You'll sit within our Philanthropy team, working on charitable trusts and foundations who generally give up to £30,000, working with a portfolio of approximately 75 active trusts and foundations. You'll research, identify and drive forward new income opportunities, maintaining relationship with existing donors and ensure our supporters have an excellent experience.
You'll deliver high quality, written application and reports to trusts and foundations, in line with funder deadlines, keeping in touch with donors and prospects via phone, virtually and face to face. You'll match potential donors with projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach.
This is an exciting time to join a high-performing and experienced team, with the Philanthropy team consistently bringing in over half of our voluntary income.

Your role

We want to dramatically grow income from trusts, foundations and institutional donors in the UK market and we are looking for a motivated Trusts & Institutional Funding Executive to support the new Trusts and Institutional Funding team to reach more children than ever.
A member of the Philanthropy and Partner Engagement team, you will report into the Institutional Funding Lead whilst working closely with the regional teams, the country teams, the War Child Alliance team and all relationship managers within the Philanthropy and Partner engagement team.
Your key objective is to provide operational, administrative, and analytical support to the team to grow income and enable War Child to deliver quality programmes, by ensuring compliance with quality and donor requirements, contributing to effective risk management, providing support for the different donor accounts and ensuring processes and systems are in place, implemented and efficient. The role requires proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Your responsibilities
Support to secure funding from institutional and trust donors
· Monitor and share potential funding opportunities with the relevant Donor Account Managers within the Trusts and Institutional Funding team and within the War Child Alliance with countries, regional and global teams
· Develop donor profiles by conducting research on potential donors, including their funding focus, giving history, and connections to War Child. Utilise a variety of resources to gather comprehensive information.
· Plan and prepare meetings with donors by collaborating with senior colleagues and stakeholders to determine strategic objectives and key messages. Coordinate logistical details, such as scheduling, venue selection, and materials preparation, to ensure smooth and productive meetings. Join senior colleagues in donor meetings and engagement opportunities when necessary.
· Support with the submission of concept notes, proposals (including Go-NoGo, internal approvals, donor vetting, due diligence, administrative documents) and reports. This includes conducting research on donors for vetting, coordinating with all internal stakeholders to organise a Go-NoGo decision, securing internal approvals in line with our Authorisation matrix, and liaising internally to gather relevant administrative documents and information).
· Work with War Child Alliance colleagues (including the Alliance Institutional Funding team, Country Directors, Regional teams and War Child NL colleagues) to support the creation of cases for support and capacity statements as required for UK donors to engage prospective donors and potential consortia partners.
· Collect information, provide access to and manage administrative data on donor databases and donor portals. Update our profile as required to ensure we are ready to submit proposals in a timely manner.
Strengthen internal capacities for Trusts & Institutional fundraising
· Support the implementation of internal grant management processes, ensuring compliance with our Grant Management Manual as well as compliance with GDPR and fundraising regulations
· Ensure accuracy of data in our grant management and Finance systems, including coding and alignment with our Finance policy and update data as required to ensure reports are accurate, up-to-date and insightful
· Prepare Salesforce reports, circulate with relevant stakeholders and analyse them to identify areas of success, issues and patterns, helping the team to make informed decision for future plans and strategies
· Liaise with and support the Alliance to support IATI (the International Aid Transparency Initiative) reporting as required, providing grant information and administrative documents
· Ensure compliant and organised information filing on Sharepoint to facilitate access to relevant information for all War Child staff and ensure smooth collaboration.
Improve work processes and disseminate information
· Identify gaps or bottlenecks in internal processes and propose ways for improvement, including developing tools and templates where necessary
· Facilitate work processes, provide guidance to the team and coordinate with the wider War Child Alliance to facilitate the sharing and improve the quality of information
· Support with improvement of Salesforce, coordinating with the Trusts & Institutional Funding team, Finance team and data team to identify any gaps in the system, suggesting ideas and documenting changes in our Salesforce Best Practice document
Support restricted fundraising capacity across Philanthropy and Partners engagement functions
· Disseminate and train Philanthropy, Gaming and Partnerships teams on Restricted funding processes, identifying the best way to engage all team members to ensure all restricted proposals follow the grant management policy
· Provide support to Philanthropy, Gaming and Partnerships teams to ensure compliance with War child’s and donors requirements on Restricted funding opportunities
· Provide logistical support for staff travels, liaising with country teams, our Security Adviser and providers in line with our safe travel and finance procedures.
· Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to WCUK's Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.

The Head of Fundraising & Communications will operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO and acting as the strategic lead for the charity’s fundraising and communications activity.

