You'll sit within our Philanthropy team, working on charitable trusts and foundations who generally give up to £30,000, working with a portfolio of approximately 75 active trusts and foundations. You'll research, identify and drive forward new income opportunities, maintaining relationship with existing donors and ensure our supporters have an excellent experience.

You'll deliver high quality, written application and reports to trusts and foundations, in line with funder deadlines, keeping in touch with donors and prospects via phone, virtually and face to face. You'll match potential donors with projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach.

Purpose of the Job 

Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind run an innovative crisis prevention service designed as a place for children and young people at risk of mental health crises to de-escalate and have access to a skilled staff team to support them. The Circle is open out of hours (3pm-11pm or 12pm-8pm weekends and holidays), 365 days a year, and has been designed to reduce the need for young people to attend A&E. Co-designed by young people, it is a friendly and accessible space.The mental health adviser role is key to the support that children and young people will receive on site, and you will have the opportunity to work with 5-18 year olds, as well as providing signposting and support to parents/carers and other agencies.

This Mental Health Adviser role would suit an experienced Mental Health Youth Worker, CAMHS support worker, Youth Counsellor, Child Wellbeing Practitioner, Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, an Assistant Psychologist with some training in MH interventions like CBT,  or other roles that have given you experience and skills in  working with Children and Young People presenting with difficulties related to their Mental Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team dedicated to providing support to children and young people who are at risk of mental health crisis, or may otherwise attend A&E.
• Offer one to one support via drop in or appointments, and be child-centred in that support.
• Work alongside children and young people, their parents/carers and families in increasing self-management of presenting difficulties.
• Signpost anyone accessing the service to appropriate and local on-going support; and build up your knowledge and networks of such support.
• Understand and implement safeguarding procedures, and be familiar with safeguarding law, and how it applies to our work.
• Follow risk procedures, be familiar with completing risk assessments, and refer to on-call or senior managers appropriately.

You will have:

• A minimum of two years’ experience of supporting children and/young people in a mental health service or similar role in a paid or volunteer capacity, in a 1:1 and group setting
• An ability to form supportive relationships with families, and tailor support to individual need.
• A child-centred approach to work.
• Working knowledge of child and adult safeguarding.
• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity issues and the ability to integrate into your work.

Job Purpose: The role holder will ensure that business systems, infrastructure and processes are functioning as effectively and efficiently as possible. They will support colleagues to improve their knowledge and use Microsoft Office 365 (O365) and SharePoint/Teams and support with identifying new technologies that will enhance service delivery to YMCA customers.  

To review and replace business systems as YMCA East Surrey enters the next phase of digital transformation of integration of systems, cloud telephony and a business intelligence tool. This role will be an integral part of the transformation and onboarding new systems.  

 Hours of work:Part time 28 hours per week. Working pattern will usually be between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Location: YMCA Sports and Community Centre, Princes Road, Redhill, Surrey, RH1 6JJ.

Main Responsibilities:

 · Colleague support and triage of O365 and SharePoint issues.  

· Train and support colleagues to maintain the SharePoint Intranet.   

· Train and support superusers across the different O365 business systems   

· Assist and lead the efficient delivery of ICT driven projects across the business through collaboration with internal and external partners/stakeholders.  

· Lead on the specific project of procuring and rolling out a new VoIP system across the whole organisation.

· Assist in the analysis of existing systems, identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability. 

· Working closely together with the Senior Management Team and our IT Support Provider to ensure the technical viability of solutions.  

· Designing and overseeing test specifications and conducting rigorous testing before rolling out live systems  

· Support the Senior Management Team to determine budgets and time frames for implementation of proposed solutions.  

· Ensure system compliance with GDPR and follow the organisations Data Protection procedures relating to confidentiality.  

· Ensuring that implementation IT projects remain within agreed-upon budgets and time frames.  

· Identifying and managing IT risks and issues that impact business outcomes   

· Training users and creating instruction manuals for new or improved O365 systems  

· Researching and evaluating emerging technologies, including both hardware and software to improve efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes.

· Support managers to measure levels and activities and outcomes by collating data from different systems to demonstrate effectiveness and impact across all service areas.

· Attend system user groups and share learning and best practice.  

· Advise on IT solutions and software for the development of new sites and projects.   

