WorldSkills UK is seeking a dynamic Network Member Manager to support and expand the growing network of institutions that are part of our award-winning Centre of Excellence. This role is vital to driving value for members and enhancing our flagship programme, which is dedicated to transforming Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) across the UK. As Network Member Manager, you will manage relationships, engage members, and maximise the impact of the Centre of Excellence, ensuring member institutions have access to world-class training and development resources. Key tasks and responsibilities
Programme management and reporting:
• Establish and maintain an account management framework to encourage member participation in the Centre of Excellence’s core offerings.
• Track and report on member engagement metrics, leveraging data insights to drive retention, satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
• Regularly evaluate and refine the member engagement framework to meet evolving needs, including offering tailored training and development solutions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for management and leadership that provide insights into programme outcomes, trends, and impact. These reports will inform partners and stakeholders, highlighting the Centre’s achievements and demonstrating value to support continued engagement.
Member engagement and relationship management:
• Build effective working relationships with senior leaders from across the membership, serving as the primary point of contact for ongoing support.

• Oversee the enrolment and validation of new members, guiding them through the onboarding process and ensuring alignment with programme requirements.

The Trusts and Foundations Manager with be responsible for the ongoing management of the current successful high-value portfolio ranging from £2m commitments to £100k grants. In addition to ensuring the current portfolio is expertly stewarded with the aim of renewing and uplifting existing funders, the role will also be responsible for expanding the portfolio, focusing on both the national programme and the individual pathfinders projects in the longer term.
The Trusts and Foundations Manager with not have any direct line management reports in order to focus their time on fundraising but will work closely with The Manager will take a relationship-based approach to our funding partnership, working directly with grantors to create impactful propositions and proposals to support Thrive at Five’s strategic priorities. The successful applicant will develop and manage a detailed prospect pipeline managed through our database, to ensure we make the very best of opportunities, in addition to new partnerships being identified and scoped.
The role will involve collaboration and coordination across the organization, both to keep abreast of the latest information for grantors, but also to bring key stakeholders and experts into discussions and partnerships as and when necessary to further develop and strengthen relationships. colleagues, providing coaching, support and advice on the lower-level trust portfolio on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
- Work with the Head of Fundraising to further develop the long-term fundraising strategy working to maximise multi-year partnerships from like-minded funders
- Manage the annual planning processes for Trusts and Foundations, prioritising meaningful engagement and stewardship opportunities for new and existing funders
- Work closely with the Director of Finance on the annual budget and monthly forecasts
Portfolio Management
- Manage the existing portfolio of c. 25 active multi-year grants ranging from £100k-£2m, providing excellent and timely reporting in addition to creative and impactful ongoing stewardship. The existing funders’ interests will be split across our national programme and regional pathfinders (currently Stoke-on-Trent and Redcar and Cleveland, with discussions underway in Middlesborough and Scotland).
- Regularly communicate with those in the portfolio on a 1:1 basis, working with senior stakeholders directly as and when necessary to maximise opportunities including Trustees, Advisory Board Members, Senior Leadership Team (‘SLT’) and the CEO
- Organise and attend programme visits to pathfinder locations as and when necessary to strengthen partnerships with grantors, long term in addition to regular face to face funder meetings
- Support the delivery of cultivation and stewardship events for prospects, funders and connectors, cross the country
Prospect Research and Pipeline Management
- Manage a portfolio of c.30 warm and cold prospects, to create bespoke cultivation opportunities, engage in fact-finding discussions, and submit detailed concept notes and proposals as relationships develop. The aim is for the existing portfolio of active funders to double over the next two years through a rigorous prospect engagement programme
- Focus on constant movement and momentum within the trusts and foundations pipeline, continuously researching new prospects, and network mapping contacts across the organisations to explore new avenues of support for both the national programme and the pathfinder projects
- Proactively engage with the grant making community with a shared interested in early years development by attending sector specific events and opportunities, and in addition to those focused on pathfinder areas such as Scottish grantmakers or those focused on the Northwest of England.
Processes and Systems
- Champion data excellence across fundraising by utilising the Raiser Edge database, ensuring it is the up-to-date centralised data management system for all prospects, funders, events and communications
- Provide regular reports to the Head of Fundraising and SLT on movement within the grants pipeline including chances of success
- Support the management of the lower-level grants portfolio, taking a coaching approach and sharing your expertise widely
- Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure the team are confident in all fundraising processes and procedures including grant acceptance policy, due diligence policy, prospect research process, data protection policy and GDPR requirements

