We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Director, Technology who will be the lead technology expert for the organisation. This is a new role offering the scope to shape Refuge’s response to the technology challenges we face in executing our strategy and achieving our mission.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in delivering high-quality IT support service through effective contract management of the recently appointed outsourcing company, including the resolution of any remaining on-boarding issues. You will bring a strong understanding of IT security practices, regulatory compliance, and cyber security protocols. You will also be a trusted advisor for senior colleagues, providing expertise, identifying opportunities, and delivering solutions for modernisation, automation, and cost optimisation across the organisation. You will provide advice and technical guidance to teams who manage their own applications and systems (Finance, Fundraising, People and Culture, Helpline) and manage the procurement of new IT software solutions with key investments in case management, housing management and finance systems in the early planning stages. And you will take management responsibility for Refuge’s well-established and respected Data and Performance team, ensuring we continue to report to funders on standards of performance across our services.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. We are recruiting employment support workers for a new primary care Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment service in the London Borough of Enfield.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental and physical health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental and physical health challenges, either personally or through a close contact.

The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.
No prior experience in IPS is required. The role we are recruiting for is as follows:
Full time: 35 hours per week - these roles will be based onsite in the community 4 days per week and work from home 1 day.
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental or physical health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, the DWP and local agencies, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led. You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

For over 1,000 years almshouse charities have been providing a unique form of safe, secure, warm homes for people in need. Far from being a relic of the past, however, the almshouse movement remains vibrant and The Almshouse Association, which was established in 1946, continues to be the sole support organisation for over 1,600 member almshouse charities throughout the UK which, collectively, provide accommodation for approximately 36,000 residents.
At the heart of the Association, which is a charity in its own right, our member services team provides an advocacy service to the trustees and clerks of our members both by telephone and email. This is in addition to the guidance we offer through our instruction manuals and website.
An opportunity has now arisen for an additional member of staff to join the team to provide specific support to our members including those who are facing specific challenges. - Responding to member enquiries by phone or email and recording all support given on our CRM.
- Working with specific member charities to complete a Charity Health Check form that covers all aspects of managing their almshouses, ranging from governance issues, health & safety, the properties, residents etc.
- Supporting charities in difficulty, especially those charities most in need, whilst maintaining communication at all times with our Head of Member Services and the wider team.
- Helping identify those charities where direct support is required.
- Helping establish a web- based service for responding to accommodation enquiries.
- Monitoring the Members Forum and alerting the team to issues where an Association response is required.
- Coordinating our Panel of Consultants, checking their credentials and maintaining relationships.
- Providing administration support and assisting with arrangements for events including our training course for trustees, seminars for trustees and clerks, and our Members Day.
The nature of the role is such that the individual may be asked to undertake additional or alternative tasks and duties as the needs of the Association dictate.
Full training will be given but an understanding of almshouses and almshouse management, whilst not essential, would be an advantage.
The role may involve extensive travel to the Association’s member charities across the UK. Therefore, the successful applicant will need to be a car owner and possess a clean driving licence. Expenses will be paid. On occasions overnight stays may be necessary.

Bakery Court and Chapel View are mental health, supported housing and community-based services, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, peer support and supported housing. About the Role:
This role is a hybrid working role and is based at our Singer Street offices, Islington, London for a minimum of one day a week and home working, subject to operational demand. As a Deputy Head of Service you will assist the Head of Service (HoS) to deliver consistently safe, high-quality support for all service users across the Service and ensure contractual targets are met. You will deputise in the absence of the HoS.
- Assist the HoS to deliver a high-quality service across London, meeting funder requirements and deputising in HoS absence.
- Coordinate of the continuous improvement of the DA Service, ensuring consistent implementation across all aspects of the Service.
- Facilitate consultation across the teams and other key stakeholders to develop new and build on existing good practice, implement and support the strategic direction of the regional business plan.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day management of staff, ensuring appropriate and effective delivery of services to survivors, including, safeguarding, risk assessment, needs assessment, safety planning, referrals to other agencies and MARACs.
- Drive continuous improvement of performance through use of data and other operational information to ensure teams perform to the highest standards at all times. This will include developing further data sources/requirements to ensure where possible all aspects of DA Service performance are evidenced.
- Coordinate the auditing and analysis of data and other information required for the performance and monitoring reports for the commissioner as well as ad hoc requests from partners, HoS and/or Director.
- Help build on and lead external relationships promoting positive working relationships to ensure the best possible support and outcomes is provided to eligible service users.
- Ensure we are meeting the needs of our service users to a standard as expected of our commissioners and partners.
