Purpose of the job/About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Challenge Events Team at Dementia UK, where you will help coordinate the programme of supporter-led (or ‘DIY’) challenge event activities, driving both participation and income for the organisation.
As the Challenge Events Executive (DIY), you will leverage your knowledge and insight to identify new partnerships and opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans that increase participant numbers and creating stewardship journeys that ensure excellent supporter experiences and maximise income. Additionally, you will be responsible for stewarding the ‘DIY’ challenge event supporters and will work to provide automated stewardship suitable for the masses as well as bespoke stewardship to the high value supporters.
To be successful in the site role, you will have experience of coordinating fundraising events or campaigns. You should possess hands-on experience utilising relationship databases, coupled with an understanding of effective marketing channels, particularly digital. Additionally, expertise in stewardship techniques will be crucial for increasing remittance rates and maximising average gifts. You should also have an understanding of how to use insights, data and market trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations.

Summary of role

Job description
1. Organisational leadership and people management
-
Work with the ED and SMT to ensure a values-led and positive organisational culture is reflected throughout ways of working, internal communication, policies and processes, and all team activities.

Line-manage Senior Management Team (SMT) members, operational roles and other roles as necessary (currently Head of Development, Head of Communications and Engagement, Head of Policy, Advocacy and Research, and Operations Manager).

Chair weekly SMT meetings.

Oversee human resources and people management processes, ensuring alignment with best practice in areas including recruitment, induction, performance management, safety, wellbeing, learning and development, and benefits.

Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 or QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, along with a strong understanding of dementia care, communication strategies, and relationship-centred care principles. A passion for person-centred care is essential, as is experience in healthcare, social care, or a related field with a focus on dementia care or RCC principles.
The candidate will also have leadership or coordination experience, particularly in facilitating team building, care-related workshops, and staff development. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
While understanding Jewish culture and familiarity with reflective practice and Schwartz Rounds are desirable, they are not essential.

The Maternal Mental Health Alliance’s (MMHA) Everyone’s Business campaign calls for all women throughout the UK who experience a perinatal mental health problem to receive the care and support they and their families need, wherever and whenever they need it. This role will play a key part in supporting MMHA’s successful campaign and helping drive change for women, babies and families affected by mental health problems during pregnancy and after birth.
Job purpose
- Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the MMHA campaigns.
- Contribute to researching and producing campaign materials.
- Maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders to support campaign objectives, including MMHA members, MPs, academics and lived experience champions.
- Support MMHA projects, contributing to the delivery of the MMHA’s strategy.
- Support the campaign team with administrative tasks, meetings and events.
Main responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Campaigns and Policy, Communications Manager, and senior leadership to develop and deliver campaigning activities to improve maternal mental health care in the UK.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.
STEP provides a bespoke employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that refugees face when preparing for, and ultimately finding work in the UK. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Literacy and Numeracy Tutor with language skills to join the STEP team, working remotely from home, providing literacy and numeracy classes to refugee clients across the UK. You will be supporting women in group online settings and sessions, delivering workshops, and building language and maths confidence and skills. We are ideally looking for someone with Arabic, Dari, Pashto and/or Tigrinya language skills.
You will support with interactive curriculum design and lesson planning, as well as level assessment of clients, in order to prepare women clients for competitive employment through improving language and maths skills. Trauma Treatment International (TTI) is a registered charity in the UK. Our focus and expertise is in providing evidence-based psychological treatment and support to victims of collective violence around the world. As well as providing treatment for victims directly, we also support organisations that are trauma-exposed through their work to uphold human rights, in order to mitigate the impact of trauma in the workforce.