Refugee Council is seeking a Stewardship and Event Manager to lead on excellent stewardship and events at the charity.
Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK. Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment. Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system. The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.
As a result of growing need and increasing interest in Refugee Council’s work, the charity has ambitious plans to make a leap in impact, with investment in their Philanthropy Team to raise increased funds from key high value audiences.
This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships management team and represents a brilliant opportunity to support the growth and development of our major donor, trust and statutory and corporate partnerships portfolios.
Working with key stakeholders from across the organisation, the postholder will play a lead role in the development and delivery of an ambitious stewardship and events programme, offering a range of activities to engage and inspire supporters, and ensure that they are connected to, and inspired by, the work of Refugee Council.
The successful candidate will have experience in developing a special events programme to support cultivation and income generation, as well as of developing engaging and relevant donor and prospect communications. They will also have experience of leading on the conceptualisation, planning and delivery of a range of event types, from small, intimate dinners to large receptions and be adept at creating and managing a monitoring and evaluation framework to track activity and apply lessons learned to future activities. They will also be comfortable working with senior leaders within Refugee Council, as well as corporate leaders, parliamentarians and other influential people, alongside having a sound understanding of the principles and impact of exemplary stewardship and cultivation of supporters and prospects.
Refugee Council will provide the most moving and diverse case for support. Cases that encompass innovative external affairs campaigns aimed at engaging policy makers and the public.

The Role
The Philanthropic Partnerships Assistant plays an important role in supporting the financial sustainability objectives of GGF UK. The postholder is responsible for managing a portfolio of trust and foundations partnerships giving up to $200,000 per year, and will also be responsible for stewarding our portfolio of individual giving supporters donating up to £10,000 per year. The role also contributes to GGF UK’s communications activity in collaboration with our global Communications function, as well as contributing to ensuring that the organisation’s fundraising activity is supported with robust infrastructure and processes.
The position reports to the Head of Philanthropic Partnerships, and works closely with colleagues across Global Greengrants Fund UK and Global Greengrants Fund Inc.
The candidate profile.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in fundraising from trusts, foundations, and/or individual donors, ideally within environmental, international, or rights-based organisations. They will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and time management skills, effectively prioritising tasks to deliver excellent results within a complex, varied, and time-sensitive workload.
With excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, the candidate will have a proven ability to create compelling proposals, presentations, reports, and other materials. They will possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Google Apps, and collaboration tools like Trello and Slack, along with experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems. The candidate will have a strong understanding of and commitment to environmental and social justice, with some knowledge of the issues addressed by Global Greengrants Fund. Additionally, they will have experience working with diverse global communities in a virtual environment.
The ideal candidate will be committed to shifting power in philanthropy, promoting trust-based and power-shifting approaches to philanthropy and grantmaking. Scope of the Job
The Finance Officer at Alfanar will play a crucial role in delivering an effective and efficient finance function across the organization's group structure. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Officer will be supporting various financial tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash and reserves management, accounting processes, and financial risk mitigation. The role requires a focus on continuous improvement, problem-solving, and development to ensure high-performance standards and exceptional finance services for Alfanar's teams.
Reports to: Head of Finance
Main Responsibilities
· Manage all receivables and payables following agreed processes and ensure timely payment.
· Prepare monthly payroll and set up salary payments
· Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis
· Producing Monthly Management Accounts with the help of the finance system and Excel templates.
· Review donor reports prepared by the country office for accuracy and cost allocation
· Claim gift aid on a regular basis
· Support organisation budget and proposal budget process.
· Support organisational audit process.
· Any other duties as agreed by the Head of Finance.
Financial accounting
· Be an integral part of ensuring effective and efficient financial control environment across Alfanar’s group structure
· Operate key financial controls including balance sheet schedules, intercompany and income reconciliations
· Support the continuing develop of effective financial management procedures, increasing automation and efficiency
· Ensure accurate and complete records for restricted funds
· Active involvement in payroll to ensure an accurate and up to date payroll
· Manage the payments process using Xero financial software ,review and set up payments at the bank
· Support Head of Finance in developing and implementing Finance processes across the Alfanar group.
· Ensure Alfanar is up to date and compliant with its statutory duties relating to Payroll, Pensions, VAT , Corporation Tax and other statutory submissions.
Reporting
● Support Head of Finance with the preparation of annual accounts in line with financial reporting standards, including consolidation of future group entities, ready for Audit.
● Support Head of Finance during organisation’s external audit
● Liaise with external accountants, including on all filing requirements
● Prepare financial information for the trustees annual report and liaise with the communications function on presentation
Financial management reporting and finance business partnering
● Support budgeting and reforecasting process led by Head of Finance. Ensure relevant team members receive guidance notes and documentation in relation to the budget and forecast processes and templates
● Manage the month end close procedure, including preparing journals to record the required accruals and fund transfers
● Prepare, review and analyse management accounts, seek variance explanations, prepare commentary and summaries based on budget holder responses, and ensure management understand any required actions.
● Continue to develop monthly management reports and budget Vs actual reports for budget holders.
● Work with the fundraising team to ensure that income data flows are documented, and finance and fundraising metrics are clearly defined and accurately calculated and reported
Tax, cash, risk and reserves management and group operations
● Working with the Head of Finance, manage, review and improve Alfanar’s (online) banking arrangements and relationships, across the group structure
● Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and requirements and ensure appropriate cash management and transfers across the group structure.
● Should it be required, support with Alfanar’s registration for VAT, set up and operate the required changes to the accounting systems, and prepare and file VAT returns, including other entities within the VAT group
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
● Experience of supporting in accounting, payments, transaction processing, financial reporting, tax, and cash management with international operations ideally in a growing group.
● Experience of automating financial processes and developing reporting functionality from accounting systems
● Knowledge and experience of using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software.
● Experience of providing financial management support/business partnering to managers/budget holders, who may not have a financial background.
● Qualified affiliate accountant or working towards a qualification (UK ACA, CIMA, ACCA ,AAT or equivalent)
● Knowledge of data protection legislation, risk management and other governance regulations including confidentiality.

