What the job involves
This is an exciting new role within our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. The Senior Strategic Communications and Campaigns Manager will be leading strategic content and public affairs within Prostate Cancer UK.
You’ll drive all our major campaigns and the development of the multiyear messaging narrative, all while directing and collaborating with a diverse and talented team of specialists. Your work within strategic communications and campaigns will inspire action and drive positive change for men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.
Working closely with the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand you’ll outline and develop our narrative to our audience and communities, ensuring our campaigns are integrated across the Communications directorate and the wider organisation. You’ll manage the strategic content and public affairs teams as the key point of contact of our external public affairs agency.

Whizz Kidz is transforming. It is an exciting time to join us as Partnerships Development Manager as we embark on an ambitious strategy for the next three years. The Fundraising and communications team at Whizz Kidz raises around 95% of the income to fund the work of the charity and supports the generation of funds through on and offline publications, develops our social media and website presence and leads on PR activities.
The person
As the Whizz Kidz Partnership Development Manager you will be expected to get into the heart of the organisation, understand our ambitions and use your passion, knowledge and skills to help identify and deliver new mutually beneficial corporate partnerships. You will the experience and knowledge of how to identify and quantify the right opportunities for Whizz Kidz and know what it takes to win and manage different types of partnerships – employee engagement, strategic and brand and commercial. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable presenting and willing to develop and learn new skills. You will be keen to play a key role within the fundraising and marcomms team to help maintain a positive culture, use your strong relationship management skills internally and externally, help increase brand awareness and unlock vital income to create positive change for young wheelchair users and their families.

The Director of Development and Head of Foundation will execute and evolve a recently developed strategy for a significant ramp-up in the fundraising activity of Wells Cathedral School Foundation, initially focused on funding bursaries and small-scale estate developments. Main duties and responsibilities
- Implement our strategy for fundraising consistent with best practice and the objectives of the Foundation.

- Oversee the maintenance and development of the Toucan Tech CRM and community website. Grow and maintain a database of all volunteers, donors and donor prospects that supports the engagement and fundraising strategy.
- Cultivate and continue to grow a portfolio of potential major donor prospects and deliver significant gifts from individuals, organisations and businesses.
- Strengthen existing donor networks and develop further networks.

Your responsibilities as the Head of Communications:
- Help position Power for Democracies as the "go to" evidence-based research and evaluation entity in the pro-democracy field with relevant stakeholders, donor groups, networks, institutions, and civil society spaces.
- Recruit and build the small communications team in charge of Power for Democracies’ communication and distribution formats, channels, and tools.

The Alumni Relations and Regular Giving programme aims to build relationships that inspire alumni, colleagues and friends to support Goldsmiths through donations or volunteering. About the Role
This role will work closely with the Head of Alumni Relations and Regular Giving to implement the individual giving and legacy fundraising programme that will increase funds raised to support education at Goldsmiths.
The postholder will responsible for the project management of and writing copy for individual giving and legacy fundraising campaigns, and donor stewardship communications, via email, web, social media, and/or direct mail.

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma. The new UK government’s Children’s Wellbeing Bill outlined in the King’s Speech, includes a requirement for free school breakfast clubs in every English primary school. JOB PURPOSE

Purpose

Responsibilities and areas of work
This important role will seek to develop our Major Donor income stream, seeking to grow
both numbers of donors and income raised. At CBM, a Major Donor is considered to be
one who has the capacity to give £5,000+ per year and who relishes the opportunity to
have one-to-one, personalised interactions with CBM.
This role will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well as help to develop existing
relationships with our generous supporters.
Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Leadership Team, other team
members and (occasionally) external consultants, this role focusses on building and
consolidating our major donor portfolio, so increasing our donor base and thus our in-year
and pledged income.
Main Goal:
To successfully steward a portfolio of new and existing major donors through tailored
approaches, so securing repeat and multi-year gifts to achieve agreed income targets and
KPIs.
This will be achieved through:
1. New business acquisition:
a) Analysing our current supporter base to build a prospect list, using our database
(Salesforce) and external databases, to assess the potential to upgrade active,
lapsed and prospective major donors.
b) Researching, identifying and securing major donor prospects, through the
identification of high-net-worth individuals who may have an interest in CBM’s work,
and through proactive and effective networking, including working with our Trustees,
Patrons and Ambassadors.
c) Identifying next steps and determining tactics for engagement, including 1:1
working, giving group presentations and delivering pitches at various levels, and
leading on their facilitation.
d) Attending networking opportunities in Cambridge, London and the surrounding
areas to represent CBM and to engage potential major donors in our work
2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored cultivation and stewardship plans, so that
individuals are engaged in a bespoke manner, ensuring that they feel a part of CBM
and that their generosity is recognised, through regular reporting, interactions,
updates and tailored approaches.
b) Developing donor-centric applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post,
email, phone and face-to-face) that are driven by insight on donors’ individual needs
and preferences and are tailored to their interests and requirements, following up as
required.
c) Reporting to donors in both formal and informal ways, as appropriate, to ensure
they are kept up to date with CBM, the impact of their grant and project
developments.
d) Hosting and facilitating face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors,
including organising dates, venues and agendas/ talking points, and creating
Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes as far as possible.
e) Promoting the importance of legacies, and legacy income, where appropriate, and
to steward those who have pledged.
f) Organising and managing the successful delivery of at least one Major Donor Event
annually (cultivation, stewardship, thanking etc), to ensure positive relations and
potential new business, in collaboration with our Fundraising and Programme
colleagues.
g) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Officer on the
identification, stewardship and cultivation of potential corporate partners.
3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Crafting compelling proposals and reports that meet the bespoke needs of major
donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues,
within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of major
donor proposals / reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications
Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy Team to develop new projects/ themes/ appeals for
potential projects.
d) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy on collating information and providing reports
to Foundation donors as needed.
4. Planning and Budgeting
a) Contributing to the development of an Income Generation and Engagement
strategy, led by the Director of Fundraising, Impact & Communications.
b) Closely monitoring income and expenditure, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy
where necessary, and contributing to the creation of yearly fundraising budgets and
plans and quarterly Board Reports.
c) Establishing, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, milestones

PURPOSE OF JOB

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 FTE depending on experience
Hours: Full time: 37.5 hours pw (would consider part time, min 30 hours pw)

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? We’re looking for a proactive, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to help develop and grow our networks of supporters. You will have a good knowledge of the area and connections with local areas across the South West of England and Wales.
You will be a warm and friendly communicator and ideally have experience of working in a relationship fundraising role, as well as recruiting and stewarding new supporters and volunteers and cultivating existing relationships through events and community outreach activity.
We are looking for an individual who has a genuine drive and innovative approach to fundraising engagement, to deliver results. You will have exceptional communication skills which will enable you to thrive in a busy, fast paced team, whilst also being able to work on your own to go that extra mile to make the difference in your local community.
Reporting to the Community and events fundraising manager, you will be responsible for giving our amazing supporters the best possible experience of fundraising for us, creating and maintaining valuable lifetime relationships.
This role will involve travel when necessary to our Head Office in Peterborough, and events across the UK (which may involve evenings and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given), support individual fundraising activity, or to explore new opportunities and meet with your wider team. You must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