· Attend contract review meetings with IT Support Provider, to help the HoCS to monitor their performance and resolve and contractual issues that might arise 

· Take responsibility for all IT hardware, to issue new equipment and to put in place arrangements for maintenance, repair and replacement where necessary and support maintenance of up-to-date asset register

· Take responsibility for drafting and reviewing relevant IT policies.

· Put in place the required systems and processes to achieve and maintain Cyber Essentials accreditation. 

· Manage all relevant software licences including O365 licences. 

· To produce monthly reports for senior management and to prepare proposals for new software where required. 

· Use Office applications such as Forms and Power BI to produce tools to help managers collect data and monitor and report on performance.

· To undertake such other tasks as may be allocated from time to time within your capabilities by the HoCS and CEO.

As a Social Media Officer, you will manage our social media channels, ensuring they're filled with inspiring and engaging content that connects with our wide range of audiences. You'll have the opportunity to grow our online presence and strengthen the community of supporters advocating for those affected by MND.

You will develop and publish accessible digital content that reflects our brand. You'll be 'the voice of the Association' on social media, protecting our reputation and ensuring our channels remain professional, positive, and compliant with GDPR and copyright laws.

You will collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure coordinated and effective social media activities, whether providing full support or offering guidance. The role will also include providing support and training to staff and volunteers in their use of social media. Additionally, you will play a key role in implementing our social media strategy.

Regular monitoring of social channels, responding to engagements, and fostering positive relationships are all part of the role. You will also produce reports to measure campaign success and provide valuable insights for future planning.

Occasionally, you will be asked to provide out-of-hours social media support as part of a rota.

As a Finance & Debt Specialist Advisor, you will provide service users with advice and support on finance and debt. Carrying out comprehensive assessments, via phone and face-to-face, and you will provide advocacy and support that empowers survivors primarily during crises and in the short term. You will also proactively work with other agencies on the service users’ behalf. You will hold a caseload of survivors and work as part of our duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

The service is Pan London and operates within local communities, necessitating travel across all 11 boroughs to deliver outreach support to clients when needed.

About You:

To be successful as the Finance and Debt Specialist Advisor you will need the below experience and skills:

You will have the ability to encourage user engagement with the service through proactive contact. Maintain project logs and collate data from the logs for Team Managers. Proactively assess the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have. Bring your experience of providing finance, and debt advice and successfully, managing high numbers of calls and/or cases and have a solid understanding (possibly experience) of supporting women who have experienced domestic violence, forced marriage or ‘honour-based violence

Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital for the 450,000 patients and families we care for every year. 

The charity helps to fund a range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of our amazing young patients. This includes the funding of specialist medical equipment to ensure our brilliant surgeons and clinical staff have the most up to date and cutting edge technology available and funding hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety in our patients. We also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as our ward musicians, our on-site magician and the play specialists we have on every ward. 

We have recently closed our Surgical Neonatal Appeal, having successfully raised our £3m target towards a brand new, state of the art Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the hospital. This year we will be fundraising towards a new Same Day Emergency Care Centre, providing an unrivalled experience for our patients and their families. 

About the role: 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Corporate Partnerships Team. Reporting into the Corporate Partnerships Manger, the post holder will work with the Corporate Partnerships Team to deliver the corporate fundraising strategy. 

The post holder will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate partnerships, stewarding supporters, organising and managing corporate events as well as supporting with content for corporate partner communications. 

Key Responsibilities will include: 

• To assist the Corporate Partnerships Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the corporate fundraising strategy.

• Income generation.

• Management of your own portfolio of corporate accounts which includes providing outstanding donor stewardship to maximise supporter experience, engagement and funds raised. 

• Organise, manage and execute our corporate fundraising and engagement events such as our Dragon Boat Festival and Golf Day. 

• To work together as a team to grow corporate fundraising income through current partnerships and new business approaches, as agreed with the Head of Corporate Partnerships. 

• Utilise the CRM database to maintain accurate records for data segmentation and for income and other KPI reporting purposes. 

• Create funding reports for external partners when required. 

• Support and attend third-party corporate events as well as wider charity events. 

• Keep up to date with fundraising trends. 

• Communication and stewardship 

• Work with the Corporate Fundraising Manager and Marketing Team to develop a communication plan for corporate accounts. 

• Interact with corporate partners on social media, as well as creating content for platforms such as LinkedIn.

• Create stewardship/development plans for corporate partners. 

• Create and deliver presentations to raise awareness of the work of the Charity.

• Deliver tours of the hospital to supporters autonomously.  To assist the Corporate Partnerships Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the corporate fundraising strategy.

• Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation. 

• To act as a spokesperson for the charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate 

• Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers. Attend and support events run by the fundraising teams where required.

*The charity is currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 31st March 2025. This fixed term contract is for 14 months at 28.13 hours per week. As part of our 4-day working week trial (working week Monday to Thursday) working hours required will be 22.5 hours per week if you opt to sign up to the trial and its associated conditions. If the trial was to end after 31st March 2025, the working hours required would return to the contracted weekly hours for this role of 28.13 hours per week. Our Philanthropy Coordinator will proactively track and manage a pipeline of next and existing High Net Worth Individuals and support HorseWorld's Major Donor Working Group comprising the Chair of Trustees, CEO and Heads of Departments.  You will be expected to provide insight and identify opportunities for connection plus manage and track the stewardship tools to guide donors through their giving journey, including cultivation plans, sourcing and presenting tailored information for donors.  Facilitating and attending meetings and events, both in person and online, you will be ensuring steps are being taken to nurture donor relationships.

Collaboration is key as you will work with colleagues and volunteers across the organisation to support HorseWorld's fundraising efforts.

You will also initiative the relationship management of a new portfolio of mid value donors and prospects; ensuring the donors you work with are engaged with our cause, and that you are responding to their individual stewardship needs as you keep them updated with our work.

About the role:

The Advance Specialist Prison & Probation Advocate will support women within the prison setting, provide pre-release support, focused on Accommodation, Finance, debt & benefits, Family & significant others and Social inclusion including ‘through the gate’ support.

This exciting new role will be based in HMP Bronzefield and will support in developing referral pathways for women and work in partnership with different departments and services within the prison as well as those in the community. You will co-design an action plan with women accessing support, enabling you to support them to address their accommodation, finance, debt and benefits and health needs and any risks in relation to the interventions identified, as they prepare for release. The role will involve a combination of casework-based approach with delivery of programmes and courses, along with a signposting and advice service for the women in custody.

You will have demonstrable experience and understanding of working with women in a challenging multi-agency environment, ideally working with prisoners and/or their families.

You will build strong relationships with the Pre Release teams to ensure clients are able to maintain or access suitable accommodation, finance, benefits and debt, family and social inclusion support including negotiating terms on behalf of the women. Ensure that interventions are responsive to and meet the needs of women from diverse and minoritised backgrounds. This, together with referrals to wider partner organisations in the community, will ensure additional support needs are addressed post-release and continuity of support exists.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

About You:

To be successful as the Advance Specialist Prison & Probation Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

Knowledge and experience of the criminal justice system obtained through academic study, experience of working in the criminal justice system (or closely associated social system).

The ability and experience as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system whether in the community or in prisons.

You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.

Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload including maintaining and updating records, remaining focused on action plan goals, and keeping to deadlines

You will have the ability to complete trauma informed, support and action plans in collaboration with the woman; to support in addressing their multiple and individual needs and enable them to engage with services, which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

This exciting Project Assistant role will work closely with the Programme Development Officer to support the development and delivery of Reclaiming Our Power. Reclaiming Our Power will explore the impact of racist microaggressions on mental health through creative peer support workshops with people with lived experience of racism, and will use learning to co-design and co-deliver learning opportunities to people working in the public and charity sectors delivering Glasgow’s services.

Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR) exists to relieve the suffering of British wildlife, to encourage respect and tolerance for wildlife and to further its conservation. SWWR strives to do this by:

Our Fundraising Manager is responsible for planning and preparing all fundraising and grants working alongside all departments to ensure projects are fulfilled from inception to fruition. The post holder takes care of medium- to long-term activities,  budgeting, planning and strategy, as well as being responsive to emerging opportunities and adapting to change. The Fundraising Manager is also the main point of contact for new and existing supporters, providing support and stewardship to the amazing individuals and organisations who want to help wildlife.

Alongside the above, the Fundraising Manager will also provide support to the current fundraising personnel and activities at SWWR, coordinating and supporting a range of tasks and functions to aid in the smooth running of the Charity. 

Fundraising is integrated into every part of SWWR’s operations. The Fundraising Manager works closely with colleagues in Education, Retail, Events, Finance, Volunteering, and Wildlife Care to understand their needs and provide support to aid in the smooth running of the Charity.

SWWR’s annual operational costs are approximately £900,000. The majority of funding is raised through supporter donations, fundraising events, trading activities and legacies.
