The Royal Institution (Ri) has been connecting people with science for over 200 years. Together, we are looking for an ambitious Trusts and Foundations Manager to cultivate and develop relationships that will enable the Ri to achieve their strategy as they pursue new projects and reach more beneficiaries.
The role is key in maximising income from charitable trusts and foundations, collaborating across the Ri to develop innovative and compelling proposals, delivering excellent account management and stewardship to existing donors, and identifying, researching and engaging new prospects.
You will develop cultivation strategies for current and prospective charitable trusts and foundations and research relevant trusts and grant making bodies to prepare, write and submit applications. You will use your outstanding relationship building skills to build relationships with Trust and Foundations that are new or lapsed and create opportunities to introduce the work of the Ri.
Key skills include:
- Proven experience across trusts & foundations fundraising activity
- Ability to research relevant trusts and grant making bodies, prepare, write and submit applications
- Manage lapsed opportunities as well as identifying and acquiring new funding
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally
- Ability to tackle challenges constructively, and find creative ways forward
- Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM

As Trust Fundraiser, you will proactively and independently manage relationships, reporting and application cycles for Trusts, Foundations, and Statutory Funders, adhering to all deadlines to maximise income generation. You will work closely with colleagues in the programme management team to identify projects suitable for prospective funders. Using the information provided, build compelling and persuasive applications and cases for support. You will monitor the ongoing progress of programme activities, outcomes, and finances and report back to funders, highlighting any changes as soon as possible. You will also be using the database of potential donors, write quality and compelling proposals to attract new and significant sources of funding.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Previous experience of fundraising within a trusts, statutory or grants role, or other relationship management/business development positions.
- Personally building relationships to secure four and five figure plus grants or other key, long-term, income generating accounts.
- Experience of researching and developing proposals for funders, clients, or other stakeholders.
- Highly developed writing skills - the ability to write compelling and accessible proposals, reports and appeals.

A fantastic charity representing a community of families bereaved by gambling-related suicide is looking for a Programme Manager - Gambling Harm Prevention, on a two-year fixed-term contract.
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Location: Home based with travel within the Midlands
As Programme Manager, you will take responsibility for the management and delivery of this range of prevention projects, initially focusing on work in the Midlands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Embedding and overseeing a project management approach to prevention programmes and delivery contracts.
- Coordinating and leading programmes and project meetings with the delivery team, ensuring project deliverables, KPIs and milestones are met.
- Managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including management, funders, partners and commissioners.
- Working closely with the Head of Prevention and Prevention Manager, contributing to the development and roll out of training and information materials and programmes.
- Managing monitoring and evaluation activities, ensuring external and internal reporting requirements are met and key relationships are effectively managed.
- Ensuring quality assurance in the delivery of materials are delivered by teachers, trainers or tutors (the programme’s ‘Trained Trainers’).
- Supporting the Fundraising Manager, Head of Prevention and Chief Operating and Development Officer to secure funding, by inputting into funding proposals, contract tenders and other fundraising activities.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing projects and project management systems and will have some experience of delivering education, awareness or training initiatives to young people and/or adults. Experience in engaging and building relationships with a variety of relevant stakeholders in health, public health, education and in charities is key, alongside critical awareness of the role of the industry in influencing messaging around gambling. You must also have the ability to travel throughout England, and elsewhere in the UK and Ireland on occasion

We're looking for an experienced Events Manager to join our small team, working alongside two Events Managers to deliver three cultivation events, including a large-scale carol concert at St Paul's Cathedral. This is a fixed term contract until December '24.
If you have a track record for delivering high value cultivation events that engage supporters and offer an impeccable guest experience, this is a great opportunity for you to join a welcoming and high performing team. You'll be working hands-on and so attendance at two London based events (currently confirmed for November 18th and December 5th) is essential. In the unlikely event of a date change, flexibility will be required.

We operate a hybrid-working model, a blend of home and office working. This role will include working from our London office on occasion. Your travel costs to the London office are not covered.

Must haves:
- Proven experience of organising successful, ideally large-scale, cultivation events.
- Proven experience of project managing events, including all aspects of event planning, logistics and budgeting.

