As our Programme Coordinator, you’ll play a varied and exciting role in helping us drive this change.

This is a chance to blend a love of delivering content to audiences via virtual and in person events with an enthusiasm for working with large groups of young people, schools and university partners. As well as this, you’ll have a flair for providing fantastic customer service with great project management, professional communication and organisation skills to juggle multiple events and programmes simultaneously. In the role, you’ll support our Head of Programmes in the delivery of our transformative programmes – Elephant Access and Meta Method. Programme Coordinators are at the heart of our programme delivery, taking an important role in  managing our online and in-person activities including webinars, school visits, and larger events such as our annual Launch, Spring Conference, and Summer Academy events. They also support our evaluation including data gathering and analysis, and lead our social media strategy and PR.

Salary: £23,000- £26,000 depending on experience

Contract: Permanent (subject to a successful probation review at 3 months)

Hours: Full-time only (we are not able to offer job share or compressed hours)

Benefits: 28 days holiday plus 3 days at Christmas and bank holidays, 5% pension contribution, hybrid working, training & development opportunities

Location: Midlands/Yorkshire- Hybrid. Travel to partner schools in the Midlands & Yorkshire 2-3 times a week depending on business need (you must be able to drive), and occasional travel to London

You will need a suitable home working space. We will provide your equipment including furniture if required. You need to live in The Midlands or Yorkshire. Frequent organisational travel is expected with expenses paid.

Essential Skills and Experience

Desirable Skills and Experience

The most important things to us are: Your passion for our mission, your friendly can-do attitude, ability to connect with others (especially young people), excellent verbal and written communication, initiative, working hard and being organised. The below skills are desirable, but we will provide the right training for the right candidate if you don’t have some of the skills below.

· Experience in managing social media, web CMS or digital apps.

· Excellent IT skills (including Microsoft Suite, Zoom, Canva, and social media).

· Data analysis and presentation.

· Project management, particularly events planning and logistics and/or digital projects.

· Knowledge of UK state education and Higher Education Sector, including widening participation and access schemes.

· Experience working in the education sector (charity programmes, schools, universities).

· Understanding of the university applications cycle and/or the advice & guidance required by schools and students to access higher education.

· Knowledge of safeguarding practices for young people.

· Understanding of the barriers faced by state-educated students in accessing more selective universities.

Job Title: Senior Media and Communications Officer

Contract: Fixed Term Maternity Cover until 1st April 2026

Salary: £32,000 FTE

Working Hours: 35 Hours per week

Location: Remote

About the Role

As the Senior Media & Communications Officer, you’ll lead on storytelling, media engagement and campaigns that support parents through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.

You will:

· Spot and jump on media opportunities: Monitor news and trends, draft timely and impactful responses to the big issues affecting parents and maternity services in collaboration with NCT’s subject experts.

· Creative storytelling: Source inspiring stories from parents, volunteers and practitioners and showcase how our services empower and support people through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

· Lead on PR campaigns to drive awareness of our charity’s work: Develop communication plans to grow awareness of NCT’s support, services, and campaigns, leading on the consumer PR for charity fundraising moments, such as NCT’s Winter Appeal, and in line with our For Every Parent strategy.

· Manage media relationships: Cultivate connections with journalists, ensuring NCT remains a trusted source for expert comment on maternity and parenting issues.

As Senior Media and Communications Officer, you will be a part of NCT’s Communications and Campaigns team, which brings together NCT’s campaigning, policy, media, parent and pregnancy information as well as our internal engagement team. You’ll also work collaboratively across the charity, including with subject matter experts including NCT Practitioners and our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead, as well as being the day-to-day point of contact with NCT’s PR Agency.

The job will involve some out-of-hours work including providing an effective on-call service for the media. There may also be occasional travel a few times a year.

We are Zarach, the children’s bed charity, and we’re on a mission to end child bed poverty, giving children the opportunity to engage at school and break the cycle of poverty. 

In our nearly seven years as a registered charity, we’ve captured the hearts and attention of many individuals, community groups, businesses and funders who want to support us on our mission. With our wonderful Finance Officer heading off to pastures new, we’re now on the lookout for someone new to come and join us. 

As our ideal candidate you’ll live in proximity to our Leeds warehouse, meaning you can travel regularly to meet with the team. You’ll be someone who has good experience of the broad range of day-to-day financial admin and management activities that working in a small team brings and someone who enjoys the busyness and variety of this.

Alongside your finance-related skills and experience, we’ll be looking to see that you have a genuine care for our mission and, as such, are self-motivated to do a great job and be a values-led member of our team.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of financial admin and management in the charity sector, due to some of the specialities that come with this, such as Gift Aid claims and restricted and unrestricted funds control. But charity experience is not essential if you can demonstrate an appetite and track record for continual learning and development across your working life to date.

As the Salesforce Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in managing and developing the organisation's Salesforce platform to support the growth of their volunteer management system, their new portal, and future fundraising initiatives.

Role Overview:

You'll work with external partners and internal teams to customise, maintain, and enhance the Salesforce CRM system, helping the organisation reach its full potential. You'll ensure smooth operations, oversee system developments, and provide training and support to users. Key Responsibilities:

• Support CRM development projects with external Salesforce partners, ensuring timely delivery.

• Assist in implementing new Salesforce features, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements.

About You:

You're a Salesforce professional with a passion for using technology to drive change. Essential Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in Salesforce Administration.
• Proficient in Salesforce configuration, customisation, and administration.
• Experience with Salesforce NPSP and Experience Cloud (advantageous).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in training and supporting a diverse range of users.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
