As our new Development and Marketing Officer, you’ll play a key role in expanding our reach and impact. • Developing and promoting digital giving solutions across parishes, including training and implementation support.
• Expanding online giving platforms to improve accessibility and donor engagement.

3. Donor Relationships and Stewardship

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key donors, including major benefactors, grant funders, and parish-level supporters.
• Implement donor stewardship strategies to retain and grow the donor base through regular communication, engagement opportunities, and recognition initiatives.
• Foster a culture of stewardship across the Diocese communicating the difference it makes.
• Provide regular updates and high-quality reports, driven by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), on fundraising performance and initiatives.

4. Parish Support and Capacity Building

• Equip parishes with tools, training, guidance, and hands-on support to run successful local fundraising initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops and support sessions for parish fundraising committees, helping them develop sustainable funding strategies.
• Support the promotion and coordination of Second Collections across the Diocese for key causes, ensuring that parishes are well-equipped with:
• Clear guidance on collection dates and processes.
• Good-quality promotional materials (posters, leaflets, digital assets) to help communicate the impact of these collections.
• Regular updates on fundraising results to encourage participation and engagement.

5. Compliance, Policy Development, and Governance

• Develop and implement fundraising policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
• Stay up to date with fundraising laws and best practices, ensuring all activities meet Charity Commission, GDPR, and financial regulations.
• Ensure that data protection regulations are upheld in all fundraising activities, particularly regarding donor records and CRM management.

6. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure that fundraising messages align with Diocesan values and the Mission Plan.
• Share compelling impact stories to inspire and encourage giving across the Diocese.

7. Meeting Attendance and Reporting

• Attend meetings of the Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee, providing updates on fundraising activities and seeking necessary approvals.
• Participate in parish meetings across the Diocese as required, offering fundraising guidance and support.
• Maintain a professional approach to both in-person and online meetings.

8. Ad Hoc Duties

• Carry out additional duties as requested by the line manager, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to emerging needs.

• Degree level education
• Proven track record of delivering significant fundraising results in the charity sector, with demonstrable experience of achieving and exceeding financial targets.

About the role: 

As Co-operative Development Support Officer you will support our Community Shares work including the Booster Fund and the Business Support for co-ops teams. This role involves providing essential support to co-operatives and community organisations, guiding them through the process of setting up co-ops, raising and managing community shares. You will also help track performance against funding priorities, contribute to effective funder reporting, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Take the lead on a caseload of enquiries from different organisations, triage their initial contact with us and help them progress successfully throughout their client journey with us 

• Support our Community Shares work and work with two of our support programmes including the Booster Fund and Business Support for co-ops, to enable applicants to progress. This will involve initial enquiries, reviewing expressions of interest and application data and identifying gaps in information submitted, tracking and updating application data on salesforce, identifying suitable support providers and assessors, issuing contract packages and monitoring for delivery of work 

• Build a working knowledge of both programmes’ funding criteria, guidance, timescales, and internal processes 

• Flag any technical queries on organisation’s eligibility or proposed plans and address these internally 

• Set up and carry out initial due diligence, following a defined process 

• Act as a point of contact with applicants and handle their queries promptly and effectively, with a growing understanding of internal and external pathways of support and the wider funding landscape for applicants to explore.

Programme Manager

The Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) is a partnership of the world's biggest public research funding agencies. The Associate Members have come together to promote research collaboration and to fund research programmes to address the prevention or treatment of chronic non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and mental health issues. GACD specifically focuses on research which will provide essential evidence on the most effective ways to prevent or manage disease in poorly resourced settings in low- and middle-income countries and to improve health equity in underserved indigenous populations. 

Reporting to the CEO, the Programme Manager will be responsible for coordination of activities between the Associate Members and lead on the delivery of GACD joint research funding calls in global implementation science on non-communicable diseases.

Job Purpose:
 
The Community and Corporate Fundraiser is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising initiatives to secure financial support from corporate partners and community groups. Key Responsibilities:
 
Corporate Fundraising:

• Develop and manage relationships with corporate partners
• Identify and approach new corporate funding opportunities through sponsorships, grants, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.
• Develop compelling funding proposals and partnership packages.
• Present engaging Lunch & Learns and regular progress reports to corporate partners.
• Work with businesses to create employee engagement opportunities, such as payroll giving, taking part in sporting challenges, sponsoring events and corporate volunteering.
• Monitor and evaluate corporate fundraising activities to ensure targets are met.

 
Community Fundraising:

• Engage with local communities, schools, faith groups, and clubs to encourage fundraising initiatives.

• Develop innovative fundraising ideas to increase engagement and income.

 
General Fundraising & Administration:

• Maintain accurate records of donors, sponsors, and fundraising activities using CRM systems.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with marketing and communications teams to promote fundraising efforts.
• Prepare reports on fundraising performance and impact.

Letchworth Foodbank is seeking an exceptional part-time Charity Manager to lead our organisation.   Our mission is the prevention or relief of poverty in our area by serving the needy in Letchworth, Hitchin and Baldock.  Receiving donations and grants of over £200,000 per annum, the Foodbank distributes over 40 tonnes of food and £50,000 of food vouchers every year to those that need it most.

As an organisation relying entirely on grants and donations, we face challenging hurdles to maintain and grow our income base in order to meet the increasingly complex needs of our clients.  Our strategy is not to stand still but to increase our reach and impact and we require a Charity Manager that shares our ambitions and has the capability to drive our strategy forwards.

We are a volunteer-based organisation with over 75 active volunteers supporting the breadth of operations from warehousing to client facing distribution centres.  We also work closely with local social care institutions and authorities on both funding for the Foodbank and ensuring our support for the needy helps them get back on their feet on a sustainable basis.  The Charity Manager will lead our volunteer team as well as engaging with the institutions and authorities that we work with to achieve our mission and implement our strategy.

The Charity Manager will be a leader driven by our mission, with empathy for our clients and the volunteers they will lead and possessing the skills to deliver our strategy with the support of the organisations and institutions we work with.

This role focusses on raising funds for Bowel Research UKs medical research projects and work that focuses on patient and public involvement. Funds raised will be a mix of restricted project funding and unrestricted funds that can support the organisations core operations.

You will need to work closely with colleagues in Research and Patient & Public Involvement to ensure you have a strong understanding of current funding needs and research successes. You will take the lead on seeking out new prospects and nurturing existing relationships to significantly grow income. You will achieve this by researching sources of funding, devising individually tailored applications, maintaining excellent communications with existing and potential donor trusts and foundations, delivering an agreed income target as well as growing funding from these sources.

The role will include researching relevant opportunities, identifying the most appropriate projects, writing and submitting applications and ensuring excellent donor management, development and reporting. Trusts and Foundations income is a cornerstone of Bowel Research UKs charitable income each year and is responsible for around a third of fundraised income. The organisation has assessed the trusts' function recently, the outcome of which shows that there is scope to significantly grow this area of activity. Full support will be given to the Trust Fundraising Manager to enable this growth to happen.

You will be a motivated self-starter able to write, budget and communicate effectively. You will develop relationships with ease and feel able to positively influence colleagues at all levels of an organisation. The position requires someone with a positive attitude who is determined and resilient. 

If you are someone who is or has operated at a senior trust fundraiser level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a trust and grants pipeline, creating compelling applications and directly delivering income success, then this role might be for you.
