BAPRAS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to manage and grow a small team that will help its members to raise an awareness of the breadth of plastic surgery as well as promote innovation in teaching, learning and research.

The Head of Operations will work collaboratively with other team members and the Officers and Trustees in all aspects of: 

• managing the day-to-day operations and project delivery of the organisation to ensure the effective coordination of events, communications, committees, governance and member support & services.

At Qube we are working in partnership to make a difference in Shropshire by providing volunteer brokerage and governance support to voluntary groups and organisations.

The role of the Volunteer and Infrastructure Officer is to support the Volunteer and Infrastructure Team Lead within the Voluntary and Community Support team providing high quality information, support and expertise in infrastructure support opportunities available to groups and organisations within Shropshire.

The Volunteer and Infrastructure Officer promotes volunteering and encourages new volunteers to come forward for the benefit of Shropshire groups, organisations and communities. About Victoria Hall Harrow

The Victoria Hall Harrow charity started in 1888, with the aim of building a high quality venue for the people of Harrow to come together and to build community. Since then our venue Victoria Hall has been rebuilt twice, most recently reopening to the public in Summer 2021. We also created a new charity some years back (a CIO), transferring the assets of the old charity over. For this reason our Charity Commission listing below is not representative of our current financial position and our assets. 

For around 140 years Victoria Hall has provided space for rent to local residents and groups. It has been used for every possible purpose - parties, events, activities, conferences and much more. 

More recently the trustee board have embarked on a renewed strategy process, and we are now relaunching the charity as a partnership-first community centre, that identifies local needs and uses our assets to best meet those needs, working with a wide range of partners to serve the local diverse communities. 

In June 2024 we agreed our new Vision and Mission. We are still now working through the overall draft of our strategy, which we will be happy to share with you as soon as it is ready in 1st draft form.

As our first CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Victoria Hall. Main Aim of the role

• A developmental and leadership role which will be a high profile in the community which will:

-  Deliver a Business Plan based on a Strategic Plan, Fundraising Plan and annual budget

 - Demonstrate that the Business Plan has the commitment of BECT staff and is fully funded from income reserves and fundraising

-  Demonstrate that BECT is meeting all of its social enterprise objectives

-  Continue to develop the established strategic partnership with Barnham and Eastergate Parish Council

• Recruitment and management of all staff, including annual appraisals and pay reviews

• Build relationships with key stakeholders in the community

• Build an effective working relationship with the Chair of the Board of Trustees and other Trustees

• Maintain a system of governance through working with the Secretary and Finance Officer of the Trust

• Provide regular reports to the Board of Trustees

• Ensure the organisation’s staff and volunteers are focused on achieving the aims of the Trust

• Monitor potential sources of grant funding and where appropriate submit bids

• Manage and support the Hall Manager’s in obtaining best value for money in terms of contracts for the operation of the two Halls.

• Ensure the Licence to Operate agreement with Barnham and Eastergate Parish Council for Barnham Community Hall is managed on an ongoing basis through liaison with the Clerk to the Parish Council.

Do you have experience in successfully managing complex projects, ideally in a not-for -profit environment?  We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to develop and shape programmes to successfully deliver against the Church of England’s ambitious target to become net-zero by 2030.

This role will be working across both Rochester and Canterbury Diocese and the successful applicant will need to have current working knowledge of environmental and climate issues.

This is a new role which is funded for two years. 

 Key Responsibilities

The post-holder(s) will:

• Oversee the ongoing development and delivery of the Net Zero Carbon (NZC) programmes for both dioceses.
• Maximise the alignment of the plans for each diocese as far as is practical to optimise the benefit of working together in partnership, and actively identify and develop opportunities for partnership working in delivery. Specifically, to develop a NZC action plan for Rochester including managing the adoption of the plan by the appropriate governance committees. (Note: Canterbury already has an approved NZC action plan.)
• Develop, maintain and deliver an implementation plan which highlights the strategic activities, has clear objectives and impact measures; including evaluation.
• Working with other diocesan colleagues, oversee the planning and development of decarbonisation projects to deliver the ambitions and targets in the NZC Action plans.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have a track record of delivering complex multi-stakeholder projects, ideally in a not-for-profit environment with and understanding of environmental and climate issue.  An understanding of how these issues affect the Church of England would be beneficial.

Key responsibilities of our Finance Officer will include:

• Working closely with Head of Finance to ensure receipts are recorded correctly on Sage 50 and membership accounts are validated/activated on Sage CRM as required
• Sales ledger converting sales quotes through the CRM into invoices on sage 50 and issue the invoice via email. Issue reminders for new and existing membership subscriptions, training, consultancy etc and ensure these are emailed to members
• Assisting with the credit control function, chase outstanding payments for membership renewals and new customers by phone, email
• Posting letters attached with a copy invoice to members chasing the outstanding payments – on a monthly basis
• Entering supplier invoices/expense claims, collate supporting receipts, and get appropriate authorisations for payment per policy.
• Setting up bank transfer supplier payments for dual authorisation.
• Monitoring the Finance mailbox and personal mailbox daily and action all queries, change requests in 5 days turn around.
• Monitoring and action online finance queries and redirect queries to the correct departments.

What we’re looking for in our ideal Finance Officer:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience of providing support via an online helpdesk and over the telephone.
• Knowledge and experience of working with databases and CRM systems.

The Director of Finance & Operations is responsible for the good financial management and smooth operations of Severn Wye. The role reports directly to the CEO and is a member of the executive team, sharing collective responsibility to deliver Severn Wye’s work and plan for its future.

• Organisational development and management:
