The Smart Works service is delivered in London, Manchester, Stockport, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle, Reading and Leeds. Over the past ten years, Smart Works has helped over 35,000 women. It is our mission that any woman who needs our service should be able to find her way to a Smart Works centre.
In April 2022, Smart Works launched a Three-Year Plan that will see the charity double the number of women helped annually from 5,000 to 10,000 women a year. We are on track to achieve this by expanding the reach of our existing centres and opening new centres in areas of need including Bristol; set to open in early 2025.
This role
As Smart Works moves into our next strategy phase, we are looking to strengthen our commitment to being led by data and using technology to enhance the service we provide. The Database Manager will play a key role in guiding this mission.
Smart Works is looking for an experienced and motivated database manager passionate about using data for good. This role will be crucial in managing and developing Smart Works' CRM systems that underpin the running of our key functions, ensuring data integrity, providing support to all users across the UK and enabling strong outcomes for the women we support. The post holder’s work will be essential in allowing staff across the charity to use data to improve our operations and outcomes for the women we support as we enter our new strategy cycle.
You will also play an important role in training and supporting staff across all Smart Works locations to use these systems, enabling them to harness the power of data in their day-to-day work. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff will be vital to the success of this role.
The role will be a hybrid position, based out of one our UK Smart Works centres. but the role will work across Smart Works, providing support and maintaining digital infrastructure across all the teams.
There may be occasional evening and weekend work as the successful candidate will be part of the wider centre team, supporting with networking and key events support. The post holder, if not based in London, will also be required to travel into London on occasion for training and team meetings.

This is a new role at the DEC and developed as a key part of the DEC’s 2024-2029 strategy. The DEC has a wide range of established relationships with trusts and foundations, many of which give 6- and 7-figure sums to DEC appeals. The Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for providing excellent stewardship to our portfolio of trusts and foundations. In addition, the role will also be responsible for cultivating new relationships for the DEC through thorough research, and through the prospect development cycle, to raise money for DEC appeals. In addition to appeal fundraising, the Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for delivering on a new core cost fundraising strategy, in close partnership with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships.

Overall purpose
This is a key role that will work closely with the Senior Communications Manager, Head of Public Engagement and Senior Digital Marketing Manager.

Job Purpose
To manage the site of Ada’s London Victoria campus, 1 Sutherland Street, so that it is operating safely and efficiently. This involves liaising with contractors and suppliers to plan, coordinate and implement the inspection, maintenance and repair of the internal and external fabric of the building and any machinery or plant within the building. To be responsible for the Health and Safety compliance of the site and oversee the security of the premises to provide a safe and secure environment for all learners, staff and visitors.
Main duties and responsibilities
Facilities management
- Manage the opening and closing of the College for normal hours of operation
- For out of hours College events or venue hire, arrange for the opening and closing of the building and necessary services (heating, cleaning, equipment etc). Liaise with the wider premises team for cover arrangements for these out of hours events.
- Be the principal registered Key Holder, attend call outs and take appropriate action, put in place arrangements for dealing with emergencies which occur outside normal working hours.
- Work with the Head of Premises, and wider premises team, to put in place cost effective facilities management and cleaning contracts for the building and manage those contracts on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate and implement routine inspections, repairs, redecoration/refurbishments of the College building, equipment and external environment, including annual, monthly, weekly and daily inspections.
- Investigate and report site issues promptly, providing possible solutions, obtaining quotes and initiating repair / maintenance
- Manage and supervise any building contractors undertaking work on the College’s premises. Ensure that any issues with contractors are promptly followed up.
- Work with the appropriate contractors to operate and maintain the building’s systems (e.g. heating and ventilation systems) to an effective standard
- Carry out minor repairs and practical jobs where this is within your expertise
- Plan and manage all room preparation requests for College events such as assemblies, meetings, industry projects/speakers and events and ensure that they are actioned in a timely manner.
- Establish and implement a key identification and management system for access to all College areas.

BCYP is seeking a seasoned Communications and Marketing Officer who will design and implement a strategy to boost BCYP’s brand and support the efforts of clinicians and researchers’ projects. The candidate will also support the fundraising team through grassroots event management and the adoption of a small portfolio of donors.
The applicant will have excellent communication skills able to translate the stakeholders’ (Trustees/clinicians/donors/young people) needs and broadcast them to the community. They must have hands-on skills creating and designing digital, print, and social media and the confidence to put their signature on a strong communications and marketing strategy that will maximize external partnerships.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident self-starter to bring their vision and expertise into play to shape the look and feel of BCYP’s image, and to coalesce BCYP’s services to offer a holistic experience for our community.
