Head Of Community Fundraising Jobs
The Trusts and Foundations Manager with be responsible for the ongoing management of the current successful high-value portfolio ranging from £2m commitments to £100k grants. In addition to ensuring the current portfolio is expertly stewarded with the aim of renewing and uplifting existing funders, the role will also be responsible for expanding the portfolio, focusing on both the national programme and the individual pathfinders projects in the longer term.
The Trusts and Foundations Manager with not have any direct line management reports in order to focus their time on fundraising but will work closely with The Manager will take a relationship-based approach to our funding partnership, working directly with grantors to create impactful propositions and proposals to support Thrive at Five’s strategic priorities. The successful applicant will develop and manage a detailed prospect pipeline managed through our database, to ensure we make the very best of opportunities, in addition to new partnerships being identified and scoped.
The role will involve collaboration and coordination across the organization, both to keep abreast of the latest information for grantors, but also to bring key stakeholders and experts into discussions and partnerships as and when necessary to further develop and strengthen relationships. colleagues, providing coaching, support and advice on the lower-level trust portfolio on a regular basis.
Hybrid (1-2 days per week in our London office and the rest of the week working from home – with occasional national travel to our local sites)
Our preference is a 5 day a week, 35 hours per week role. However, we will consider excellent candidates who are available 4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
- Work with the Head of Fundraising to further develop the long-term fundraising strategy working to maximise multi-year partnerships from like-minded funders
- Manage the annual planning processes for Trusts and Foundations, prioritising meaningful engagement and stewardship opportunities for new and existing funders
- Work closely with the Director of Finance on the annual budget and monthly forecasts
Portfolio Management
- Manage the existing portfolio of c. 25 active multi-year grants ranging from £100k-£2m, providing excellent and timely reporting in addition to creative and impactful ongoing stewardship. The existing funders’ interests will be split across our national programme and regional pathfinders (currently Stoke-on-Trent and Redcar and Cleveland, with discussions underway in Middlesborough and Scotland).
- Regularly communicate with those in the portfolio on a 1:1 basis, working with senior stakeholders directly as and when necessary to maximise opportunities including Trustees, Advisory Board Members, Senior Leadership Team (‘SLT’) and the CEO
- Organise and attend programme visits to pathfinder locations as and when necessary to strengthen partnerships with grantors, long term in addition to regular face to face funder meetings
- Support the delivery of cultivation and stewardship events for prospects, funders and connectors, cross the country
Prospect Research and Pipeline Management
- Manage a portfolio of c.30 warm and cold prospects, to create bespoke cultivation opportunities, engage in fact-finding discussions, and submit detailed concept notes and proposals as relationships develop. The aim is for the existing portfolio of active funders to double over the next two years through a rigorous prospect engagement programme
- Focus on constant movement and momentum within the trusts and foundations pipeline, continuously researching new prospects, and network mapping contacts across the organisations to explore new avenues of support for both the national programme and the pathfinder projects
- Proactively engage with the grant making community with a shared interested in early years development by attending sector specific events and opportunities, and in addition to those focused on pathfinder areas such as Scottish grantmakers or those focused on the Northwest of England.
Processes and Systems
- Champion data excellence across fundraising by utilising the Raiser Edge database, ensuring it is the up-to-date centralised data management system for all prospects, funders, events and communications
- Provide regular reports to the Head of Fundraising and SLT on movement within the grants pipeline including chances of success
- Support the management of the lower-level grants portfolio, taking a coaching approach and sharing your expertise widely
- Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure the team are confident in all fundraising processes and procedures including grant acceptance policy, due diligence policy, prospect research process, data protection policy and GDPR requirements

What you’ll get to do:
This role combines soliciting new prospect donors, donor management, partnership development, and data-driven campaign execution. The ideal candidate will be skilled in relationship building, fundraising strategy, and donor engagement, with a demonstrable passion for Travalyst’s mission of promoting sustainable travel and tourism.
Donor Management (~40%)
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of individual donors, corporate and institutional foundations to secure philanthropic and private funding and advance Travalyst’s mission.
- Identify, solicit, and nurture new donor prospects, ensuring continuous growth of the donor base.
- Strategise with senior leadership to retain and upgrade current donors, including personalised engagement for high-value supporters.

