Since 2004, Village Water has been dedicated to transforming lives in Africa by providing vital support in hygiene promotion, sanitation facilities, and safe water (WASH) in rural communities of Zambia and Mozambique.

Key information:  

Location: Remote working. (UK only) Must be able to attend a minimum of 5 mandatory meetings per year (includes overnight stay for 2-day meetings) at our office in Shrewsbury and occasional meetings elsewhere. 
Contract: Permanent. Full time 37.5 hours a week.  

Salary: Between £30,000 – £35,000 a year depending on experience.

Job Purpose  

To maximise income for Village Water’s work from corporates (UK and International) & to develop and manage your own portfolio of existing corporates and research and prioritise new opportunities ensuring high quality stewardship to secure ongoing support. This role will focus on networking, delivering compelling pitches to corporates, organise and support corporate fundraising events, preparing high-quality funding applications and reports, providing exceptional account management, and fostering cross-team collaboration. 

Responsibilities  

Corporate Fundraising 

• Develop, implement, and sustain a dynamic corporate fundraising portfolio, maintaining a well-organised pipeline of funding opportunities. 

• Attend and contribute to networking events, while actively organising events to foster relationships with new and existing corporate donors. 

• Identify and pursue corporate funding opportunities by aligning proposals with companies' ESG policies, emphasising shared values and potential partnerships. 

• Establish and nurture relationships with Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) to unlock new support avenues. 

• Work closely with colleagues to develop compelling proposals and reports that effectively communicate the organisation's impact and funding needs. 

• Coordinate with monitoring and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, adhering to grant conditions and budget requirements. 

• Maintain precise and well-managed donor information in the organisation’s database to facilitate efficient tracking and follow-up. 

• Organise pop-up events for and with corporate partners to enhance engagement and visibility. 

• Support fundraising team with social media content ideas that highlight our activities and showcases the impact. 

General   

• Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, external suppliers, and local partners to advance organisational goals. 

• Participate in and report during weekly team meetings and, when necessary, at Trustee meetings. 

• Provide assistance for other fundraising initiatives as needed, promoting a collaborative work environment and supporting the overall fundraising efforts of the organisation.

Skills and experience: 

• Demonstrated ability to secure funds from new corporate partners, with experience in winning awards exceeding £10,000. 

• Confident and skilled in delivering presentations to a diverse range of supporters, whether in groups, individually, in person, or remotely. 

• Proven experience in crafting persuasive cases for support and donor updates that motivate giving. 

• Expertise in building and maintaining strong donor relationships to ensure sustained support. 

• Strong writing skills for creating compelling cases for support and effectively presenting the organisation’s work to potential donors. 

• Ability to develop, analyse, and interpret budgets and financial information. 

• Proficient in using databases for fundraising performance analysis.

As part of its strategy, The Trust has ambitious plans to grow its access to the workplace programmes at both pre and post 18 age groups, in new and innovative ways. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Programmes Senior Officer to join our team and support the expansion of the Sutton Trust programmes.

The successful candidate will deliver the existing Careers Plus programme and will be responsible for s setting up two new industry strands in Tech and Consulting. They will also be responsible for the employer engagement of its Pathways to Engineering programme. They will join a small team and will play an important role in contributing to the on-going success of our programme work and industry engagement strategy.

The Senior Officer will work closely with the Programmes and Development teams to develop and deliver impactful programmes across a range of sectors. This is an extremely exciting time to be at the Trust and the role will require individuals to be creative and to think strategically about our approach.

This role will fit into a team of nine, led by the Head of Employability, and will be line managed by the Senior Employer Engagement Manager.

Main duties

• Plan and implement delivery for the three Careers Plus programmes, including skills sessions, work experience and mentoring across a range of sectors (Tech, Consulting and Law)
• Liaise with external delivery organisations to ensure the sessions and content of the programme meets its intended aims
• Recruit and manage a cohort of Careers Plus students (three strands, 30-60 students per strand), leading on communication to drive engagement and attendance across programme activities
• Evaluate the programme activities and delivery model to enable future programme development
• Supporting the effective delivery of high-quality in-person and virtual work experience and employer engagement as part of the Trust’s Pathways to Engineering and Access Apprenticeships in Engineering programmes.
• Liaising with a range of stakeholders such as employers, universities, and Sutton Trust colleagues to match students with relevant employer engagement activities.
• Following up with students in the case of any unexpected absence or non-attendance at work experience placements.
• Working with employer partners to promote volunteering opportunities at Engineering Pathways and Apprenticeship events in person and online.
• Working closely with the Senior Employer Engagement Manager and the Development team to manage and steward a range of placement providers and funders.
• Working with the Development team, manage the evaluation and reporting of programme activities including reporting/presenting to funders
• Other duties as necessary from time to time

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:

• Leading projects, including planning, administration and delivery;
• Delivering young person facing interventions, ideally with experience of digital delivery
• Facilitation of sessions with young people in person or online
• Building and maintaining relationships diverse stakeholder groups young people, universities and employers
• Monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and administration
• Using data to design and deliver programmes
• Using a CRM (ideally Salesforce)
• Working within or an understanding of the not for profit sector

Terms of Appointment

• Contract: Full-time, 1-year fixed term contract
• Salary: £34,000-£36,000

About the role

As Senior Programme Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape our work nationally as well as lead our programmes in the North West of England, enabling us to grow our reach, deepen our impact and ultimately deliver our mission. The Vacancy

The Programme Development Manager is committed to supporting colleagues and partners in programme design and development. The team also connects programmatic issues and global policy and advocacy to ensure they are complementary and conducive to external change based on evidence from the ground.

