The role
This is an exciting time to join Greenwich Hospital as we work through a significant change agenda. With responsibility for supporting the Director of Greenwich Hospital (DGH) and the Senior Leadership team, as well as providing other business support, this is a varied and rewarding role. You’ll be working closely with other team members to ensure a positive, joined-up and dynamic working environment representing the office of the DGH externally with a wide variety of stakeholders within the Royal Navy, Ministry of Defence and the Naval charity sector. This is a key role within the Greenwich Hospital team and an opportunity to significantly contribute to our work.

The post holder will work at a senior level to provide effective strategic executive support to the Chief Executive and proactive administrative assistance to all members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation management (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth.
The Operations Officer role offers a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to advance while helping scale-up the organisation’s operations. Job Summary:
As Secretary General of the NRA and Chief Executive of the National Shooting Centre Limited, the NRA’s commercial enterprise subsidiary, you will be responsible for leading the management and operations of the organisations, as well as implementing the overall vision for the charity working with the Trustees. The role involves a high level of responsibility, with pivotal decision-making that affects the future of the charity and its beneficiaries.
Working closely with the NRA Board of Trustees and NSC Board of Directors you will develop the long-term strategy, and business plans of both entities and ensure they comply with the law and regulations applicable to each, but in particular the relevant Charities legislation.
As the main driver of the organisation, the Secretary General is ultimately accountable to the NRA’s council of trustees and works closely with them to achieve the charity's objectives.

Job Summary
The purpose of the Area Giving and Finance Adviser role is to provide comprehensive finance support to churches within the Stepney Area, aiding them in the development of their ministries, manage Common Fund giving and to support the Area Bishop’s staff team in the management of resources including monitoring clergy post numbers, curate funding, and other financial matters. Role Particulars:
Working Pattern: This is a full-time position, requiring two day per week in London, typically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Due to the nature of this role, some travel and periods of working away from home will be necessary, as agreed in advance. Depending on your job role, there may be other opportunities to head to site, but you will be invited, and arrangements will be made in advance. Specifically, at our two main events, we will look after you so you can do your job to the best of your ability. We also make sure TOIL is accrued so that you can rest to the best of your ability too!
Prayer Days: Your physical, mental, and spiritual health are incredibly important to us. While onsite at our events and throughout the year, we make sure to honour Prayer Days.
Pension: After completing three months and passing your probation, you will be automatically enrolled in the New Wine pension scheme. As part of the scheme, we will contribute 10% of your salary. This scheme does not require any contributions from you. However, if you would like to make additional contributions, you can arrange this with the Finance Manager.
