RM Recruit are working with a fantastic cause-based charity based in Warwickshire to recruit an Interim Head of Income Generation for their team. Reporting to the CEO, and as a member of the Senior Management Team, this role will see you hold overall responsibility for Individual Giving, Corporate Partnerships, Events and Community Fundraising, Trusts and Grants and Marketing and Communications.

Your remit will include, but not be limited to:

• Continual review and improvement of current income generation strategies, identifying opportunities to optimise income in the short term and build foundations for future growth. 

• Undertake a review of the charities retail strategy, maximising overall trading profitability and identifying opportunities for expansion of retail operations.

• Continual development of an effective marketing and communication plan to deliver against the overall 5 year strategy of the charity

• Preparation of robust plans for the development and delivery of sustainable and diverse income generation and marketing strategies that meet both current and future operational needs of the charity

• Leading the Income Generation team, ensuring the department is motivated and individual and team targets support maximising income generation

• Advise and support the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees on all marking, fundraising and retail concerns

• Ensure the compliance of the fundraising, marketing and retail teams against all relevant codes of practice and legislation, e.g.: the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator, Health and Safety, Data Protection, Gift Aid, and local councils.

• Operate as a key member of the Income Strategy Committee, leading on governance and compliance matters in relation to income generation, ensuring processes are communicated to all appropriate departments

• The development and delivery of organisational strategy and cross-organisation working whilst maintaining personal visibility as a member of the Senior Management Team

• Preparation and presentation of  timely reports, information and advice on all relevant income generation matters to the Chief Executive, Trustees and the Senior Management Team

• Support the Chief Executive and the Head of Finance with annual budget setting process whilst managing/monitoring retail budgets and income generation for the Charity.

• Monitor, evaluate and improve income generation strategies via maximising the effectiveness of the inhouse CRM system

This wide ranging role would suit a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate a strong track record of working at a senior level to successfully develop and implement a wide variety of innovative charitable income generation strategies across a range of fundraising channels. This is a hybrid role that will require 3 days per week in the Warwickshire Head Office and will have a duration of 6 months.

As part of our Health team, the Initiative Lead – Clean Air Initiative is responsible for driving our air quality campaign strategy, collaborating with institutional investors and pushing major corporates to improve their air quality management. This role is key to advancing corporate accountability, deepening stakeholder engagement, and integrating health into responsible investment practices. The Initiative Lead plays a vital role in our projects and campaigns by refining our strategy, prioritising target companies, and leading the execution of our air quality initiatives.

A typical week would see you strategising with investors, developing compelling arguments for change, leading discussions with major corporations, and drafting impactful communications to stakeholders. You’ll regularly engage with institutional investors and corporate leaders, forming strong relationships and using your expertise to influence air quality management and drive progress in our Clean Air Initiative.

Finally, in this role, you will help ShareAction harness the power of investment to build a world where the financial system serves our planet and its people. JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Development will be a dynamic leader within the RUH and a charismatic ambassador externally. Responsible for leading the Development Team across all funding streams and personally managing a select portfolio of major gift prospects, the role will transform our approach to fundraising and philanthropy, delivering against demanding targets and key projects (research, patient & staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment and ‘where the need is greatest’). This is an exciting opportunity to help lead, grow and re-shape the Development Team and is a pivotal role within the SLT, reporting directly to the Head of RUHX.

The successful candidate will be the entrepreneurial force behind leading a team to grow income to £4m+ to support projects and campaigns across the RUH. You will be an experienced fundraising professional with a proven track record of delivering significant income across all funding streams and meeting challenging targets to deliver growth. As an innovative and strategic leader, you will focus on driving donor-centric partnerships, providing exceptional supporter experiences while bolstering exceptional stakeholder relationships.

The Head of Development will be an inspiring and compassionate leader, used to recruiting and motivating a high-performing team and operating a learning and development approach. A skilled communicator and influencer with exceptional diplomatic skills, you will have an ability to develop strong working relationships with staff, trustees, donors and other stakeholders. You will have extensive budget management and planning experience, and will be working closely with the SLT, the Director of Finance and the Charities Committee.

Above all, you will be dedicated to RUHX, the RUH and the NHS - committed to transforming patient care through a business-minded and innovative approach towards driving development. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development—The post holder will line manage a successful team of fundraisers and will be responsible for securing a team total of £1.5m per year. The Head of Development will manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects and will be responsible for the identification and cultivation of potential donors, typically in the region of £250,000 and above, delivering a £1.5m a year.
• Leadership & Management- responsible for providing inspiring and innovative leadership and team management, nurturing a culture of ambition, support, and inclusion at RUHX. Ensure the alignment of the charity's vision, values, and behaviours while managing a high-performing Development Team, in line with best practice.
• Strategy - responsible for the strategic leadership and delivery of all development functions of the RUHX’s income generation, in line with the charity’s objectives and the Charities Committee.
• Governance and Compliance- responsible for ensuring RUHX's is compliant with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Financial & Risk Management- responsible for leading and managing the Development Team to meet financial fundraising targets and oversee budgets. Working with the SLT, ensure timely updates to the Head of RUHX and Charities Committee, reporting on risks with recommendations.
• External Relations and Communications- working with RUHX Director and Marketing & Communications Team support with corporate communications, public relations, and brand consistency. 

The role of the Trusts and Grants fundraiser is to build on-going relationships with Charitable Trusts and Foundations, whether those Trusts/Foundations are local to Birmingham and the West Midlands, or based elsewhere in the U.K., so as to continue to source financial support for St Basils in terms of grants for both revenue and capital purposes.

JOB SUMMARY

The Trusts Manager will be a driven individual with a background in securing five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts from charitable funders, corporate organisations, and/or Major Donors. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a diverse pool of Trusts and Foundations, both existing and prospective, to maximise philanthropic support across the RUH.

In this role, you will be pivotal in our Development Team, directly reporting to the Head of Development. Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the UK's most prominent Trusts and Foundations. Your objective will be to achieve targets by proactively identifying and cultivating relationships with Trusts and Foundations and writing compelling grant applications for our key projects (medical research, patient and staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment, and 'the area of greatest need.'

The ideal candidate will be adept at nurturing lasting relationships with funders, working towards a team income target of over £1.5m. You will also be a confident stakeholder manager, working closely with clinicians, researchers, and senior leaders to identify some of the key RUH funding areas that can deliver impact.

Central to your success will be your ability to articulate compelling cases for support verbally and in writing, translating complex information into persuasive appeals and grant applications. You will have a proven track record of demonstrating initiative in seizing fundraising opportunities and championing the endeavours of Trusts and Foundations. Your role will secure significant contributions for transformative projects and cultivate a culture of donor-centric giving, fostering long-term partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Development- The post holder will manage Trust and Foundation income and secure an annual income of £500k+ towards the total Development team target of £1.5m. The Trusts Manager will manage a portfolio of major gifts prospects and will be responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of, five, six and seven figures gifts.
• Management—Responsible for managing an established prospect pool and identifying new donors while effectively reporting against income projections. Demonstrate potential for line management capabilities, with the opportunity for supervisory responsibilities as the role grows.
• Governance and Compliance- ensuring philanthropic giving complies with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Financial & Risk Management—Working with the Head of Development, the post holder is responsible for managing Trust and Foundation income and expenditures to meet an individual target.
• External Relations and Communications- working with the Head of Development and the Marketing & Communications Team, supporting corporate communications, public relations, and brand consistency in relation to Trust and Foundation giving.

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans as part of the Fundraising and Supporter Engagement team as the E-Commerce Manager. 

In line with our ecommerce strategy, Sustrans has invested over the past years to increase sales through our e-commerce shop and now needs to find new approaches to maximise revenue. 

As the E-Commerce Manager, you will be responsible for maximising e-commerce revenue by optimising the martech stack, improving audience insights, product development/management and  promotion through digital and offline marketing channels. 

As part of the Fundraising and Supporter Engagement team, you will work closely with colleagues in Supporter Engagement and Giving, Strategic Communications, Finance as well as external agencies and suppliers. 

This role has line management responsibilities for two-part time colleagues, the E-Commerce Promotions Officer and the E-Commerce Products Officer.

About you 

You should have experience of leading, motivating and managing a team as well as demonstratable experience of working in e-commerce ideally in cycling/outdoor or an allied industry.

You will have previously improved customer experience and increased loyalty, as well as having worked with Shopify, website content management systems and ideally integrations with Facebook and Amazon. You will be skilled in project delivery to agreed deadlines and budgets. 

You will need to be experienced in delivering, interpreting and actioning insight through high quality, consistent data to increase sales and of using paid and organic channels including SEO.