What the job involves
We're looking for a Proposition Development Manager to join a newly created team within our Fundraising directorate. The team have been created to work alongside the high value teams (Philanthropy and Partnerships) to provide them with the highest quality donor research, funding propositions and stewardship materials required to create transformative partnerships with businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations.
As the Proposition Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in this team, supporting our ambitious high value fundraising strategy and the development of Prostate Cancer UK’s first Major Appeal. You'll also establish an 'Information Bank' of materials to support fundraising efforts. The role
The Senior Network Fundraising Manager is a new and vital role, created to maximise income generation across FareShare’s national team and 18 Network Partners. This role is integral to driving collaboration and establishing a strategic approach to fundraising across multiple sites.
FareShare has a vibrant national fundraising department that has consistently grown the organisation’s new and existing income streams in recent years. As we have grown, so have our regional delivery partners, who are independent charities, each investing in their own fundraising to sustain larger operations. The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will join FareShare’s Fundraising Leadership Team to enhance these efforts through strategic collaboration and clearly defined ways of working to maximise opportunities across our income streams.
Central to this role is the development and co-design of a strategic plan for fundraising across FareShare and our Network Partners. This plan will ensure we are better equipped for income generation, adopting consistent ways of working and a co-ordinated approach, which avoids overlapping our respective audiences and keeps the supporter at the heart of our decision making.
The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will facilitate and coordinate fundraising activities across multiple partners. The role will ensure that the tools, frameworks, resources, monitoring and evaluation methods, and relationships are in place to successfully share information, champion successes and build new funding opportunities across FareShare and our Network Partners.

You will have a strong track record in income generation, and experience or understanding of organisations working together in a federative structure. About the Role
As the Senior Communications Officer (content) in the Public Engagement Team, you will be passionate about the rights of young people in the UK. Using your creativity and experience in delivering public-facing communications content and fundraising content you will be instrumental in increasing Depaul UK’s income, profile and influence. Your ability to meaningfully engage and involve young people, staff and volunteers will ensure that their voices are heard and amplified through Depaul UK’s communications and fundraising activity.
You will lead the delivery of communications and fundraising content that increases brand awareness and engages our target audiences to support Depaul UK as donors or in other ways support the organisation. We will expect you to ensure that your content and brand awareness raising activity is consistent with Depaul’s values.
Working closely with internal colleagues as well as external designers, filmmakers, photographers and other agencies, you will actively engage with young people in our services and in the communities we work in to capture their experiences, amplify their voices and develop content and material for our communications and fundraising activity.
Key responsibilities include:
● Take a lead role in the delivery of Depaul UK’s creative content production that strengthens our profile and allows us to raise more funds for our work
● Coordinate the Content creation of the whole Fundraising and Engagement team and draw up a Content Creation Strategy in conjunction with colleagues, ensuring you are closely linked to both the needs of Public Engagement, Philanthropy and Partnerships and the wider organisation.
● Work with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver content briefs
● Interview clients and craft compelling written stories to support our messages and campaigns across print and digital platforms.
● Produce video and photography content to support our messages and campaigns across print and digital platforms.
● Work closely with external design agencies and freelancers to support the production of key organisational print and digital materials ensuring high quality production that meet brand guidelines
● Be an advocate for the brand and work with the Head of Communications to ensure brand guidelines are adhered to across all content.
About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
● Experience in interviewing case studies and creating compelling written and visual stories for a variety of audiences.
● Knowledge of video production and video editing software Premiere Pro
● Experience in using brand guidelines to create content
● Experience working with and managing external partners and freelance photographers, filmmakers and designers
● Experience working with socially excluded or vulnerable people
● Experience in analysing complex information and then summarising and presenting it in easy-to-understand content
● Experience in delivering a wide range of high-quality content
● Excellent project management skills, with an ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver to deadlines
● Willingness to work variable hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
