- Lead on the establishment and co-ordination of a learning community drawn from the relevant delivery partner faculty, to meet not less than three times a year; ensuring programme insights and learning are captured, cross referenced with evaluation data and fed into future programme planning and on-going quality improvement.

- Coach senior leaders from any of the leadership programmes as the opportunities arise.
- Contribute to writing reports for key bodies when required, including the House of Bishops, the College of Bishops and General Synod if required.

As Scientific and Patient Information Manager, you will work in the Medical Education and Scientific Engagement team at Myeloma Patients Europe. Under the Department Head and MPE Leadership Team, you will oversee the following projects and activities:
European Myeloma and AL Amyloidosis Clinical Trial Navigator Management (Approximately 50%)
MPE has developed an online clinical trial search tool of European myeloma and AL amyloidosis clinical trials for patients and advocates (https:// navigator.mpeurope. org/en). This role will be responsible for the management, improvement, and promotion of this core MPE programme, including:
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate database of all industry and academic recruiting myeloma, AL amyloidosis, MGUS, and smouldering myeloma clinical trials in Europe
- Liaise with industry and academic clinical trial sponsors, clinical trial sites, and other stakeholders to maintain database up-to-date
- Liaise with web developers to manage the Navigator website, make enhancements, and fix technical issues
- Oversee implementation of translated materials in multiple languages
- Elicit feedback from patients, family members, clinicians and other stakeholders to ensure continued improvement and enhancements

Patient Education Management (Approximately 40%)
A key role of MPE is providing up-to-date, comprehensive, and patient friendly educational materials and tools for our members and the patient community, as well as communicating about advances in myeloma and AL amyloidosis. This role will be responsible for working across MPE to develop an educational plan and develop and deliver resources including:
- Perform efficient scientific watch (monitoring advancements in research and clinical development)
- In coordination with the Head of Medical Education and Scientific Engagement, as well as other department Heads (Patient Research, Access and Policy, Communication, Capacity Building and Advocacy), develop and prioritise a patient educational plan based on member and patient needs, scientific advances and cross-department projects
- Research, write, and develop patient education materials including factsheets, Q&As, webinars, infographics, news stories and social media content related to clinical and scientific updates
- Attending (in person or virtually) scientific congresses and developing conference and scientific meeting summaries, organising post-conference webinars for patients in collaboration with the Communication department
- Manage the execution of educational materials from conception to publication in coordination with Department Head, other MPE departments, and external stakeholders (key opinion leaders, proofreaders etc.)
Patient and member support (Approximately 5%)
- Answer medical and scientific inquiries from patients, carers and MPE members

Purpose of role
To manage the annual programme of the PPA psychoanalytic psychotherapy qualifying training and the Advanced Clinical Course. To promote and grow the trainings. To manage the budget and collect and report on performance management data. To track all trainees’ progress, to ensure the smooth running of all elements of the teaching provision and to liaise and work in collaboration with the PPA training committee (TC), curriculum committee (CC), selection committee (SC) and post graduate committee (PGC).
Accountable to

Key responsibilities
1) To oversee and manage the delivery of the annual programme of the PPA trainings in collaboration with the TC and PGC.
a) Booking clinical, theory and group seminar leaders in collaboration with TC and PGC.
b) In liaison with the Director of Marketing, Communications and Engagement place adverts for supervisors, teachers, and group leaders as appropriate.
c) Ensure that trainees and TC have an up-to-date list of Training Analysts, Training Supervisors and Approved Therapists
d) Room booking for all aspects of the programme.
e) Annual review, update and production of handbooks and all written materials for course.
f) Collaboration with the library to track reading list production.
g) To be the first point of contact in cases of emergency.
h) To collect, collate and report on trainee feedback.
2) To oversee the annual trainee selection for the trainings.

