Join Our Team as a Virtual Challenges Manager!

After a significant period of growth, Social AF is excited to announce an opportunity for a Virtual Challenges Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing relationships with our charity partners and overseeing the performance and development of our moderators. MAIN PURPOSE OF POST

• To work with the CEO and senior leadership team to create and implement the fundraising and engagement strategy for the organisation.
• To report to the CEO and Board of Trustees on the progress and delivery of the aims at regular intervals to be agreed with the CEO and to the Board at the agreed and planned Board meetings.

Job Purpose

As the Growth & Connection Coordinator you will lead the coordination of our flagship weekend event, a contemporary Rites of Passage Adventure (ROPA) for teenage boys. You will also support our local groups in delivering mentoring circles, day intensives and activity sessions. This role includes administrative, communication, and outreach responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of our programmes and effective engagement with young people, parents and carers, mentors, youth services, and other stakeholders.

One of our biggest challenges is recruiting teenage boys to our programmes. While we don’t expect all candidates to have experience in recruiting young people to youth programmes, we do expect you to feel confident and proactive about tackling this challenge.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely and with and reporting directly to our CEO, your responsibilities will be to:

• Lead the coordination of ROPA and support local groups, ensuring logistics and planning are effectively managed while maintaining accurate records and administrative documentation.

• Develop proactive strategies for the recruitment of teenage boys, building on what we’ve learnt, and delivering on those strategies.

• Liaising with parents, carers, youth services as well as young people. 

• Coordinate mentor support processes, including the recruitment and onboarding of new mentors and completing safeguarding procedures such as DBS checks.

• Ensure key policies and procedures are upheld.

• Assist in measuring and demonstrating programme impact.

• Contribute to communications, including social media, newsletters, and updates.

• Support fundraising initiatives, including drafting proposals and utilising our impact data.

Person Specification

This role is both strategic and hands-on, suited for someone with a proactive and resourceful attitude while maintaining a thoughtful and empathetic approach to working with people. Although we anticipate that this role would be suited to someone with experience working with young people, in the youth sector or in the charity and voluntary sector, we are looking for the right person and are open to applications from everyone.

Work Setup & Time Commitment

• Fully remote role – candidates must have their own computer and working setup.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grants Fundraiser with a proven track record of success, to secure vital funding for our services for individuals with a learning disability and autistic people. You will play a central role in our charity, responsible for driving forward one of our key income streams.

The Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Manager will develop a robust pipeline of potential funders and devise a plan to achieve our annual income target of £225,000 from repeat and new funders.  You will research and apply to charitable trusts for grants of varying sizes, including multi-year funding, while maintaining excellent stewardship to encourage repeat donations. 

It’s an exciting time to join us, with innovative services, outcomes monitoring data, case studies, photos and testimonials and some cases for support already drafted.  Whilst our priority is to raise funds for our existing services, we have plans for new service developments which will appeal to charitable trusts, corporate foundations and institutional donors (TNLCF).  We have a broad appeal with a range of diverse services from playschemes, social groups for autistic teenagers, arts and drama sessions, family support, employability and independent living skills.

You will collaborate closely with the CEO, Head of Finance and Operations and Service Managers to align fundraising efforts with organisational goals and future plans.  You will work alongside the Marketing Manager to gather materials to enhance our applications.

Key Responsibilities

· To increase LinkAble’s income secured from Trusts and Foundations by developing a ‘Case for Support’ for each of our core projects.

· To co-ordinate a ‘database’ of current grant funders, with their history of support and project reporting deadlines.

The role of Supporter Care Officer is a key post in the organisation working to maximise CLAPA’s income from the community. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Recruit and induct new volunteers to support our services, working with the Services Director and the Training & Outreach Lead.  Work with the service managers to review training and update training modules.

-Research and write volunteer policies and procedures, including risk assessments.
