The Miscarriage Association is a national charity dedicated to providing support and information to anyone affected by the loss of a baby in pregnancy. We also raise awareness of the impact of loss, advocate for those affected and challenge the taboos that can make miscarriage a lonely as well as distressing experience.

We do this by offering staffed support services (telephone helpline, live chat, email and DM), a network of peer support groups, a comprehensive website and a range of highly regarded patient leaflets. We also provide training and resources for health professionals and employers, contribute to research and ensure the patient voice is heard by policy and decision-makers.

We are about to begin a new chapter in our 40-year history, with ambitious plans to ensure our trusted services and support reach even more people affected by this often-heartbreaking experience.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and talented digital marketer to join our small and friendly team to help us on this exciting journey. Working as part of our newly expanded communications team, you will support the development and implementation of the strategic communications and marketing strategy.

You will lead on developing our digital channels to drive engagement and awareness and help to build our online communities. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the charity’s website implementing brand guidelines to ensure a consistent approach to tone and content. You’ll also maximise Google Ad and SEO opportunities, working alongside a specialist agency, where necessary.

You’ll have previous experience of CRM systems and work closely with our fundraising team to develop supporter journeys and devise email and social media campaigns to help drive event sign-ups, donations and fundraising income.

Of course, you’ll also stay alert to emerging digital trends and be adept at analytics and reporting on the success of your campaigns.

We are looking for an enthuiastic and driven Head of Fundraising and Development who has a strong track record of success in strategic development and management of six-figure funding partnerships and relationship building.

You will develop and foster relationships with the aim of obtaining financial support for the sustainable development and growth of QEST. Stewarding existing funders and developing new business, the role also presents an opportunity over the long term, once funding is secured, to lead and build a fundraising team at a transformational time in QEST’s development and strategic direction.  There is currently a Fundraising Manager.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with the CEO and Fundraising Manager to devise, develop, and deliver a fundraising strategy for QEST to achieve diversification of income (restricted and unrestricted) for the long term with a particular focus on:

o Trusts & Foundations (strong track-record)

o Corporate funders

o Statutory funders

o Sponsors/commercial partners

o Major donors and philanthropy

• Reporting to the CEO and Board of Trustees you will secure and maintain sustainable income streams, in line with agreed targets which meet our charitable objectives, focusing on six-figure+ strategic partnerships where possible
•  Developing a communications strategy for fundraising with the CEO and Communications Manager; as well as creating fundraising promotional material for print, newsletters, websites and other media as required
• Establishing transparent and open reporting protocols, working closely with the CEO and Finance Manager to meet the needs of financial reporting, forecasting, management accounts and the Annual Review
• Working closely with the CEO, Fundraising Manager and Board members, partners and supporters to develop partnerships and advocate for QES
• Working with the Project Manager to create and organise fundraising-specific activities and events
• Identifying commercial opportunities, nurturing and converting potential prospects in support of specific activities, projects and overheads
• Cultivating, building, optimising and managing relationships with existing and new funders, sponsors, partners and supporters
• Writing and compiling regular reports to funders, sponsors and partners as required
• Providing on-going reports to the CEO and Board of Trustees on fundraising income, goals, and initiatives
• Promoting and complying with current legislation and ensure fundraising and partnerships meet the organisation’s policies on EDI; GDPR; Health & Safety and Safeguarding

We are working in partnership with Age UK Birmingham, who empower people aged 50+ to live with dignity, respect, good health and wellbeing, and can access services, support to meet their needs.  They support people across Birmingham, Sandwell and surrounding areas to enrich their lives and live independently.

They are seeking a new Head of Operations to join their senior management team, to build on the progress made by the charity over the last 5 years. 

The new Head of Operations will lead the charity’s forward-facing operations, building on current strengths and identifying new opportunities. Partnership working with national Age UK and local stakeholders particularly in Health and NHS settings across the West Midlands and neighbouring Age UKs will also be a key focus.

You will have:

• Proven multi team leadership experience and the ability to manage and motivate staff and volunteers

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the Charity’s operational services, ensuring that they contribute to improving the lives of older people in Birmingham, Sandwell and surrounding areas in accordance with the strategic aims of the organisation. 

You will ensure all services meet required financial and quality standards and comply with all contractual requirements. 