Job purpose
This is a pivotal role created to support an ambitious £80m fundraising appeal that will culminate in the creation of the new Royal Free London Cancer Centre.
The RFL, is one of the busiest cancer services in London, combining local care for a population of 2.5m with specialist services relied on by patients from all over the UK and beyond. By 2030, the number of people diagnosed with cancer in north central London is forecast to increase by 42% to 66,000 as the population ages.
The RFL urgently needs to increase its diagnostic, treatment, research and development capacity to meet the needs of our patients. In response, the Royal Free Charity is preparing a major fundraising appeal to support:
- the capital costs for the construction and equipping of a dedicated centre
- the delivery of cancer-related support services.
The campaign communications manager will support the activities of our fundraising directorate in the private phase (Autumn 2024 onwards) and the launch of the public phase of our appeal in early 2026.
The postholder will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans to engage philanthropists, existing supporters, grateful patients, stakeholders and the public. It promises to be a varied and rewarding role in a small but highly collaborative and friendly team.
The role will report to our head of communications and work closely with the campaign director and colleagues in our fundraising directorate and with key clinical leads in the RFL.

The objectives of the post are to:
- develop and deliver the overarching communications and engagement plan for the cancer campaign

Working alongside Operational Colleagues, the Income and Housing Officer will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of generic Housing Management services across their patch with the main focus on Income Collection and some ASB management. As Operations Executive you will support the Head of Operations to ensure seamless governance, meticulous finance management, and impactful project coordination. In this pivotal role, you will:
- Oversee key operational responsibilities and facilitate effective communication both internally and with our external partners.
- Play a crucial role in making sure the team operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Handle finance and data with meticulous attention to detail, manage schedules, procure equipment, and ensure compliance with governance and legal standards.

Accountabilities
Administrative and Event Support:

Coordinate team purchases to ensure necessary resources are available.

Manage receipt and bank card transactions to maintain financial accuracy.
-
Team scheduling, including managing rooms and meeting calendars, to optimise team coordination.
-
Team travel management to coordinate logistics and support organisational activities.
-
Equipment assessment and procurement to maintain and upgrade necessary tools and infrastructure.

Support the People Manager with coordination and organisation of Team Reset Days
Data and CRM Management:
-
Update and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

Manage payment platforms to facilitate smooth financial operations.
-
Managing external inboxes to ensure timely communication and response.
-
Support the Head of Operations in the delivery of CRM training to the team
Legal and Compliance Support:
-
Initiate legal cases via the pro bono platform, aligning with Big Change legal requirements.
-
Support the annual audit process to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
-
Support the Head of Operations to ensure high standards of data security and GDPR compliance, including training and development. Act as a DPO for the organisation.
IT and Workspace Management:

Serve as a primary contact for IT and other workspace-related issues, ensuring a functional and efficient work environment.

Act as the office liaison with our hosts, Virgin Management Limited, to maintain a smooth operational relationship and ensure compliance with host policies.
Financial Operations (supporting the Finance Manager):

Support accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely processing of transactions.

Managing some donation processing to support organisational funding needs.
-
Team expenses management to ensure accurate tracking and reimbursement.
-
Manage accounts and subscriptions to ensure continuous service and budget alignment.

Monitor and manage some core budget areas.
General Support:

Support onboarding and offboarding of Big Change team members.
-
Handle tasks arising from strategic objectives as directed by the line manager.

Prepare ad-hoc research pieces around operational systems and processes.
-
Provide support for additional ad hoc tasks that enhance the team's functionality.
Skills / capabilities:

Organisation: coordinating meetings.

Administration: proficient in handling administrative duties.

Communication: liaising with team members, external partners, and other stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: identify problems quickly and develop effective solutions, particularly when managing logistical or operational challenges.

Technological: competent using office software, CRM system, and the ability to manage digital records and communications tools.

Financial: manage financial records, understand budgeting, and handle accounts payable/receivable efficiently.

Adaptable and Flexible: able to adjust to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications / experience

Project Management: experience in coordinating team logistics and events, purchases, and scheduling, as well as managing equipment procurement.

Proficiency with CRM and Office Technology: demonstratable ability to utilise CRM systems and proficiency with office technology for data management and operational efficiency.

Some understanding of Legal and Audit Processes: knowledge of legal compliance and familiarity with audit processes to ensure organisational adherence to regulations.

Experience in Financial Operations: proven track record of managing financial transactions, including accounts receivable and payable, donation processing, and team expense tracking.

Understanding of data protection legislation.