Saferworld’s income is secured primarily from statutory and institutional donors; however, securing funding to support our partners in conflict-affected countries and allow for more flexible programming increasingly requires a more diverse funding base. The Programme Development Manager will support efforts to identify and secure funds from statutory donors, trusts and foundations, and other non-traditional funding mechanisms.

The Programme Development Manager will support a portfolio of Saferworld’s teams in designing and mobilising funding for peace, security and justice programmes. The successful applicant will have a focus of approximately 4 countries, which will be decided based on the candidate’s experience and preference. Working closely with Country Managers/Directors, and programme and grant management colleagues, the post-holder will lead on: coordinating and facilitating programme development processes (including taking the lead in drafting high quality concept notes and proposals, theories of change, logical models, risk matrixes and budgets); developing and supporting the implementation of long-term country funding strategies and donor engagement strategies; and supporting new donor engagement and sustaining relationships with current donors. The post-holder will be responsible for growing institutional funding portfolios in our programmes.

The post-holder will have a successful track record in developing programmes and leading new business development efforts with institutional donors such as the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), United States Government (USG)/United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the European Union (EU), UN agencies and European Governments such as Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Additional experience in mobilising resource from trusts and foundations and other non-traditional funding mechanisms is desirable.

They will have proven skills and experience in programme management and support, successful programme design processes and bid leadership.

We are excited to be advertising the role of Psychotherapy Service Manager at Respond, to lead our team and the development of our psychotherapy services with autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have experienced trauma and their families.  Many of our clients may have experienced complex or multiple traumatic experiences including sexual violence, domestic abuse and neglect.

The Psychotherapy Service provides predominantly longer-term therapeutic support of a year or more, depending on how the work is funded, to an average of 130 unique individuals per year.  The current team of 10 are made up of 4 senior therapists (reporting to the postholder), 4 therapists and 2 honoraries in training, the majority of whom are Arts therapists and work within a psychodynamic and/or systemic model.

We welcome applications from experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapists, Arts therapists, Psychologists or Family Therapists who are passionate about our work. You will work psychodynamically, champion our trauma informed approach including our reflective practice model and have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of the psychotherapy service.  Leading the small team, you will provide clinical leadership and be Safeguarding lead, ensuring we continue to provide high quality psychotherapy services.  We are offering the role at 4-5 days per week, working in a hybrid manner flexibly. You can also hold your own small case load of clients, supervisees and/or consultancy work within the role.

This is a unique and specialist role and we recognise that you may have more experience in one clinical area or client group than another, given the breadth of our work and whilst you may be experienced in working psychodynamically as a therapist and as a line manager, you may be newer to leading a service for example. Or you may have a great deal of other experience and understanding of the needs of our clients from other work.  We are flexible to develop the right candidate who is passionate about improving the lives of autistic people, people with learning disabilities and their family members.

This is a really exciting time to join the gambling support sector, we are at the forefront of providing new and innovative services, supporting gamblers, affected others and organisations in different communities and sectors.

We are seeking one candidate, who has proven experience of delivering support and training services for vulnerable adults, such as in the mental health or addiction sectors. Experience either serving in the military or working with Veterans is important for this role. The Armed Forces Peer Aid Co-ordinator will supervise and work with voluntary Peer Supporters, ensuring a safe and effective network of support is established.

The post holder will work alongside the Head of Peer Support services to oversee recruitment and training of Peer Supporters, assess for additional support needs and personal development goals, and ensure that they are adequately prepared and trained for the role. Thereafter, the Peer Aid Co-ordinator will manage cohorts of Peer Supporters and monitor and evaluate their engagement with referred service users. This will include helping to provide additional services, such as group meetings and meet ups.

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will focus on increasing donations from individual supporters. Working closely with the Head of Development and CEO, you'll be responsible for growing donation schemes for individual supporters, stewarding major donors, delivering public fundraising appeals and promoting opportunities for supporters to make gifts in wills.

Background to School Food Matters

School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.

Young Marketeers

This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 12 cities across England and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for three years.  The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives.  Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall.  Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. And in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the mayor!

Key Tasks include:

· Recruit four schools to take part in Young Marketeers

· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project

· Build and support relationships with contacts in partner organisations

o One assembly in each school

o Two food growing sessions in each school

o One market trader training session in each school

o Market Day in the city centre in July for four schools

As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Crouch End Branch, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits.
