Support Network Coordinator (South Central)
Salary: £27,343 per annum (FTE £34,178 per annum)
Location: Home based - Living within Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire or Oxfordshire
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
We are seeking an additional Support Network Coordinator to cover the South Central region (Beds, Berks, Bucks, Herts, Northants and Oxon).
Please note for this role it is essential that an applicant has an SCI or CES, and lives in the specified counties.
Each of the Support Network Coordinators have the responsibility for delivering, maintaining, and expanding the support services available to SCI people and their families in their region of the UK.
The post coordinates two vital parallel strands:
- In your region, to reach and support newly and long-term spinal cord injured people and their families:
- Developing a strong partnership with all available specialist services, charity and business partners; managing a dedicated team of volunteers as well as providing direct support to SCI people with more complex needs.
- Nationally, working to facilitate the link between SCI people and the network of services:
- Referring SCI people and their families to our clinical/health expert support teams and advocacy services; working with the Digital Engagement team to build on-line links to regional partners in your area; supporting fundraising, campaigns and communications.

About the opportunity:
The Tutor Communications Officer will work closely with the Communications and Media Manager to support all aspects of stakeholder communications and engagement at Action Tutoring. The role will require you to develop engaging and motivational content when communicating with our volunteer tutor network, schools and other stakeholders.
The Tutor Communications Officer will develop their data management and analytical skills, when evaluating the impact of communications and maintaining subscriber data. They will also develop detailed knowledge of our e-communications software (Campaign Monitor) to create precise and engaging email campaigns with accurate segmentation of recipients.
Comprehensive induction and training will be provided. Action Tutoring is committed to providing development opportunities for its staff and, as a growing charity, there are plenty of opportunities to take on new areas of responsibility.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Work with Communications and Engagement teams to create impactful communications that recruit new tutors, re-engage lapsed volunteers, and convert former tutors into long-term charity supporters.
- Maintain and analyse data across our e-communications platforms (ValueText, Campaign Monitor) and our volunteer database (Salesforce) to optimize audience targeting and engagement, while ensuring GDPR compliance and data cleanliness.
- Respond to tutors’ enquiries and feedback complaints as part of managing the communications’ team inbox, whilst supporting the wider team to do the same.
- Work with the Communications and Media Manager and other communications officer to produce interesting and relevant pupil and tutor case studies throughout the year. Collaborate with our Programme Team and your MarComms colleagues to source appropriate case studies from our partner schools and volunteer network.

Reports to: Communications and Media Manager
Salary: £25,235 per annum plus London Weighting of £2,271 per annum (if applicable)
Contract and hours: Permanent, full-time. We offer flexible hours with 9.30-4 as core hours. A
full working week is 37.5 hours.

4. Lead data analysis efforts and recruit/manage an agency for segmentation, benchmarking, and insights.
5. Drive an audience-focused culture, interpreting data to inform income generation, campaigning, and marketing.
6. Manage and improve data processes, automations, and digital technologies to enhance efficiency.

- Significant experience in supporter-focused roles, with a strong understanding of data analysis and CRMs
- Proven success in using supporter/customer data to enhance marketing or fundraising efforts
- Expertise in data management, reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to communicate complex insights clearly
- Highly analytical, data-driven mindset with excellent project management and Excel/Office 365 proficiency
