We require someone who has demonstrable experience in philanthropy fundraising or has strong transferable skills. It is essential that you have experience in managing people at a senior level to lead a team of five philanthropy fundraisers.

Everything we do is geared to supporting the renowned Christie hospital to ensure cancer patients receive the highest level of treatment and care and have access to world leading research and technology ensuring they have the best possible experience and outcomes. We provide funding over and above what the NHS is able to provide.

The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive gold standard care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

We are excited to announce that we are looking for a motivated and compassionate veteran with experience in addiction recovery, mental health services or veteran welfare to help us expand and develop the SMART Veterans Programme in Scotland. We will be actively interviewing for this role as suitable candidates come forward, so we reserve the right to stop accepting applications earlier than the stated deadline.

You need to have experience of working with vulnerable people, or in supporting the welfare of individuals, ideally military personnel or veterans. Facilitation of meetings, training and group sessions is essential as is your knowledge of the needs veterans have when they leave service. You should have knowledge of best practice in facilitation and possess good presentation skills. Knowledge of what addiction recovery is and how recovery programmes work is important with knowledge of the SMART Recovery 4-point Programme being highly beneficial.

We accept applications from individuals who have lived experience of addiction either directly or through family and friends, and be able to demonstrate living a balanced life. You need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to motivate yourself and others and manage your time efficiently. Self-motivation is crucial as this is a home-based role with lots of virtual meetings. We will also consider a secondment from existing employment elsewhere.

Experience working with or being a volunteer is essential and experience of delivering training would equip you well for the role. The ability to support people with adverse lived experiences in a grounded manner and be able to provide support within professional boundaries is very important. Giving and receiving feedback, gathering data and other evidence to inform service development, and exercising reflective practice are all essential attributes.

The role is home-based, and you will be provided with all office equipment and a travel budget as needed. In order to manage your time and travel effectively you will need to be comfortable forming and developing relationships online, attending and hosting meetings via zoom or MS Teams (this is both business meetings with partner organisations and mutual aid recovery meetings). You will be required to conduct national travel and occasional overnight stays, visiting SMART meetings and facilitators in your area delivering a package of support to facilitators and our partners, helping the charity to grow by helping to generate new business. There are also team development residental trips away with the SMART team every year.

In addition, you will contribute to the global development of SMART Recovery via veteran orientated projects identified by SMART Recovery International. It is essential that you can travel and work flexibly to meet the needs of the role.

Elrha is a global organisation that finds solutions to complex humanitarian problems through research and innovation. 

 We are looking to recruit a finance assistant within our Grants Operation and Finance team (GOF). As a central strategic function of Elrha, GOF works closely with all other teams and is responsible for managing Elrha’s financial planning, management, and reporting; and for leading on the operational aspects of grant management. The team has a particular focus on risk management in Elrha’s grant-making, and ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place to comply with all donor requirements.  

In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across Elrha and in SCUK to coordinate and complete a range of finance and administration tasks to support accurate and timely financial reporting. The Finance Assistant will also have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the process in order to ensure Elrha is always maintaining best practice. 

Your application will need to demonstrate: 

• Experience of experience of undertaking a range of transactional tasks associated with financial administration. 
• An understanding of basic finance and accounting principles and processes. 
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of numeracy. 
• Proven ability to work proactively and resourcefully in a constantly changing environment. 
• An interest in the humanitarian or development sectors, ideally demonstrated through academic qualifications and/or paid or voluntary work.

Experience of contributing to the development and implementation of new or updated policies, processes and procedures would also be an advantage.

The Director of Programmes will play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership and management of our Programmes Directorate. The role of strategic funding is crucial to this transformative change.  We are looking for an individual who is committed to anti-racist and feminist leadership to join our senior leadership team and help drive this change.

You will have significant experience and a proven track record in developing and delivering fundraising strategy, particularly focused on trusts, foundations and philanthropy, taking a relationship-based approach to build partnerships with organisations that share similar values and vision.

You will work with the team to build our capability, partnership, systems and processes to steward relationships, develop grants and manage their delivery.  Working with our Communications Co-ordinator you will help to build INTRAC’s profile and position in line with our strategic vision and ambitions.  You will have active support from the CEO along with strong board commitment to help develop and deliver this role.

This is a part time role (0.6-0.8 FTE); initially offered as an eighteen month contract with the intention to extend should the role be successful.

We are a remote organisation, with staff working across the UK. As we become a global network we are looking at options as to how to expand our staff base in different geographies, as we believe this will benefit INTRAC and support our strategic direction.  However, we do not have a straightforward way to do this currently. About the Accelerating Reform Fund

The Accelerating Reform Fund is a new initiative which aims to transform social care services, making them more responsive to the needs of the community. It is a national programme, with 42 regions allocated to have their own projects. Greater Manchester is one of the ARF regions. The ARF has a particular focus on unpaid carers and aims to boost short-term breaks for carers and improve hospital discharge processes. This work is made possible by Department for Health and Social Care grants. As an organisation, Gaddum has supported and collaborated with unpaid carers for many years, so we’re excited to bring our experience to the table. This role will be based in the Manchester team working to improve hospital discharge processes.

Job Summary

To develop and ensure safe discharge planning and information for patients and unpaid carers. To embed procedures to raise awareness of the needs of carers in a secondary care setting, working in partnership with the discharge, virtual and enablement teams. To empower carers to be involved in the discharge process.

The purpose of this role is to provide operational leadership and oversight of the Carers Hospital Discharge Pilot in Manchester. The role involves line-managing a team of three Hospital Discharge Workers across multiple hospital sites, ensuring effective collaboration with hospital staff and community services to support carers. The aim is to enhance the identification and referral of carers, ensuring timely and appropriate support to prevent carer breakdown and facilitate smoother, safer, and more efficient hospital discharges. By fostering strong relationships with health teams, discharge teams, and local services, this role bridges the gap between secondary care and community resources, contributing to improved outcomes for carers and patients alike.

As RIVET’s inaugural Director of Donor Engagement, you will help build and then lead the stewardship implementation for our 70+ major donors who serve on our Leadership Council, Youth Impact Council, and Youth Impact Fund, providing them with a meaningful experience that reflects our shared values and desired impact. RIVET’s operating budget is $2.5M, with most of that currently coming from philanthropic support. Our four-year sustainable business model strategy reflects an increasing reliance on brand revenue.