The post-holder will work with the Chief Executive in identifying new business and service development opportunities as well as developing existing services to maximise the Charity’s reach and income and will fulfil the role of deputy to the Chief Executive as required.

About the role 

As we embark on a new ten-year strategy, this is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a radical and ambitious approach to partnerships with businesses, building on the successful partnerships we have with Lloyds Banking Group, Specsavers, Taylor Wimpey, Berkeley Homes and many more. 

This pivotal role will lead the development of a corporate and commercial engagement strategy across Crisis, growing and deepening our portfolio of corporate partners, broadening their support for our organisation and our cause, and inspiring them to act within their businesses. The role also involves leading the continued development of our fundraising and partnerships outside of London, creating a national support network to end homelessness. 

While the role is directly responsible for strategic and corporate partnerships, the post holder will lead across the charity, ensuring a joined-up approach across retail, service delivery (including Crisis at Christmas), brand partnerships, venture philanthropy, investments, and innovation. 

The role also involves membership of the Brand, Marketing & Fundraising senior team and the organisation’s Senior Leadership Group, where it plays an important organisation-wide leadership role. Additional investment has recently been made in the team, and senior leadership and the Board have committed to supporting its success.

 As Communications Manager you will develop and deliver bilingual (Welsh/English) multi-channel communications plans. This will involve building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and collaborating with colleagues to plan, create and commission content and assets as well as preparing public narratives, press releases, media briefings, case studies and more. You will therefore be able to ensure data and information is presented in a public friendly and accessible way. You will develop relationships with key stakeholders and supporters in Wales and work to implement campaigns that will engage and inspire them to take action. You will also provide advice and guidance internally on the Welsh context, culture and language and in relation to your programmes.

For this high-profile role, you must have experience in multi-channel communications and sound knowledge of the media landscape in Wales. Importantly, you will have experience of working in a bilingual environment in Wales and be able to converse in the Welsh language.

Effective at developing and delivering on communications plans aimed at a variety of groups, you will be comfortable speaking to journalists and using digital and social media tools to engage, mobilise and influence key audiences. The Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF) is currently seeking a Head of Grants. Reporting to the Director of Programmes and Deputy CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the AHF’s core grant-funded programmes across the UK, including managing the four Development Managers for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, leading on assessment, monitoring and reporting against all grants awarded through these programmes, and participating in decision making around grant awards.

We are looking for a candidate able to demonstrate a breadth and depth of experience across the principal duties of this post. A strong track record of leadership within the heritage, social enterprise or social investment sectors and clear, relevant experience managing a staff team as well as multi-funder programmes with diverse strands of activity and reporting lines, is essential. The candidate must be a team player, with excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and communication skills. They should have experience of collaborative working with external partners and a strategic approach to prioritising workloads and problem solving. Candidates must have strong numeric and financial skills, excellent attention to detail and be a confident user of common IT system Office packages. We are looking for someone who will become a leader in our organisation, who is passionate, target orientated and, in particular, committed to achieving beneficial social outcomes through heritage.

The Centre has strengthened its funding base and broadened its income streams over the last three years. Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will possess significant experience of working in press/communications roles focused on UK politics/media institutions. You will have a proven and extensive track record of securing coverage in mainstream print and/or broadcast media, including generating stories from scratch. Your skill set will contain strong capabilities in analysing and understanding the motivations and agendas of media actors and the factors influencing them is required for this role. You will possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, with experience of translating complex topics into engaging content and tailoring messaging and copy to different audiences. You will also have experience of developing and delivering successful strategic communications plans based on audience insights which respect the target audience perspectives. A good understanding of the UK economic policy landscape would be a bonus to have however this is not essential for the role.

We are building a loyal and engaged community whose support will help us to fight brain tumours on all fronts; through research, support and campaigning, to save lives and improve quality of life.

We are looking for a high performing leader, who will be able to develop marketing strategies, manage a large marcomms team and offer strategic advice to senior management.

Who we’re looking for:

As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing The Brain Tumour Charity brand, devising new, and building on strong existing awareness campaigns and leading on capacity and marketing planning for integrated campaigns across The Charity.

You’ll help bring strategic thinking to the Marketing Team and be part of an Extended Leadership Team, balancing the needs of your own department with those of the wider mission and organisation whilst also supporting and developing your team.

You’ll oversee all branding activity to help us advance our mission and will be required to work closely with the fundraising and CX teams in The Charity to help deliver a sustainable model for funding and engagement.

