Our perfect candidate will have experience in trusts and foundations fundraising, managing a large budget and securing high value donations through identifying and building relationships. They will also have the confidence to implement and deliver on a new strategy. You’ll be a proactive self-starter with creative flair who has strong attention to detail and excellent research, relationship building and writing skills.
In this job, you’ll work closely with the Head of Partnerships & Philanthropy, Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, our Trustees and the wider organisation to identify engaging funding opportunities and remove barriers. You’ll also be leading the trusts officer (direct report) and the team assistant (non-direct report) to manage their own pipelines and small trust mailings.

We are looking for an ambitious, experienced and creative fundraising expert who is committed to building upon a strong programme of fundraising (events - third party, community and mass events) whilst bringing new initiatives in these channels to the charity to see income significantly grow. Reporting in the short term to the CEO, the post holder will work across multiple income streams event/mass/community, to develop innovative products and tools to engage our supporters and maximise and grow our income generation strategy and lifetime value of our supporters. You will develop high-level third-party relationships, events and community initiatives that lead to long-lasting relationships and long-term support for Dreams Come True.
This is a busy role, and you’ll work on various relationship fundraising income streams, supported by the Fundraising Executive. You will support the CEO to develop new challenge and mass fundraising events and lead on new initiatives to drive new income. You will lead in developing a strategy and operations plan for your key areas: Events, Community, DIY, and mass fundraising, as well as support the Fundraising Executive to develop new ways to recruit supporters and market events. The remit of this role will also include the recruitment and management of new volunteers, ensuring they undertake rewarding tasks that are both motivational for the volunteer and cost-effective for the charity.
This role is responsible for the line management of a Fundraising Executive, who you will help to develop in their role and ensure all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Driving income (in plan and new) generation; strategy; budget management
● Develop and deliver a strategy and ops plan that covers events, mass, third-party and community fundraising.
● Proven experience of recruiting, building, delivering, stewarding marathons/sky dives/bungees/treks that build income and new opportunities year to year.
● Support the Fundraising Executive to project manage an existing portfolio of events and introduce new products to grow the programme, incorporating digital/virtual fundraising.
● Review the portfolio of events and build new income generation opportunities for 25/26 and beyond to uplift income and grow supporter participation.
● Set, monitor, and report against budget figures, feeding into forecasting and monthly KPIs, and reporting any concerns to the Head of Fundraising.
● Lead the development and growth strategy for third-party relationships and high-value community supporters.
● Undertake regular reviews of activity including ROI analysis, report progress v budget, and implement actions as required.
● Lead on Identifying new opportunities for community grant funding including but not limited to supermarkets, round tables, rotary, masons, golf clubs, sports clubs, and schools.
● To provide excellent analysis, evaluation, and reporting on fundraising activity to the CEO, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for future activity.
General
- The ability to write and present compelling cases for support across a range of audiences.
- To keep up to date with the latest event trends and bring creative suggestions to the programme of work to continuously test and learn, engage new supporters and drive new income opportunities

- Grow our Events programme, developing plans to recruit, convert, retain, and develop donors to deliver income growth across the portfolio.
- Diversify the organisation's overall regional events portfolio by leading product development.

BIAS’s volunteer project, funded through a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, provides meaningful opportunities for people to get involved in BIAS’s work in a number of different ways. Volunteers can help out at our active ageing clubs, or work on administrative projects and other office-based tasks to help them build up their professional skills. In 2023 we also launched a successful ‘Be-A-Friend’ scheme, which aims to connect volunteers with older people who live on their own. Volunteers will drop in regularly for a cup of tea and a chat, providing friendship and companionship to those experiencing loneliness and isolation. BIAS’s volunteer project is currently based in Brent, but it will potentially be rolled out into Haringey in future years.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and empathetic person to take the lead on managing and growing our volunteer project. You will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including volunteer recruitment and induction, service-user relations, safeguarding and partnership development. You will also work with the Operations Manager on forward planning, delivery monitoring, promotion and reporting.
You will need to have strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, volunteers, service users and partners, along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and take initiative. Previous experience of working with volunteers or running community projects would be an asset. KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES
- Working with the Operations Manager to develop and deliver BIAS’s volunteer project.
- Line-managing the Befriending Coordinator and supervising the successful delivery and expansion of the Be-A-Friend scheme.
- Managing volunteer recruitment, interviewing candidates and matching them with appropriate roles.
- Supporting, developing and retaining our current team of volunteers.
- Managing volunteer training needs, ensuring that all necessary safeguarding, health-and-safety and data-protection requirements are met.
- Working closely with colleagues and external organisations to develop working partnerships and explore collaboration opportunities, e.g. intergenerational volunteering projects.
- Organising twice-yearly volunteer social events.
- Promoting and raising public awareness of both BIAS’s volunteering opportunities and the wider importance of volunteering.
- Evaluating and improving the volunteering process and experience.
- Maintaining clear records of volunteer work in BIAS’s client management system.
- Drafting reports and case studies to demonstrate the project’s progress and value.
- Maintaining an awareness of policy changes and best practices in volunteering.
These are the basic duties required of the Volunteer Manager. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. We will also offer training opportunities to support your career development.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This role will be based primarily in our offices in Willesden (Brent), with travel throughout the borough and potentially some future outreach work in Haringey borough. There may be some options for flexible working following probation (one to two days per week).

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. RSTMH is a global society of over 2,000 members and Fellows based in more than 100 countries, run by a small and efficient team. The Manager, Water Governance and Resilience includes, but is not limited to:
1. Policy research and analysis including:

- Explore new advocacy opportunities through expanded stakeholder engagement across private sector, youth and other networks.
3. Thought leadership for water security, water governance and climate finance

- Participate in knowledge exchange with fellow WaterAid staff in Canada and globally as part of internal working groups and communities of practice.
Requirements
To be successful, you’ll need:
- A postgraduate degree in environmental studies, climate change, or water governance.
- 5+ years’ experience in international assistance, policy analysis, and advocacy.
- Proven ability to engage with civil society, government agencies, and donors.
- Strong expertise in WASH, climate finance, and governance.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with experience in policy brief development.
- Willingness and ability to travel in Canada and internationally, sometimes in difficult environments (when travel is permitted).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across global teams.
- Demonstrated ability to write high quality briefing notes, policy briefs, and influencing plans in English.
Desirable:
- Experience working in low- and middle-income countries.
- Proficiency in French or other WaterAid working languages.

Pregnancy Sickness Support (PSS) is the only registered UK charity dedicated to improving care, treatment, and support for those affected by nausea and vomiting in pregnancy (NVP) and the severe form of the condition, Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG). Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing
- Develop and deliver a marketing strategy to support fundraising, paid-for services and general awareness-raising goals.
