The NGSN Communications and Partnerships Manager role is crucial to the successful coordination and delivery of the communications for GambleAware and the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN). The role will sit within the GambleAware communications team and will work in collaboration with the System’s Commissioning team, focused on building relationships with the National Gambling Support Network providers and act as an interface between the providers and GambleAware Communications team.
The Partnerships Manager will:
- be the main point of contact for the NGSN providers on the day-to-day development and delivery of communications
- be responsible for understanding the communications needs across the NGSN, working alongside the wider Communications team to address these needs, developing and delivering against a communications plan
- encourage the uptake of communications assets and materials across the wider partnership network.
- be responsible for upskilling providers in partnership activity and take a collaborative approach to working with those across the Network.
We're looking for an experienced and skilled individual who has a track record of delivering in partnership with a range of stakeholders. Who is confident in delivering communications across multiple channels in different styles and to a range of audiences. Someone who knows, from experience what it's like managing in-kind partnerships and who can show that they can build, manage and facilitate new relationships.

Role description
Results UK has a long and successful history of engaging with UK parliamentarians around international development issues and providing them with the briefings and questions they need to raise these issues in parliament. As the Parliamentary Advocacy Officer for Child Health, you will lead our parliamentary work on global child health issues (routine immunisation and polio eradication in particular) in line with our new strategy and commitment to equity. You will have a good understanding of how the UK Parliament works and how to engage parliamentarians in our issues.
You will lead relationships with UK parliamentarians around child health, including providing the Secretariat for the APPG Vaccinations for All.
Key responsibilities
Parliamentary advocacy

Working with the Head of Parliamentary Advocacy and others in the organisation to develop and implement a high impact and politically astute advocacy strategy for child health.

Alongside the specific global education strategy, contribute to the development of Results’ overarching parliamentary advocacy strategy, working closely with the Head of Parliamentary Advocacy and other members of the team.

Lead on the parliamentary work on child health for ResultsS UK, by building and strengthening relationships with MPs and Peers that result in their championing the end of poverty, specifically on child health, and building support for child health and vaccination interventions.

Provide the secretariat function to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) Child Health. The APPG secretariat/coordinator function includes guiding the Group’s work programme and activities, arranging meetings and events, corresponding with the APPG Officers and Members, briefing MPs and Peers to ask questions or speak in parliamentary debates and representing the Group externally, for example with the FCDO, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, UNICEF and others.

Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of Parliamentary Delegations to other countries and advocacy tours to the UK, working with the relevant Policy Advocacy Officer and others in the Parliamentary Team.

Work closely with the Grassroots Advocacy Team to ensure parliamentary and grassroots campaigning activity is coordinated and the greatest impact is achieved between the relationships our grassroots campaigners build with their local MPs, and the work led from the office to support MPs in Parliament.

Ensure our parliamentary advocacy and relationships always remain non-partisan and cross-party, in line with our charitable aims and objectives.
Partners and coalitions

Liaise with other global Results organisations, the ACTION Global Health Advocacy Partnership Secretariat and other ACTION partners to coordinate our parliamentary advocacy at a global level.

Work closely with civil society and other partner organisations and allies in the UK to coordinate parliamentary advocacy in the UK.

Represent Results UK in global coalitions and consortia relevant to your lead issue area, such as the UK Gavi CSO Working Group, the Polio Resource Mobilisation Group and others as agreed with the Head of Parliamentary Advocacy.

Identify and develop new partnerships in line with our new strategy and the focus on equity.
Communications and media

Where capacity allows, identify media opportunities and support media activity (including traditional and social media) related to child health and vaccinations.

Contribute content to Results UK’s website, blog and social media to help achieve our organisational objectives and strengthen our brand presence.

Publicise the APPG's activities, primarily through its website and twitter account.

Represent Results at external meetings and events in relation to child health advocacy.

Person specification
This role is ideal for someone with public affairs or political advocacy experience, preferably in the UK, who understands the way that political decisions impact global poverty and wants to influence these decisions. A strong understanding of and passion for global health issues, particularly child health and the importance of vaccinations. Equally important is a proven ability to quickly gain an understanding of a complex new area and translate it into succinct, clear, achievable recommendations.
This post will provide excellent opportunities for leading parliamentary advocacy to deliver real change in funding and policy outcomes on child health and other issues; for building and deploying a strong understanding of key international development issues; and experience of working directly with UK parliamentarians and other actors across the international development sector.
Essential criteria

At least one year of experience in a substantial parliamentary or public affairs role with demonstrable success in managing relationships with parliamentarians from different parties.

