As Trusts and Statutory Executive, you will work alongside a supportive team including the Fundraising Manager and Senior Fundraising Manager, and you will be overseen by the Head of Trusts and Statutory. You will support the team with key stakeholders such as Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Garfield Weston, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Comic Relief, and Arts Council England.

This is an excellent role where you’ll manage your own portfolio of trusts and statutory supporters at 4-5 figure level and given exposure to manage 6 figure accounts. You’ll be a key member in the team in cultivating high-value relationships to generate income for various programmes to support the National Literacy Trust.

As Trusts and Statutory Executive, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of trust and statutory funders at 4-5 figure level supporting a team target of £6m
• Research, identify and cultivate new charitable trust grant funders to build the funding pipeline
• Manage and grow an existing pipeline of charitable trusts, with a focus on increasing grant giving
• Lead on small and medium-value funding applications and reapplications across NLT’s programmes

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Fundraising experience in trusts, corporate, community development, education or health charity
• Knowledge of fundraising principles, and the relationship between prospecting, cultivation, application and stewardship to secure regular and multi-annual grants

The Role

As Trust Fundraising Manager you will secure new funding opportunities and work on a pool of warm and cold charitable Trusts with a focus on the £10,000 to £40,000 range.  The role involves researching and qualifying prospects, submitting high quality funding applications and stewarding existing donors effectively. It will also involve managing reporting deadlines and matching potential donors to projects needing to be fundraised for, collaborating with our Service Teams. 

You will prepare applications and reports to trusts and foundations, in line with funder deadlines, keeping in touch with donors and prospects via phone, virtually and face to face. You will match potential donors with projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach.

The person

You will have experience of: Securing funding from Trusts with excellent writing and presentation skills; Solid prospect research skills to identify new funding opportunities and maintain a forward pipeline of applications; Of working collaboratively with Service Teams to package and cost project areas; Stewardship of warm funders including preparing donor reports, reviewing financial reports and gathering case studies. You will also have strong time management skills with ability to manage and prioritise your workload and ideally experience of using a CRM for Trust Fundraising.

Overall purpose

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for developing, leading and implementing key aspects of our communications and engagement strategy. Your focus will be to maintain our high reputation and build engagement with key audiences – principally target public audiences, corporate partners, funders and supporters, volunteers, clients, and staff. 

Bridging the gap between senior leadership and delivery, you will be a confident and strategic thinker, but remain excited by the challenge of getting stuck in. You will be comfortable supporting colleagues to deliver activity as well as working independently on your own projects. You will have the knowledge and experience to ensure that the right policies, frameworks and plans are in place for our small team to achieve ambitious plans.

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for campaigns, PR, content and storytelling, brand and creative, and plays an integral role in internal communications. They also support other external engagement activities, such as digital marketing campaigns, corporate partner acquisition and retention, and public fundraising.

Strong copywriting is essential for this role. You will be able to write, edit, and tailor content for different audiences, and publish it across various channels, including the website, social media, emails, and marketing materials. 

You will enjoy variety. Your day could involve operational planning, developing a new campaign, briefing freelancers and agencies, finding compelling stories, creating our Impact Report, speaking with journalists, working on internal communications, or drafting social media posts.

The successful candidate will have strong emotional intelligence, relationship building and negotiation skills. They will be collaborative and creative, drive projects forward, work effectively alongside the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and bring people together across the organisation. This is an urgent requirement, so we are looking for a suitable candidate who can start immediately until the end of March 2025. The role will be office based for the first month but flexible thereafter. This is important as you will need to work initially with the Head of department to get yourself up to speed.

We are seeking a creative, dynamic and experienced fundraising professional to lead and expand our fundraising efforts. The Director of Fundraising is a key role and will be responsible for oversight and implementation of our fundraising strategy. This role requires an experienced senior leader with an established track record of growing existing revenue streams, diversifying income, and leading and empowering high-performing teams.

Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT) is led by our CEO who is supported by a Senior Leadership Team comprising this role alongside the Director of Research, Information & Support, and Director of Finance & Resources. An Operational Management Group is comprised of function managers reporting to SLT, and responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation.

Our Safeguarding Team has a great opportunity for you to join them as a Safeguarding Advisor, where you can contribute to making the Trust a safeguarding first organisation that is a safe and supportive place for young people to be part of.

You will provide safeguarding support and advice to our frontline colleagues, volunteers and partners working with children and young people aged 11-30 participating in Prince's Trust programmes and activities.

Your primary focus will be on case management of safeguarding referrals for young people across the four nations of the UK. You will be responsible for triaging safeguarding concerns, managing a caseload and being part of a duty rota across the Safeguarding Team. You will contribute to the safeguarding data and performance ensuring that we demonstrate the impact of our work. You will also train and support colleagues locally and across the organisation, as well as being supported in your own work and professional development so that you can make a real difference in the lives of the young people at the Prince’s Trust.

Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser

About the role:

We are looking to appoint an experienced fundraiser to secure new corporate partnerships to help fund the growth of our care services, and to build relationships with companies to help them achieve their CSR goals.

Reporting to the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager. You will be part of a team to drive Rainbow Trust’s Corporate income, building and maintaining the pipeline through effective networking, prospecting, and stewardship. You will be responsible for a varied and fulfilling portfolio of accounts to whom you will become a main contact and provide excellent corporate account management. Some accounts raising six figure sums, to whom you will become a main contact and provide excellent account management.

You will work collaboratively towards a ‘one team one target’ approach across the Fundraising and Engagement department and ensure that the use of technology is maximized and all processes are subject to continuous improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity to maintain a breadth of fundraising experience to position yourself for future fundraising roles with increased responsibility.

Key Details

Salary: £37,400 per annum with generous benefits including 25 days annual holiday plus public holidays, enhanced pension contribution, private medical health insurance, life assurance, and flexible/hybrid working.

Hours: 35 per week over 5 days (we would also consider applicants who wanted to do 4 days a week on a pro-rata basis) 

Contract type: This is a full-time role. Some flexibility on hours may be available.

Location: Hybrid working with office in central London and options for flexibility to work from home. The postholder will be expected to attend our central London office regularly.
