As a Church Engagement Co-ordinator, you will serve as a key liaison, building bridges and creating partnerships that empower churches to actively participate in GOD TV's global outreach. Your key responsibilities will include:  

• Working internally and externally to design, build, and deliver a Church/Ministry offer.
• Cultivating and strengthening relationships with churches and their congregations.
• Developing a church relationship framework.
• Building a network of partner churches.
• Creating a communication plan to keep churches updated and engaged.
• Ensuring all fundraising is in line with our charitable aims, fundraising approach and missional pillars (Souls, Israel, Revival).

The role

Are you passionate about supporting unpaid carers? Do you have experience in raising money through individual giving, corporate support, or major donors? Are you looking for a flexible part-time role? Here is your chance to join an incredible charity within a small fundraising team.

The post holder will work with the Fundraising Manager to work on diversifying the fundraising streams for Carers in Hertfordshire. They will support all aspects of fundraising with a focus on building our supporter category and donors either via individual giving, corporate support, or major donors, although support all around will be expected.

Diversifying our fundraising is an important part of our fundraising strategy. We want to increase our unrestricted income to provide flexibility and security for projects which otherwise may cease to exist, as well as raising awareness across the county.

The post-holder will work alongside the Community Fundraising Officer and Fundraising Manager when attending events, both raising awareness, having fun, and raising funding for the incredible work of the charity.

Depending on your fundraising experience. you will be responsible for proactively developing our supporter category in the forms of corporate support, or individual giving, or major donors. The aim is to diversify our income streams and generate ongoing, long-term support.

We are looking for a self-motivated, charismatic, people-person who has a demonstrable record of raising income and profile at a local level and who understands the value in building quality, long-term relationships with individuals, corporates, and major donors.

You will communicate and work with a variety of stakeholders ranging from our wonderful team members, external groups, individuals, local fundraisers, schools, and businesses.

Main duties

To develop, support and deliver Carers in Hertfordshire’s strategy for unrestricted Fundraising.

1. Develop an individual giving, corporate support, or major donor programme to feed into our Fundraising Strategy.
2. Depending on your skillset:
   • If you have a Corporate focus - Identify and engage with local businesses and organisations to fundraise on our behalf– with the aim of securing long-term charity partnerships
   • If you have an Individual Giving focus – develop our supporter category to encourage regular donations across our donor platforms
   • If you have a Major Donor focus – identify and develop relationships with key major giving stakeholders across the county to secure ongoing fundraising support
3. Ensure seamless stewardship for supporters regardless of donation size
4. Increase unrestricted income and support either through individual giving, major giving, or corporate supporters
5. To develop and manage your fundraising campaign with the support of the Fundraising Manager
6. To support the Fundraising Manager with wider fundraising activity including community events
7. Ensure all fundraising activity complies with charity legislation, Fundraising Standards Board/Fundraising Regulator guidelines, Carers in Hertfordshire’s policies and procedures and Health and Safety requirements - and advise our supporters, where appropriate by sharing best practice guidelines.

The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) is a charity that represents the voice of people living with dyslexia. We aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential. 

This role plays a crucial part in supporting and educating the dyslexic community by planning and delivering engaging, high-quality events and supporting fundraising.  The Events and Fundraising Officer will provide administration support to the fundraising team one day a week, and the remaining four days will be spent on BDA Events. These events provide vital information, resources, and networking opportunities for individuals, professionals, and organisations working with dyslexia.

A typical annual calendar of events might look like:

• 2 x virtual webinars per month

• 2-3 virtual conferences

• 1-2 in-person conferences

• 1-2 networking/reception/policy events

• 1 fundraising event

Location

This is a hybrid role, working one day a week from our office in Bracknell, and the remainder of the work from home. Travel to event locations and site visits (approximately 6-8 times per year) will be required, as well as some evening and weekend work for live events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Event Planning, Management and Administration

• Plan and oversee events from conception to completion, working closely with the Head of Fundraising.

• Work in close liaison with external event organisers in the development and delivery of events.

• Undertake operational aspects of events, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Data administration – ensure accurate event sign-up data, data recording on the CRM and ongoing administration of data.

• Delegate support – manage delegate communications and oversee post-event feedback collection.

• Virtual Event Management – serve as the technical lead for virtual events and rehearsals, utilising Zoom and other technical platforms.

• Ensure sponsors and exhibitors receive their full package and liaise with the Finance Department regarding contracts and fees.

• Manage events-related web pages on the BDA website.

Fundraising and Administration

• Provide administrative support one day a week across the Fundraising and Events team.

• Visits to the office as and when required to support with fundraising fulfilment and stock checks (likely to be two days per month)

• Maximise fundraising potential, particularly for free events, through strategic donation and sponsorship initiatives.

• Work closely with the Head of Fundraising to integrate fundraising efforts into event planning.

• Work with the Partnerships Manager to identify and approach potential sponsors and donors to support events.

• Monitor and report on the financial performance of fundraising initiatives linked to events.

Marketing and Promotion

• Collaborate with the Communications team to develop targeted event promotion strategies.

• Monitor marketing activity, analyse trends, and suggest improvements.

Stakeholder and Supplier Management

• Actively secure and follow up leads to secure bookings, including liaising with external agencies.

• Manage relationships with suppliers, external supporters, exhibitors, and sponsors.

• Ensure GDPR compliance when working with distribution lists.

Budgeting and Reporting

• Assist the Head of Fundraising in reaching organisational targets and managing budgets.

• Collate and analyse post-event data for feedback reports.

• Continually analyse our events offerings to ensure that our events are meeting the needs of our beneficiaries and/or generating fundraising income.

Person Specification

Essential

• Proven event management experience.

• Well organised with an ability to work under pressure and with competing priorities, using own initiative.

• Excellent understanding of Customer Relationship Management and Content Management Systems.

• High level of IT competency inc. Microsoft Office and Zoom. 

• Ability to proactively engage and influence a range of stakeholders at all  levels, trustees, volunteers, speakers, and external organisations.

Overview of the Head of Campaigns role and the team

Barnabas Aid is seeking a dynamic and strategic individual for the role of Head of Campaigns, a critical position within our International Outreach Department. Essential Requirements:

• Proven success in Individual Giving fundraising, with experience in acquisition and retention strategies.
• Extensive experience in direct marketing and income generation across various media, driving growth in donors and income streams (retention, cash, in-mem, lottery, legacy).
• Strong track record in securing income through lottery schemes, including managing canvassing agencies, Gift Aid, and gambling compliance.
• Data-driven, experienced in setting and reporting on KPIs to drive results.
• Effective leader within both their team and the wider organisation.