the3million is looking for a new Community Organiser to help us build the power of EU citizens in the UK and of their non-EU family members, working alongside two other Organisers in our team and the members of our EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network
Since Brexit, EU citizens in the UK and their family members have been brought under the Hostile Environment. the3million has been providing information to EU citizens and has continuously advocated for a fairer immigration system, especially in making the EU Settlement Scheme more accessible to all.
We provide a platform for EU citizens to become politically active and use their voices to advocate for themselves. The Community Organiser will be part of a team to create opportunities for EU citizens to have increased capacity to engage in activism and lead the change they want to see in the UK, their home.
This role is at an officer level and suitable for people who are looking for their first paid role in Organising, but have had some grassroots experience, even if on an informal or voluntary basis. You can expect to be mentored by an experienced Community Organiser and thereby learn a lot while on the job. More experienced candidates are also welcome to apply.We are currently in the process of applying for funding to extend this role. If we are successful, the contract will be extended by 2 years and we will work with the successful Organiser on a progression route, reviewing the job holder’s salary level after they have been in the role for 6 months.

We are the leading organisation representing EU citizens and their non-EU family members in the UK. Our vision is a world where our communities can thrive, reach their potential and have an equal voice in UK society.
Our work ranges from monitoring the implementation of the UK-EU Withdrawal Agreement, advocating for the integration of EU citizens throughout all sections of society, informing people of their rights, promoting access to justice, and giving EU citizens a voice in British society to change the narrative on migration as a whole.
We are a grassroots and non-partisan organisation, working with a variety of stakeholders, from MPs to NGOs, legal advisors, the media and community leaders across civic society on specific issues affecting migrants’ rights. **Duties and responsibilities **
1. Co-lead the3million’s “EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network”

Working with the Community Organiser - Campaigns to recruit more members of the EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network by regularly reaching out to relevant communities and booking 1-1 meetings with key community leaders;

Working with the Community Organiser - Campaigns to support and guide our existing Network members made up of over 40 community leaders who have a variety of backgrounds and levels of experience in campaigning, developing their confidence and ability to become effective change-makers and encouraging them to take coordinated, strategic actions to advance our campaigns;

Co-facilitate monthly Network meetings: setting agendas, facilitating Breakout rooms, taking minutes and following up with Network members on their agreed actions;

Support the3million’s campaigns by supporting our Head of Policy and Advocacy on our MP-facing work in Parliament and our Communications Manager to ensure that our campaigns are featured on our social media, newsletters and clearly communicated to key stakeholders such as partner organisations in the migration sector and to key community leaders on the ground
2. Relationship-building and in-person workshops

Rolling out a series of “listening sessions” and “Know Your Rights” workshops with community groups across the country: liaising with relevant community leaders to visit them and their communities, this may include working on Saturdays (and taking time off in lieu during the week) and running in-person sessions. You will receive guidance on the format from the Community Organiser - Campaigns but will be the main person delivering such sessions on the ground.
3. Professional learning and development
- Taking a proactive approach to your learning and development towards becoming a confident and versatile Community Organiser and Campaigns specialist, you will have regular check-ins with your line manager (Community Organiser - Political Campaigns) and engage in an ongoing process of evaluation, thereby reflecting on the work you are carrying out to draw out learning and being willing to stretch yourself. Working closely with the head of content and the wider content team, this Social Media Manager role delivers our organic social media strategy. The social media manager leads on increasing cross-channel awareness and engagement to meet our KPIs with support from our social media executive.

The team
• The marketing communications team successfully delivers an increasing number of programmes and campaigns for funders, clients and businesses.
• Our aim is to deliver highly effective campaigns and return on investment with an increasingly agile and flexible approach.
• As a team, we want to identify and embrace new ideas, develop processes and ways of working that support the team, incorporate greater evaluation of our work, and share our insight.
What you’ll do
• Use attention grabbing, creative storytelling to get consumers and businesses to save energy and lower their carbon emissions to help the UK reach net zero.
• Work with multiple internal stakeholders to manage the social media forward planner and ensure all content is appropriately optimised for our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube accounts.
• Work reactively with our press and policy teams to communicate via social our expert position on breaking news and government announcements.
What you’ll bring
• Demonstrable strong experience of delivering a social media strategy and improving awareness and engagement.
• Previous line management experience and delegation in a social media role.
• Superb organisational skills with demonstrable experience of working with multiple internal stakeholders to juggle a busy multi-channel social media request process and calendar.
This is a fixed term, 12-month maternity cover, with an expected start date of 18 November 2024 and end date of 14 November 2025. Our standard weekly hours are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday. As standard we offer all contracts as blended (home and office-based) working.

