Age UK is offering an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Change Manager to support local Age UKs to maintain and enhance their strategic positioning, financial sustainability, and governance.
This role will provide support to both individual and groups of local Age UKs in relation to organisational development, significant strategic change, contingency planning, and crisis management. Support will need to be provided in a timely, focused, and impactful manner.
The Strategic Change Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders across the Network to develop and implement robust project plans, take a proactive approach to challenges, and ensure the continuity of high-quality services and support for older people.
The role will have responsibility for overseeing a small team of Network & Engagement Managers whose focus is to develop and maintain strong relationships with Chief Officers and Chairs of local Age UKs.

A little bit about the role
This role will be closing at 5pm on Friday 18 October.
The Delivery Officer coordinates meetings, events and training on behalf of the region. This includes sourcing of venues, coordinating and tracking attendance of participants, liaising with other teams to ensure the smooth running of events and where necessary, note-taking in meetings and acting as a point of contact for the team, participants and Consultant Social Workers.
This role has a high level of autonomy and the potential for significant skills development. Fundraising at BCYP
BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Until now, applications have largely been submitted by our Fundraising Manager- Trusts & Foundations, with occasional support from a freelance bid-writer. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Senior Operations manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Ops in ensuring we have efficient systems and processes across the organisation and providing support on contracting needs for the businesses. Occasionally we are asked to help support the operational development of our clients. The role will involve:
- Operations oversight (40%)
- To take a systematic view of all operations across the business and make sure we have the correct operational tools, systems and processes in place to support our internal needs as well as delivery of work to our clients. • Proven ability in managing and reporting the impact of charitable programmes to senior stakeholders and boards / committees.
• Deep understanding of the healthcare context, including political context, research and innovation environments, partnered with an understanding of the charity landscape.
• Strong strategic thinking with excellent leadership skills and experience in managing and developing others.
• Educated to at least degree level in a relevant field (such as biomedical science) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and synthesise technical medical information to specialists and non-specialists.
The ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in biomedical sciences or a related field, complemented by proven experience in enhancing Programme and Funding operations within a relevant organisation.
