As the Programme Manager for the Green Future Fellowships, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing this new programme. Location

Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy.

Overview of Role

This is a brand-new role for someone to make their own! The home is a new addition to our range of services. You will manage the two bedded home working with children in a therapeutic manner, recognising the difficulties that children can experience when considering the impact of early life trauma,  adverse childhood experiences and disrupted attachments. You and your team will help them to learn to thrive in their day to day lives.  The successful applicant will support and manage a team of senior residential childcare workers and residential childcare workers, whilst acting as a corporate parent to the children we care for.

Location: Hybrid working part London Office (Islington, London) part home work.  The post holder will work a minimum of 1 day per week in the office. Some out of standard business hours work may be required, including weekends and evening work to facilitate events.

Who we are looking for 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our Special Events Team as Senior Special Events Fundraiser.

We have some exciting events coming up including a reception in October and a high-profile dinner at The Design Museum in November, so we need somebody to come in and hit the ground running. Please note that these events are in the evenings so the role will require some flexibility.

You will work closely with the Head of Special Events to deliver our events, taking responsibility for key elements of the management and delivery of each event and ensuring they meet budget targets. You will collaborate with internal teams on delivering events, including the bi-annual Patrons’ Club Reception and other events that arise over the year.

Relationship building (both externally and internally) is a key part of the role and an integral part of working for JDRF so you will have excellent interpersonal and stewardship skills.

As a highly creative and confident fundraiser, you will be given the scope to develop existing events as well as creating new and innovative events to increase fundraising as well as raising awareness of JDRF. 

Experience required 

You’ll have previous experience of: 

• Managing successful Special Events from concept to post-event evaluation

• Developing event plans and materials

• Building relationships with high level supporters, senior volunteer committees and external suppliers

Job Purpose
 
BSR’s education programme is a key benefit to members and the wider rheumatology community, providing updates on the essentials needed to deliver top-quality care for patients and ensuring professional development opportunities. 

This role sits within the Education team who are responsible for delivering BSR’s educational activity. Working alongside the Head of Education, the Events and Education Manager and the Digital Events Manager, you will assist in the planning and delivery of a range of education courses, webinars, bursary schemes and eLearning activities.  You will work with the team to support the work of our Education Committee, Trainee Committee and Digital Learning Board. 

This is an exciting role for someone looking to get more hands-on experience in planning and executing a variety of educational events and activities and liaising with multiple stakeholders. It is a unique opportunity to be part of the team at the forefront of rheumatology education, making a tangible impact on the professional development of members and the broader rheumatology community.
 

Main responsibilities

• Manage course and webinar registration processes, including delegate bookings, communications, data management and reporting, and producing delegate materials.  
• Manage course logistics including venue sourcing and management, accommodation and travel, catering and AV.
• Manage the rheumatology training webinar series, including topic development, speaker management and live delivery.
• Manage the creation of monthly eLearning packages including webinars, podcasts and eLearning cases.
• Manage the education bursary programme, including promotion, application management and financial reconciliation.
• Manage CPD accreditation of educational activities. 
• Manage events inbox and education team enquiries.
• Input into our education budgets by monitoring progress against income and expenditure for projects owned. 
• Produce content for webpages and social media platforms to drive interest and engagement and keep delegates informed.  
• Attend committee meetings, provide updates if needed and assist with the minute-taking, agenda preparation and follow-up on actions as necessary.  
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of Education and the Events and Education Manager.

The Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity raise money for some incredible initiatives, including cutting edge hospital equipment, dedicated clinical fellowships, patient funds, and mental health support for Long Covid patients.

This role will develop existing relationships with high-net-worth donors, as well as developing a broader major donor product offering including a patron’s programme and harnessing the potential of the hospital’s clinical networks. Key duties include:

• Developing relationships with new and existing High Net Worth Individuals to understand their motivations and desires to advance care for heart and lung patients.
• Account managing existing major donor relationships, giving at a 4-6 figure level.
• Supported by the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, developing the major donor fundraising strategy and product offering including a patron’s programme and a suite of stewardship events.
• Managing a comprehensive prospect research process, working with hospital partners and internal colleagues to identify potential new supporters and develop a pipeline of new major donor fundraising opportunities.
• Working with grants and marketing teams to shape a series of compelling fundraising propositions.

We’re looking for someone with the following skills & experience:

• Experience of establishing and developing high-value relationships within a fundraising setting.
• Experience of supporting or establishing a new fundraising programme or strategy.
• Tangible experience of making high-value asks from supporters.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for networking and engaging new supporters.
• Knowledge and appreciation for the healthcare sector, with an interest in fundraising for medical research and treatment projects.

The post holder will be fully involved in all aspects of the day-to-day management of our Young Peoples Ofsted registered service, including line managing the relevant front-line staff. You will lead and develop competence of direct reports as well as carry caseloads of customers requiring support. You will work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that the service delivers on all targets, both financial and those around the quality of the service.

What you'll do:

- Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
- Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting and communication
- Responsible for the personal development of staff, identifying high performers and feeding into the organisation's succession plans
- Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) required as part of the Contract are met and recorded correctly
- Develop key business relationships with all appropriate relevant customers/external parties to ensure service delivery excellence and maximise new business opportunities in own patch
- Participate in and monitor the initial and continuous assessment of needs and ensure that support planning is carried out in line with assessed needs of the customer
- Carry out other administrative tasks as relevant to the service and directed by the Contract/Heads of Operations
- Manage the Service Rota
- Ensure that all safeguarding cases are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to Contract Manager/Head of Operations, as appropriate

We are looking for someone to take our charity ecommerce operation to the next level, maximising income through sales of high-value or specialist items generously donated to us by the general public. You will work closely with the Director of Public Fundraising and Retail to create a strategy for this exciting area of charity retail as well as being hands on in the day-to-day management of the team, and identification and listing of items ranging from clothing and jewellery to electricals and furniture and everything weird and wonderful in-between.
