Main Purpose and Scope of the job

To support the Head of People with the provision of consistent and reliable Human Resources support in relation to policies and practices and with the practical application of employment law.

You will actively engage with managers to bring employee relation issues to resolution and proactively monitor trends and themes across the organisation. and will play a key part in the employee lifecycle with emphasis on recruitment processes, attraction and retention.

​You will provide coaching and support to line managers in relation to all aspects of early or informal employee relations including but not limited to; Probation, performance management and capability processes, grievance and disciplinary investigations. You will Actively provide guidance to staff and managers through employee relation processes seeking early resolutions and restorative conversations in the first instance. Actively take the lead on formal employee relation case work such as grievances, suspensions, investigations and present at hearings.

Reporting and monitoring of sickness/absence levels, advising line managers to ensure a consistent approach is taken to reduce absenteeism.  Oversee all Stage 1,2 and 3 absence meetings and OH reports where required.

Be integral to all organisational change developments including recommendations for change, structure and job design.  Ensure organisational change is managed sensitively and in line with policy and employment law. Assist on organisational restructures and TUPE regulations in times of expansion and growth.

Actively contribute to policy development in line with employment law and best practice.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity exists to support the incredible work of The Royal Marsden Hospital in providing world-leading cancer treatment and care. The Role
As the Head of Individual Giving, you will lead a team of 7 (with headcount currently split between acquisition and retention) in delivering innovative strategies to accelerate income growth. The team are passionate, keen and committed - your ability to coach, mentor, and inspire will be key to helping them thrive and improve processes.

You will need to be a direct marketing specialist with a proven track record in driving acquisition strategies, working at pace, and adapting to change accordingly. Acquisition will be a significant focus over the coming years, with investment to support this. The charity has exciting plans to grow and diversify the supporter base, as well as developing audience first supporter journeys, providing donors with the best possible experience.

We have an exciting opportunity for an amazing fundraiser to join our Church and Christian Engagement team. Person specification

• Experience in hands-on creation of video assets, especially for social channels

• Practical photography and shooting (DSLR / phone / similar) skills preferable.

• Experience working with and commissioning external video production.

In this senior management role, you will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership of the membership team, ensuring that members have a positive and engaging experience, that their voices and interests are heard within RCEW, and their interests represented in decision-making.

You will lead on supporting our members to work within the framework of the Rape Crisis National Service Standards (2024), producing and updating guidance and information as necessary and facilitate the sharing of best practice through peer support spaces.

The purpose of the post is to work with a wide range of partners and volunteers to build active, more connected and resilient communities within the city of Salford. This includes recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and VCSE organisations to engage in civil contingencies and humanitarian responses within the city, and more broadly supporting the development of our volunteering work across multiple services.

Salford CVS delivers a range of projects and services that build resilient communities and encourage local people to be active citizens.

The postholder will primarily work on our Volunteering and Emergency Response activity, including the development and delivery of Salford CVS’s own volunteering programmes. We anticipate that, while it will fluctuate throughout the year, the postholder will spend roughly half their time on Emergency Response related work, and half their time on volunteering related work (although both areas overlap).