The Opportunity
The Partnerships Manager will support the team in delivering ambitious membership growth targets for the College. Working closely with the Associate Director: Partnerships, the Partnerships Manager will take responsibility for:
- Developing and delivering presentations to drive Chartered College membership, ensuring that trainee teachers, teachers and school leaders are aware of and join the College, including at conferences and sector events.
- Developing new partnerships to support scalable income generation for group memberships, Chartered programmes, accreditation and projects, and introducing bespoke opportunities for customers and stakeholders.
- Supporting existing partnerships and, through those relationships, identifying wider sector challenges for the College to address. This will include working closely with the Associate Director for Professional Learning, Marketing and Communications Manager and Head of Content.
Membership sales
Most of your time you will be working towards achievement of objectives (including sales and account management and supporting overall membership numbers) and income targets for the full range of products and services including group membership, Chartered programmes, accreditations and projects offered by the College. You will build and maintain a sales pipeline to report to the Associate Director: Partnerships.
Membership engagement
You will spend some of your time managing and implementing workshops, webinars and activities for groups of trainee teachers, teachers and leaders to drive membership engagement, upgrade, renewal and recruitment. This will require regular travel throughout the UK. You will also liaise with training providers, universities and appropriate bodies to support student recruitment and upgrade to ECT membership.
Account Management
You will spend some of your time:
- Maintaining excellent account management and first-rate customer service with both existing and new partners and customers.
- Working closely with Members, Fellows and supporters of the College to build and maintain relationships and expand potential partnership opportunities.
- Maintaining records in the College’s CRM system (Salesforce), and ensuring colleagues are informed of customers’ status and opportunities.

BACKGROUND
Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma. Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK.
The new UK government’s Children’s Wellbeing Bill outlined in the King’s Speech, includes a requirement for free school breakfast clubs in every English primary school. In 2021, the Scottish Government, pledged a not yet enacted promise to provide breakfast to primary children.

JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good the Philanthropy team’s role is to develop and deliver the charity's high net worth individual giving programme in line with Magic Breakfast’s strategic priorities to enable our organisational growth against our mission.
We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. Job Summary
Return Fundraising is looking for an experienced Data Manager to lead the team responsible for overseeing all data services within the business. In this role, you will ensure that data is collected, stored, processed, and reported accurately and efficiently to support exceptional telephone fundraising.
The Data Manager plays a critical role in data compliance, processing, and analysing client data. - Experience of GDPR Compliance - Acting as Data Protection Officer for the organisation
- Experience of Line Management – you will manage the Data and Systems Officer for production of regular reports and systems support
- To have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Starting salary of £35,500 per annum with opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal, meaning potential salary increase up to £41,000 per annum.

The Quality and Performance Team
Due to sustained growth across the organisation, the experienced Quality & Performance Team (Q&P) have recently expanded to become a 12-person team. Q&P is formed of sub teams including Health and Safety, Reducing Harm, Innovation and Improvement, as well as Quality and Compliance.
The Quality and Performance Team are typically home-based, with occasional travel to operational services and/or London when required.

Interview Process
We want you to feel comfortable to be your best during the interview process, so that you can get to know Phoenix Futures and we can get to know you.
If shortlisted, the interview process for the Data and Performance Manager role will be a 2-stage process. The first stage will include a short excel-based skills task, with the second stage being a virtual interview via Microsoft Teams. We expect to all interviews to take place for this role W/C 9th December 2024.
If shortlisted, all details will be provided well in advance – including the skill task - so that you can feel adequately prepared, and so we can support you with reasonable adjustments as required.
