You'll be able to create something from nothing, building ideas from scratch and bringing everything together to ensure we grow our services to meet the ever changing needs of our communities.

As a Business Growth Manager, a typical day might include:

- Generating growth opportunities for the wider group structure in line with our social purpose, including acquisition, market diversification and complimentary service growth of up to £10m.
- You'll have your eye into the future, ensuring we are maximising our assets and have a pipeline of income to deliver our plans across all delivery sites
- Developing new services or products that meet the changing needs of our customers, our communities, commissioners and policy makers, seeking out contracting and funding opportunities to deliver these.
- Turning stakeholder relationships into strategic partners, delivering return for our customers, maximising opportunities to secure external funding from new income streams including corporate, community, grants, trusts and foundations, partnerships and public sector tenders, in support of business objectives.
- Working directly with the Executive Leadership Team, deliver against our charitable purpose, growing services and new business opportunities in line with our growth strategy and corporate vision.
- Working with the Bid Manager to ensure a pipeline of viable, fundable and sustainable models - leading on the financial viability of programmes through business plans, financial modelling and cash flow forecasting.
- Researching and developing a robust prospect pipeline to meet both financial and strategic targets, identifying opportunities for growth from all sources including partnerships, acquisition, businesses, government-led agencies, and trusts.
- Generating new customers for the group, leading innovative ways to engage, support and improve their lives for the better.
- Working with the Community Impact Manager and Data & Performance lead, gathering insight and needs analysis to develop new ideas and generate new income streams.
- Leading the innovation of ideas, improvements and changes to maximise income, support more customers and make a difference
- Leading team performance against KPI's and budgets, including regular reporting to senior managers budget management.
- Developing new models from scratch - including at times complex and long-term business planning. Working across multiple income streams to ensure full cost recovery and commercial return and seeking approval from Committees and Group Board where required.
- Understanding of wider business modelling approaches, including profit and loss accountancy, opportunities for cross subsidy and contractual and commercial income generation
- Turning stakeholder relationships into strategic partnerships delivering collaborative services for maximum impact, sustainability and growth opportunities
- You'll be able to step in and support with strong, evidenced based and accurate bids with clear delivery outcomes and cost modelling - supporting the wider bids team when required

Some of the experience/skills we need to consider you:

- Full understanding of the funding and grant submission process and a proven track record of securing income through this route
- Experience of securing income, in particular multiyear funding to ensure full cost recovery across all areas and a sustainable approach to delivery
- Experience of generating diversified income through new markets and developing and establishing new models
- Experience of acquisitions and mergers to support business growth
- A proven track record of turning stakeholder relationships into productive and impactful partnerships, working collaboratively to deliver a bigger impact in a funded and sustainable way
- Experience of managing budgets in the region of £1m with a full understanding of the budget planning and management process
