The Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance (ARMA) exists to improve MSK services in the UK. We are a membership organisation which brings together patient, research and healthcare professional organisations working in MSK health. Working together as an alliance we have a powerful voice to influence policy and improve standards of care across the UK.
After an incredibly successful 8 years at the helm, our CEO Sue Brown will be stepping down at the end of May.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in healthcare policy and campaigning who is confident engaging senior stakeholders in the NHS, Government, arms-length bodies and industry. You should be a natural relationship builder who is comfortable working with member organisations.

Since 2004 the MS Therapy Centre (NW) (MSTC) has been supporting those with Multiple Sclerosis to lead more positive, enriched lives by providing complimentary therapies, Oxygen treatment, support and wellbeing services. It remains MS centric but also extends its reach to those with other neurological conditions, cancers and other specific conditions.
This is an exciting time to join our charity as we develop our new Centre based in Eccles alongside working on a strategy of cautious and sustained growth. We are looking for a dynamic and enterprising fundraiser to develop our work with trusts and foundations. They must be as passionate as we are about helping our members attain all that they can and wish to achieve.

Whilst working remotely you must be able to commute to the Centre on a regular basis. About the Role
This truly is an incredible opportunity for an ambitious and passionate fundraiser to build something special for Mama Cash. The role is integral in driving income growth from high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) and major donors across the US, UK, and Netherlands, developing a major gifts program, cultivate relationships with existing donors, and identify new prospects to help meet our annual fundraising targets.
Core tasks within the role will include:
- Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategy - Create and execute a strategy to identify, cultivate, and solicit high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) and major donors with an immediate focus on the US, UK and The Netherlands
- Prospecting and Donor Acquisition - Lead HNWI prospecting, generate new leads, and develop solicitation plans, with a strong focus on US-based donors.
- Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential major donors, ensuring long-term engagement.
- Income Growth and Budget Management - Secure and grow income from individual donors to meet annual fundraising targets and

The team and role overview
Reporting lines: Main point of contact will be the Chair of Board when agreeing Board minutes/other tasks but will regularly liaise directly with Ben Simms (CEO) and/or Saf Rahbour (COO) when agreeing Board minutes/other tasks.
2-4 consulting days per month, within the period of April 2025 to March 2026 taking into account the Consultant’s prior commitments. Please note there will be a degree of flexibility within this, with some weeks requiring more capacity, others much less. The timing of deliverables will always be agreed in advance with the Consultant.
The contract is for 36 days maximum over a 12-month period. The Consultant will receive a daily rate (£250-£350) dependent upon experience and qualifications. The consultant will invoice GHP on a monthly basis. Please note that this is non-negotiable and will cover all expenses apart from project-related travel and communication expenses. Where reasonable travel and communications expenses are incurred, the Consultant will be remunerated following the submission of timely and accurate receipts.

he role of the Operations Officer (Licensing and Compliance) is to support the coordination, development and delivery of licensing and compliance processes and procedures across the Award Association.
The Operations Officer (Licensing and Compliance) will assist the Senior Licensing and Compliance Manager and other members of the Operations Team to ensure that, through the consistent and proactive use of standards, policies and quality assurance processes, backed up by effective licensing, the intellectual property and good reputation of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is effectively protected.
The role will work closely with Operations Directors and Operations Managers to assist predominantly with compliance management for all Award Operators, including National Award Operators (NAOs), Operating Partners (OPs) and Independent Award Centres (IACs).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Operations Managers and the Senior Licensing and Compliance Manager with NAO, IAC and OP licence reviews/compliance checks including but not limited to providing administration support, drafting content where required and reviewing reports.

Income Generation & Financial Responsibility
Lead the development and execution of MOVE Against Cancer’s income generation strategy across a diverse range of funders, including trusts and foundations, business partnerships, individual and community fundraising. Monitor and report on the organisation’s financial performance, providing regular, accurate updates to the Trustees. Strategy
Lead the sustainable growth of MOVE Against Cancer, ensuring that the organisation adapts to the evolving landscape of cancer support and related sectors. Qualifications & Experience
Significant experience in growing and leading a charitable (or similar) organisation, with a proven track record of success in expanding reach and impact. Previous experience leading a charitable (or similar) organisation, including strategic planning, governance, and financial management. Demonstrated experience in leading and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including managing major donor relationships, grants, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising campaigns. In-depth knowledge and experience of cancer support services and the challenges faced by people living with and beyond cancer, including their families. About the role
The organisation is seeking a Head of Finance on a permanent, part-time basis. The Head of Finance is a newly created position as the organisation seeks to create a fully functioning internal finance department as they aim to scale-up operations over the coming years.
The Head of Finance will play a transformative role in evolving and overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. You will also work closely with the Co-Executive Directors, senior leadership team, board of trustees and newly created finance committee to support the organisation’s mission and objectives by providing financial insights and guidance.
Your responsibilities will include preparing financial statements, managing donor funds, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and grant requirements in the UK and internationally, as well as developing and leading a brand-new finance team.
