What we’re looking for in our Associate Director of Capital, Estates and Facilities:
- An experienced, qualified Estates & Facilities Management professional with:
- Proven experience at a senior management level in a large, complex organisation, demonstrating strategic and operational leadership
- Strong background in contract negotiation, estates management, and compliance in facilities
- Knowledge of large service contracts, experience of successful contract negotiation and long-term contract management
- Specialist knowledge regarding compliance issues in estates, fleet and facilities
- Experience in capital planning and development with an ability to lead significant change management projects
- Expertise in environmental management, health and safety, and budget oversight.
- First degree or equivalent professional award in appropriate Estates and Facilities Management

Key responsibilities of the Bookkeeper
Bookkeeping & Financial Transactions:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records up to the trial balance stage.
- Assist with month-end tasks and processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Accounts Payable:
- Process supplier invoices (via Dext and QuickBooks) and reconcile supplier statements.
- Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and manage payment remittances.
- Handle supplier queries and staff expense claims efficiently.
Accounts Receivable:
- Raise sales invoices in accordance with the Sales Order master sheet.
- Assist with credit control by chasing late payments and reconciling income streams such as payments, donations, and grants in collaboration with the fundraising team.
Bank Reconciliation & Cash Handling:
- Reconcile bank accounts (volunteer and petty cash accounts).
- Handle cash transactions and ensure proper posting onto QB / Cash log spreadsheet
- Managing Petty Cash
- When required make card purchases and log in Purchase Order record
Payments & Salaries:
- Prepare and check fortnightly payment runs
- Upload salary payments to the online banking system
- Process payments and receipts into accounting software (QuickBooks)
Compliance & Financial Support:
- Ensure compliance with charity-specific accounting regulations
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities by working closely with the finance team and department managers
- Provide training and support to colleagues on finance procedures, such as sales orders, purchase orders, petty cash and expense claims.
Financial Processing for Hire and performances:
- Support the Head of Programming to ensure timely processes around ticket sales reports and payments to companies
- Support the Head of Programming to compile PPL and PRS reports to ensure music royalties are correctly recorded
- Support the Bookings Manager to create invoices for commercial hires, performance hires and monthly classes.
Additional responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for cash-related queries from staff, offering expert advice and support.
- Assist the Finance Manager with various accounting tasks and special projects as needed.
- Support the development and delivery of the organisation's Arts Training Scheme.

Main Role & Responsibilities

An overview of the opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Talent and Leadership Development, we are looking for a customer-focused, organised, forward thinking and creative Programme Manager to join us and drive our mission of cross-sector collaboration.
WIG was founded on secondments, and as such, they continue to play a hugely important role in our vision for a country where leaders collaborate for the common good. As leaders second in and out of organisation's, so too does knowledge sharing and porosity which enables strong decision making and improved collaboration. You will be responsible for managing the Charity Next Secondment Programme ( a collaborative partnership between the Civil Service Fast Stream and Charities, Not for Profit's and Academia) working collaboratively to maximise secondment engagement between the sectors. You will also manage inwards secondments to member organisations as well as working on and developing new concepts, programmes and solutions to maximise porosity and knowledge sharing. You will work closely with other departments and the wider team to develop and increase both the volume and impact of secondment initiatives. You will do this by leveraging your data-driven and research approach as well as evidencing your strong relationship and stakeholder development skills.
What we’re looking for:
- Prior experience as a programme manager, project manager or similar, client-facing role with a demonstrable track record of excellent customer service.
- Prior experience in internal and external stakeholder management and proven ability to build rapport and liaise with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering successful and effective business development strategies - with strong outcomes.
- A successful track record of using CRM systems (a plus if it's Dynamics!), Microsoft Forms, and other software applications to help aid decision making, keep on track of KPIs and to ensure strong project management and outcomes.
- Demonstrable aptitude in managing administration and processes including the signing of secondment agreements, onboarding meetings, feedback cycles and regular communication strategies.
- Demonstrable history of meeting deadlines and the ability to oversee several different projects simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a successful track record of building rapport and liaising with senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
- Whilst not mandatory, it would be a huge plus if you displayed an interest in current affairs, contributing to a well-rounded and informed professional perspective.
- Prior experience of working to budgets, KPIs and forecasted elements of work.
- Strong teamwork - picking up other elements of work as required from the Talent & Leadership team as well as other interdepartmental bodies.