FareShare is the UK’s biggest surplus food charity and today we find ourselves on the front line of an envornmental and socio economic crisis. We are looking for a talented, passionate person to join our Senior Leadership Team to oversee our finance operations. With more growth planned over the next 2 years we want to find someone who has the experience to oversee the day to day finances of a large regional charity and to lead and nurture our finance staff. Ivy Rock Partners is recruiting an interim Financial Controller/Deputy Director role for a top London University to start at the end of September for 6-9 months.

This role will be to lead teams across Income, Treasury and Accounts Payable - so would suit a strong technical Accountant with experience managing large teams - via 3 direct reports. Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Director of Finance this role will lead the development of the University’s financial transaction functions to meet the strategic and operational needs of the University.

• Oversee the operational framework to ensure the University continues to comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.

• Lead, manage and co-ordinate the functions of an effective and efficient Treasury Services team, including excellent customer service, compliance with policies and procedures, and an effective controls framework to manage the risks associated with the University’s cash resources.
• Ensure income, expenditure and treasury systems are audit ready and oversee the production of all information for year end purposes. Ensure any audit recommendations are owned and implemented where appropriate.
• Lead ad hoc finance related reviews, including due diligence and financial investigations and to prepare reports as may be required from time to time.
• Co-ordinance the University’s fraud response including responsibility for first line reporting and escalation and ensuring effective procedures for fraud reporting.
• Keep the University’s banking arrangements under review to ensure that there are appropriate banking arrangements in place, that meet the needs of the University’s operating model.
• Ensure that the University’s cash resources are managed and invested in accordance with the policy for the Short-Term Investment of Funds including the performance review, appointment and day to day management of the University’s fund managers.
• Oversee the University’s cashflow ensuring that liquidity levels and covenant compliance are in place; ensure that effective cashflow planning and reporting mechanisms are in place for decision making.
• Continuously review and update all policies and guidance, including Standing Financial Orders, Financial Regulations and Financial Procedures.

Leadership Lighthouses will support the development of social leaders from Black and racially minoritised communities, aiming to increase their confidence, skills, resilience and wellbeing, and ultimately, increase the impact they have with the communities they support. This national programme, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund*, follows on from a research project and a successful pilot in 2022.

Over the course of five years, we will work alongside a range of expert partners, and specialised coaches and facilitators to reach around 300 leaders, primarily through local programmes in England, in addition to national activity.

Role Description

The Racial Equity Programme Lead will be part of our talented, agile and welcoming team of 7. This is a newly established role that will be managed by the Programmes Director, and work closely with the CEO, the wider organisation and those involved in this programme, including expert collaborators, partners and a steering group. There are no line management responsibilities.

The key responsibilities of the role are to:

● Offer valuable insights and learning from the Leadership Lighthouses programme and support their integration to       ensure our organisation's work remains inclusive and impactful.

● Lead and manage the Leadership Lighthouses programme, with a collaborative approach, building strong relationships with partners and participants, actively listening and responding to their needs.

● Ensure effective deployment of resources to achieve the programme objectives and targets.

● Design and implement robust management processes to ensure good governance and successful project outcomes.

● Support delivery partners and manage the partnership relationship, ensuring consistent and high-quality work, addressing any shortcomings appropriately.

● Provide administrative support to the Steering Group.

● Anticipate and mitigate risks to ensure milestones and targets are met.

● Monitor expenditure against the programme budget, working with delivery partners to ensure optimal use of available funds.

Terms and working hours

We are open to discussing flexible arrangements before or on application.

Place of work

Pay and benefits

● Salary for this role will be £32,000 based on 28 hours per week (£40,000 full time equivalent FTE).

● The post holder is entitled to 20 days of annual leave (25 days FTE), in addition to UK statutory holidays.

● The office is closed for one week during the winter festive period (25-31 December), providing an additional three days of annual leave in addition to the above allocation.

● You have the option to join our contributory pension scheme. The employer's contribution is 3% with a minimum employee contribution of 5%.

Sydenham Garden is seeking an interim Director (maternity cover) on a 12-month contract to lead our organisation, delivering adult mental health and dementia services in our beautiful garden setting in south-east London.

Our current Director has been in post since 2021 and will be taking 12 months maternity leave from October.  We're seeking an interim Director (maternity cover) to lead and manage our staff team of 15 and volunteer team of 60, delivering creative, horticultural and nature-based therapeutic activities for our co-workers (the name we give our primary beneficiaries).