The job
We’re looking for someone to wear two hats.
The first hat you’ll wear is that of a client lead. You’ll have full responsibility for the clients and projects that you and your team are working on. One day you might be working on ocean policy campaigns, helping technical clients adapt their language to make it engaging and influential, and in doing so helping to push the ocean agenda forward. The next you could be working with a not-for-profit, leading the creation of their brand identity, marketing strategy and overseeing the launch of their new website.
We’re on the hunt for a seasoned communications strategist and a creative campaigner. You’ll be someone who feels at home bringing your knowledge and experience to any communications challenge: from campaign strategy to brand strategy, from policy communications to digital marketing.
You should be a creative thinker, a problem solver, and someone who knows how to run projects profitably – and grow client relationships at the same time. You’ll be able to build relationships quickly, with clients and colleagues. You’ll spot mistakes, tactfully ask difficult questions, and tell us and our clients how to improve things.
The second hat you’ll wear is that of a new business lead. You’ll work with the CEO, Head of Strategy and other colleagues to identify, respond to, and win new business opportunities. We’re looking for someone who has directly relevant experience here – so you’ll have had experience in new business for an agency or consultancy, or have supported that function.
You’ll have experience responding to RFPs (and hopefully winning them – definitely tell us if you have a good hit rate), you’ll be excited by the idea of travelling abroad to give presentations to prospects and convert them to clients, and you’ll have ideas about how we can improve our marketing to generate more inbound leads. Where some see new business efforts as taxing and draining, you’ll be energised by it, and see new business as a game that is fun to play, and win.
Key skills and experience
The core things we are looking for are:
- Minimum 6 years experience, with at least three years in an equivalent agency setting
- Have communications expertise in creating stories, shaping narratives and social/policy campaigns and/or public affairs
- Experience and expertise in brand communications and/or strategy development
- Ability to produce creative and engaging communication materials: reports, websites, social media and print
We’re also looking for a mix of the below. We don’t expect you to have all of them, but you should be nodding to most of the things on the lists below.
Project management
- Excellent account and project management skills
- Finding creative solutions to complex problems
- Ability to break down large strategy and campaign projects into phased deliverables, guiding clients through the process
- Strong timeline and budget management skills
- Ability to identify areas of improvement/efficiencies, for yourself and your team, both in terms of process, training, and any other areas you identify
Team management
- Experience managing a team, growing their skills and ability (this role will have line management responsibilities)
- Onboarding new team members
- On an ongoing basis, identify future recruits for the company/build a wide network around the industry
Thought leadership
- Write thought leadership articles for the CFC website, at least once per quarter, ideally one a month promoting our thinking and best practices
- Participate in CFC training and knowledge sharing (webinars etc.)
- Attend events and conferences on behalf of the company
New business & sales
- Identify and respond to appropriate RFPs; lead pitch approaches
- Identify opportunities for future work with existing clients, write proposals to win that work
- Identify and pursue new leads
- Identify and shape new product offerings to take to market

Propositions & Copy Manager
Battersea’s Marketing & Communications department is responsible for communicating the breadth of the organisation’s work in an engaging and memorable way. Our work involves everything from innovative integrated advertising campaigns to rehome our animals, to supporting other departments with their strategic objectives. We are looking for someone to join us as a Propositions & Copy Manager to bring the Battersea brand to life by creating, developing and implementing the use of compelling propositions, succinct key messages and engaging copy to achieve organisation-wide objectives.
The ideal candidate will have fresh creative ideas and an ability to write compelling copy to implement the brand marketing strategy for Battersea, increase brand awareness and achieve objectives. They will have the ability to drive brand affinity through the development of high-quality, insight-led copy including clear propositions, key messages and call to action for different audiences.

As a Philanthropy Executive, you will work closely with the Philanthropy Manager supporting the development of a proactive and sustainable major donor programme. Your role will involve the relationship management of a portfolio of major donors and prospects; ensuring the donors you work with are engaged with our cause, and that you are responding to their individual stewardship needs as you keep them updated with our work.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the Philanthropy Manager in making strategic decisions to grow our major donor programme: providing insight from the excellent relationships you will manage, identifying opportunities and securing significant contributions ranging from four to six figures.
You will develop and use stewardship tools to guide donors through their giving journey, including cultivation plans, proposals, and reports. You will be involved in sourcing and presenting tailored information to donors, making appropriate financial and non-financial requests. You will facilitate and attend meetings and events, both in person and online, to nurture these relationships.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work with colleagues and volunteers across the organisation to support our fundraising efforts.
To succeed in this role, you should have a good understanding of sector trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements. You will also need to accurately record and report on your activities and portfolio, contributing to the team's KPIs.
What are we looking for?
A very skilled communicator with the ability to write and present clearly and persuasively. You should have experience securing major donations or other high-value support, or managing influential partnerships; ideally within a similar role in either the charity or commercial sector. Building and maintaining excellent relationships with individuals and organisations at all levels is essential.
A proven track record of meeting or exceeding financial targets is desirable. You should be creative and adaptable, able to identify and maximise opportunities. Strong IT skills are important, and knowledge of Raisers Edge is a plus.
You should be able to prioritise tasks and work flexibly across organisational boundaries, thriving as part of a team. A full driving licence for UK travel is desirable but not essential.
