Income Generation and Development Officer
We are looking for an experienced individual who will:
- Contribute to the development of an overarching fundraising plan
- Review and develop current fundraising channels and plan, support and deliver imaginative fundraising activities
- Prepare relevant communication materials to support their role.
- Coordinate and write applications to grant makers to maximise the grant potential of the Archdiocese.

The ideal candidate will have experience of developing and delivering successful fundraising plans; bid writing; knowledge of appeals; legacies and Gift Aid; and working with various audiences including internal and external stakeholders.
Contract and Salary
This role is permanent and full-time with a salary of circa £40,000.00.

Base office will be Saint Margaret Clitherow Centre. Croxteth Drive, Liverpool, L17 1AA.
Working Hours
Contracted hours are 35 per week.
Annual leave
33 days which includes eight bank/public holidays plus 5 gifted days during Christmas and Easter closedown. There is the option to purchase additional annual leave.
Pension
Employees will be enrolled into the People’s Pension Scheme with a contribution rate of 3% and 5% contributed by the employer. The Archdiocese will match employee contributions up to 6% of their pensionable salary.

You'll work closely with our wider team to maintain accurate records in the CRM system, ensuring consistency and high standards of supporter care. Keeping funds on track and received within the right timescales will also be a key part of your role. You will ensure that all funds raised are received promptly and in compliance with legal and internal guidelines.
Location: Home-based. Option to work on a hybrid-basis from the Northampton office is available.

Week-in-week-out the busy team provides journalists with powerful proactive stories and quick-off-the-mark reaction that generates consistently high levels of media coverage across local, nations, national, consumer and specialist print, broadcast and online outlets.
This role is to be part of the National Media Team, working closely with a Media Manager, another Senior Media Officer and a Press Office Assistant to promote the NSPCC’s major policy-change campaigns and priorities, predominantly via national print, broadcast and digital media. Key areas of focus will include child protection and children’s social care, child sexual abuse, domestic abuse, online safety, early years, education and children’s experience of the justice system. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a network of contacts within the national media, using these relationships to ensure the NSPCC is at the forefront of coverage related to child abuse and neglect. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Park Management Team and support the general running and maintenance of the Trust's estate and be responsible for delivering all tree related works - whether for safety reasons, as part of our Woodland Management Plan, or in response to arboricultural diseases. The role will also play a key part in helping the Trust plan for the future by enhancing Nene Park for people and for wildlife, as well as reducing its carbon footprint.
This is very much a practical role, with the post holder directly involved in all aspects of forestry operations on the ground, as well as planning for and dealing with contractors on site.
The role will encompass a variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:
- Leading and coordinating arboricultural operations, tree surveys and tree related safety inspections.
- Carrying out and supervising tree works internally as well as those conducted by the Trust's specialist external tree contractors.
- Ranger duties to ensure the Park is well-managed and maintained, conserving its important heritage and ensuring it provides a welcoming environment for Park visitors
In addition, the ideal candidate will naturally demonstrate the following characteristics:
- Self-motivated and willing to take the lead in their area of specialism, whilst being able to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to manage own time and workload effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with diverse groups of people
- Ability to work safely in a high risk environment
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours a week, with some weekend and evening work. The role is based at our head offices in Ferry Meadows – Ham Farm House, Ham Lane, Peterborough, PE2 5UU and involves working anywhere across the Trust’s estate.
The salary range for this role is £35,353 - £37,121 per annum subject to experience. All of our salaries are externally benchmarked.

About this job
We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Policy and Evidence to lead our policy, social research, and healthcare professional engagement activity to improve the lives of people affected by MS.
You'll provide leadership and strategic direction, ensuring the Policy and Evidence team has clear priorities and a proactive and impact-driven approach. Strong management and leadership skills are essential to this role.
Acting as a senior spokesperson for our policy and evidence work, you’ll need to be influential both internally and externally, including representing the MS Society at a range of external meetings with a variety of audiences.
You’ll play a crucial role championing the role of impactful evidence based decision making across the organisation and have substantial experience of supporting the development of issue-based influencing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing policy change across a broad range of issues and influencing policy makers at a UK or national level.
Please note this is a fixed term contract for 9 months starting in January 2025.
