national travel. All travel/overnight expenses are covered. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for meeting income targets through a range of income streams including, community/events fundraising, grants/trusts and developing other key income streams such as major donors, regular giving, and gift in wills. A further key part of the role will be to recruit volunteers to build capacity within the fundraising team, typically recruiting volunteers to support with challenge and fundraising events.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Providing insight in to the development of the fundraising and volunteering strategy and delivering on the strategy targets.
• Leading on the recruitment of volunteers with a focus on volunteers for fundraising and youth engagement
• Managing, supporting, and developing imaginative fundraising activities, some of which will be event based.
• Working closely with the Head of Supporter Services with the development of the supporter and corporate income streams, regular giving programme, a gifts-in-wills plan and contribute to bid writing for grant/trust applications.
• Inspiring new supporters to raise income, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters.

This would be a wonderful opportunity for a fundraiser with experience across two or more income streams and a good understanding of volunteers.

About the role

As Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a key role in managing everyday operations to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will be involved in volunteer recruitment and management as well as processing donations, engaging with the community, and delivering the highest standard of customer service through your team. You will work towards ambitious targets, including leading on creative initiatives to drive sales and community engagement maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference and deliver positive social impact in the local community while also raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness.

This is a permanent role. You will be primarily based in one shop within London Zones 1-2; location will be agreed at the time of a job offer. You may also be required to travel to other shops within London on a short-term basis.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have retail experience at a supervisory level alongside a genuine interest in charity retail. You will be seeking a challenge that stands out from other retail roles and will be keen to build your people management skills including working with Crisis members. About the role

As a Peer Support Worker, you will use your skills and experience to work directly with people with mental health issues in group and one-to-one settings. You will work with the Wellbeing Assessors and Team Leads to provide Wellbeing support to patients within their particular Primary Care Network (PCN). This part of the Solent Mind Wellbeing Service provides one-to-one wellbeing support within the GP practices, working alongside the wider Primary Mental Health & Wellbeing service.

In this part-time role, you will work 22.5 hours per week and will be based in GP surgeries within Eastleigh Southern Parishes PCN.

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will need to have personal, lived experience of a mental health issue, as well as experience of working with people with mental health needs, excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the key difficulties and challenges faced by people on their recovery journey.

The Role