- Manage the CRM system, ensuring donor and partner data is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively utilised for engagement and reporting.
- Partner with the Operations team to ensure all donations, invoices and tracking is completed in a timely manner with follow up to donors as required.
- Oversee donor reporting, generating data insights and analytics to inform future strategies and donor retention efforts.
- Manage reconciliation processes and ensure development data and financial data are in alignment.
- Collaborate with the team on CRM system training and improvements and support data migration if necessary.
General Administration and Team Support (~10%)
- Provide administrative support to the Partnerships and Development team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing materials for donor presentations.

What skills we’re looking for:

Background: Muslim Charities Forum (MCF) is the UK network for British Muslim charities working for social good in the UK and internationally. Job Purpose: MCF has a small team, but our impact is far-reaching. The Sector and Business Development Lead has an important role in supporting members and the wider British Muslim charity sector, reporting and working directly with the CEO. The postholder will be responsible for managing change management, organisational development and capacity building support to the voluntary, community and third sector in 4 core areas including governance, organisational development, volunteering and fundraising. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and over-seeing advice and guidance to groups around these topics, ensuring that they are informed of the regulatory and legal information necessary, encouraging full compliance with legislation through a designed health-check framework. They will be supported by the wider MCF team as well as trusted external partners and specialists.

Main Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will:
• Support organisations by facilitating guidance on best practice across the 4 core areas of governance, organisational development, volunteering and fundraising.
• Identifying and delivering training and resources in the 4 core areas outlined with support from the wider MCF team.

The Role and the Team
Blue Light Card Foundation is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to design, develop, and manage integrated marketing strategies that drive new customer acquisition and enhance fundraising growth. As Marketing Manager, you’ll leverage your marketing expertise to create effective campaigns across multiple channels, optimise media planning, and ensure successful outcomes to support the Foundation's fundraising initiatives. Your contributions will directly impact the Foundation’s growth and sustainability, enabling us to further our mission.

What You’ll Do

Develop and manage the Foundation’s brand and creative strategy in conjunction with the CEO and Head of Fundraising

Oversee and administer marketing and communications for the Foundation, including annual plans, message development, campaigns, creative direction, target audiences, timelines, talking points, and other related issues

Spearhead the development, maintenance, and evaluation of marketing and communication materials, including annual reports, publications, videos, events, printed collateral, digital marketing, direct mailings, image development and design, research, and talking points

Manage the Foundation’s strategies to drive successful giving campaigns through corporate supporters, public annual giving vehicles, and special events, including mass participation or community fundraising events, to ensure fundraising goals are achieved

Develop, implement, and monitor project budgets, ensuring compliance with applicable fiscal restraints, analyse data, manage resources effectively, and adjust project budgets and activities to ensure strong fundraising results

Manage the Foundation website and social media channels, developing content and increasing followers to meet overall communication and marketing priorities

Oversee the communications for the Foundation’s donor stewardship programme for annual donors, first-time donors, and corporate partnerships

Manage in-person events, including fundraising events and brand awareness events.

Develop, implement, and monitor the communications plans for grant making, including post-award communications disseminating the impact of our work
What You’ll Bring

Extensive experience in marketing strategy development and execution, particularly in integrated, multi-channel campaigns focused on customer acquisition and fundraising

Proven track record in managing brand identity and creative strategy, including the development of marketing materials such as annual reports, publications, and digital content

Demonstrated experience with digital marketing techniques, including social media management, SEO, email marketing, and online analytics

Experience in planning, executing, and evaluating marketing campaigns, including both organic and paid media strategies

Strong background in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with an emphasis on meeting deadlines and budget constraints
-
Ability to evaluate and interpret data to assess campaign performance and make informed decisions for future initiatives

Understanding of mass fundraising strategies and corporate partnerships

Experience in building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including donors, corporate partners, and community organisations

It would also be beneficial if you have experience in developing public relations materials and managing media relationships and third-party agencies or vendors to execute marketing strategies effectively