You’ll be an experienced marketing professional with a good understanding of defining audience segmentations and building brand awareness, ideally within the health / research charity space.

Key accountabilities:

· Work with the Director of External Affairs and Strategy to  develop and lead marketing activity for all  parts of The Charity

· Manage design, copy and campaigns functions within the charity, including capacity planning and execution

· Build strong strategic relationships both inside and outside of the organisation, to form networks that will assist with the delivery our overall mission

· Develop and grow the brand with exciting new ideas that will meet our mission and raise our profile

· Work with the Extended Leadership Team to offer strategic advice to  contribute to the wider direction of The Charity

· Stay current with legal and regulatory frameworks, including; Data Protection legislation and the Code of Fundraising Practice, to ensure that all campaigns comply with current best practice in the industry

Experience:

· Experience in audience scoping and segmentation

· Successful history of delivering brand and high profile integrated campaigns

· Implementing processes to plan and scheduling marketing capacity

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Brand and marketing expert—someone who can lead the marketing team to deliver against the objectives of our organisational strategy

· Solid understanding of brand positioning and its implementation across an organisation. Ideally will have worked on a brand re-fresh

· Has the ability to take the initiative and approach agencies/trustees for pro-bono work and can delve in and lead projects when needed but delegates effectively

ACT (or Aldates Community Transformation Initiatives) is a welcoming community that includes many with lived experience of prison, street homelessness or addiction. Through street and prison outreach, community meals, mentoring and housing, we help people rebuild their lives after some of life’s toughest experiences.

Everything we do is designed to help people find belonging, purpose and hope. That looks different for each person. But most of our activities are rooted in relationship – whether that’s bacon butty breakfasts, small group sessions, back-to-work projects or our annual holiday.

ACT is a registered charity with the board of trustees drawn from within the church, including the Rector. Occasionally we invite other trustees with specific expertise. ACT has a total income of around £400,000 per annum, five salaried staff, and over 100 volunteers from within the church. ACT has a strong connection with St Aldates Church which supports the ministry with people, practical support and use of office and gathering spaces. The Head of Charity is key to leading the outreach work of St Aldates.

As a city centre church, working alongside people who are poor or marginalised is a key part of St Aldates’ ministry and is carried out largely through ACT.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Crucial to the success of ACT is the Head of Charity, who provides leadership and vision, ensures that its activities are underpinned by prayer, and that this work remains central to the ministry of St Aldates.

As the Head of Charity, you will drive the charity's mission and vision alongside the Board, ensuring our community receives the best possible support.

You will have a heart for those who have been marginalised, and experience of running a business or charity. Your role will be to lead staff and volunteers in the vision and manage funds and key projects. Partnering with others across other charities, key stakeholders and donors you will become a strong ambassador for the charity.

We are working in partnership with The Meath Epilepsy Charity, who are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Care, to oversee a large professional team and multi services that specialises in supporting and protecting people living with complex epilepsy and healthcare needs. 

The Interim Head of Care will oversee the care services, providing line management, guidance and advice in all areas of standards, legislation, CQC requirements, safeguarding and KLOEs, supporting the Registered Service Managers to deliver the best possible person-centred care in an enabling environment.

The Meath Epilepsy Charity, whose aim is to enhance the lives of people who have complex epilepsy and related disabilities, by ensuring they receive the support, expert care and encouragement required to build confidence, acquire new skills and maximise independence in their daily lives.

You will hold an appropriate Health & Social Care qualification, QCF Level 5, with experience of inspection processes with CQC and be able to ‘hit the ground running’.

You will demonstrate:

• Understanding of the fundamental standards and KLOEs, knowledge of the safeguarding regulations and required notifications to CQC.
• Ability to develop multiple teams to a high standard and achievement level, instilling a culture of performance and teamwork, and effective handling of employee relations issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders, including general public, trustees, professional bodies.
• Effective management of a number of services and multi disciplinary staff teams.
• Experience with Mental Capacity Act and DoLs and be able to guide and mentor managers through the process.
• Your ability to present KPI’s and adjust information sharing alongside trends and changes.

Ideally with 3 years in a senior management post in the care sector you will have previous experience in change management, the successful candidate will provide a strong management presence, developing people and practice, and establishing/modelling the positive culture of the company is fundamental to successfully carrying out this role.