What do some of the main role responsibilities look like?

About the role:
Key responsibilities include the design and facilitation of workshops, evaluation and exploitation of research, stakeholder engagement, and collaborating on research outputs, reports and deliverables. The project is led by Coventry University's Centre for Agroecology, Water, and Resilience (CAWR) focusing on sustainable, place-based food procurement in the UK. This position will work with a similar role within CAWR to deliver a range of research and dissemination activities across the project.
- The project involves interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, utilizing living case studies of community food hubs (Cultivate Food Hub – Wales, Cambridge Food Hub, The Better Food Shed – London and Galloway Food Hub – Scotland) and open-source socio-technical innovations like the Open Food Network (OFN).
- It aims to drive transformative changes in food systems by addressing research questions related to small-scale producers, open-source innovations, place-based governance, sustainability impacts, and scaling mechanisms.
- The project involves multi-actor collaboration, data management practices, ethical considerations, and aims to create environmentally sustainable, local food systems while engaging stakeholders and contributing to policy development.
- The core team includes individuals from Coventry University, Garden Organic, and Social Farms & Gardens, with partners from organizations like Soil Association, Birmingham City Council, and Open Food Network involved in the project.
- The project runs for 48 months from October 2024, aiming to generate new knowledge and drive just, sustainable transitions in food systems.
You will be reporting to our Research Manager, and your core responsibilities and main duties are as follows:
- Day-to-day management and delivery of the research project P4G.
- Manage the internal communications with other GO staff involved with the project.
- Be the day-to-day conduit with the project leader (CAWR).
- Undertake research into public procurement focusing on the use of living case studies through:
- Stakeholder mapping and analysis,
- On-farm surveys

Job Purpose
- Supporting the Director of Operations and working alongside the Professional Development Manager, you will have responsibility for the management of all the Chartered Institute’s existing qualifications.
- You will be responsible for the academic integrity of qualification-related learning products, including responsibility for the assessment and external verification processes.
- You will also be responsible for project managing the rewrite of our Level 4 Certificate and Level 5 Diploma qualifications through a team of experienced tutors.
- You will scope the opportunity to deliver a Level 3 and Level 6 qualification for future release, offering modular options for students.
- In addition, you will contribute to our journey to achieving awarding status from Ofqual and work with the Executive Director of Change on the final stage of our chartered status, achieving the power to award Individual chartered status for fundraisers.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide support to potential, current, and future students including advising on suitable courses and qualifications, assessment, and options for their career path.
- Maintain excellent relationships with the Chief Examiner, External Examiner, and qualification tutors in relation to assignments or examinations.

- Support the working relationship with the CIOF Learning and Development Committee, and the European Fundraising Association.
- Cross-departmental interaction to ensure qualifications are promoted effectively across multiple channels, ensuring the Membership Services Hub are fully engaged with our products, including cross-promoting our CPD policy and the competence framework to members.
- Liaising with third-party technology suppliers to troubleshoot issues where necessary.
- Co-ordinate effective evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of all courses across the academy; including but not exclusively, to CIOF Qualifications.
- Work with the wider team to ensure approved tutors, trainers, and regional trainers are delivering content of the highest quality.
- Utilise feedback across all CIOF learning products and services to support continuous quality improvements.
- Ensure accurate input of relevant data (notes, actions, agreed plans with members and customers) into the CRM.

Experience & Skills
- Experience in developing and managing qualifications in an education establishment.
- Experience in working with subject matter experts to maintain and develop learning content.
- Experience in faculty/speaker acquisition and dealing with senior-level people.
- Experience in topic development, research, and copywriting.
- Experience in designing competency frameworks and aligning them with professional development activities.
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience or demonstrable knowledge of the charity sector and/or fundraising, and/or professional associations.
- Experience in using communication systems (email, phone etc.).
- Experience in managing budgets and tracking income and expenditure.
- Experience in using MS Office applications and making the most of our CRM, including analysing reports to drive understanding of learner experience.
- Experience in using Learning Management Systems.
- A confident self-starter with strong organisational and planning skills.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Effective written skills.