- Excellent negotiating and influencing skills and ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders and across internal boundaries.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing demands and work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

- An ability to manage complex relationships and work with sponsors and partners.

- Required to work on events out of normal business hours, including travel and overnight stays

You will manage a range of data processes leveraging data from the database to support our teams and reach our supporters in a targeted and personalised manner, as well as importing new data into the system to enhance future fundraising campaigns. Using our supporter database, Raiser’s Edge, you will maintain excellent data integrity and accuracy and work with multiple stakeholders to support the Trust’s ambitions to raise funds in order to support more Young People.
This opportunity is perfect if you are technically adept in managing and leveraging large data sets, working with import tools and have a good understanding of data modelling.

Choirs Beating Time runs weekly choir year-round in 9 prisons, building positive communities and improving mental health and inclusion. Over 1000 people have sung with us in the last 10 years. Through performances they also have the opportunity to spend better quality time with their family.
Inside Job, is an Employment Consultancy with a difference. It was co-created by a serving prisoner, who is very much part of our Team, and the Charity, Beating Time. Recognising the huge barriers people who have served a sentence face to re-entering the workplace, we realised a specialized service was needed. A service which collapses the space between Employers, who want to use their recruitment policies to achieve social impact, and people who are serving/ have served a prison sentence. A service which understands those challenges and works collaboratively to remove them. Employment reduces reoffending by 50% - this is a job worth doing.
Inside Job is unique in 2 ways:
1. We recruit and train serving prisoners as Recruitment Consultants who provide us with our candidate pipeline and work closely alongside us.

About the role
This is a new role that has been created to sit within our London office, working closely with the senior management team as well as our community team. You will get the opportunity to visit our prisons and see first hand how we work, what we do and why it is so important.
Our funding comes from several sources including from Trusts and Foundations, and prison contracts and donations. We are looking for somebody who can continue to build strong relationships with our funders but also find and develop new funding opportunities to help grow and maximise our income.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced fundraiser to work alongside a talented team in securing significant, multi-year funding from Lottery and Statutory sources Alongside securing new funding, you will lead on managing existing projects and so excellent account management skills are essential.
RNIB’s Statutory and Lottery Partnerships team has a wealth of experience in securing 6 and 7 figure grants from across Lottery, Statutory and EU bodies, but we know we can achieve more. We want to build sustainable, ambitious partnerships with our funders to create a truly holistic relationship which is two way in its offer. RNIB is at a pivotal moment, and we are looking for someone who will bring energy, enthusiasm and a desire to change the world for blind and partially sighted people.
You will lead and collaborate on applications to Statutory and Lottery bodies across the UK, and nurture and develop relationships both with external funders and key internal stakeholders. You’ll use your strong account management skills to proactively build and seek opportunities to raise the profile of RNIB and deepen the connection between funders and the organisation. You’ll apply creativity to the way we talk about funded projects internally and externally including building a package of external communications to raise awareness of the work we do.
Alongside the development of new proposals, you will manage a portfolio of existing funded projects; working across a range of directorates within RNIB to provide reports and updates to funders whilst maintaining strong relationships to support a variety of both new and existing projects and services.
What you’ll need
You will have strong experience of Statutory and/or Lottery fundraising and working with others to meet or exceed team income and activity targets.
You will be confident in managing complex relationships with external and internal contacts, such as government agencies, Lottery distribution bodies and EU agencies, colleagues, senior staff and other influential stakeholders.
You will be comfortable managing your own workload and portfolio of funding applications and funded projects, within an experienced fundraising team. Supporting others when required to achieve the joint target.
You will have excellent relationship management skills to nurture the relationships. Along with strong influencing and negotiation skills, and the ability to form successful working relationships with colleagues from different functions and teams with potentially conflicting priorities.
This position can be worked on a flexible basis from anywhere in the UK as a homebased position.

Job summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will work closely with the Chief Officer (CO) to grow the business activities of Headway Black Country (HBC).
The BDM's core purpose is to work with the CO, members of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and the Board of Trustees to identify and develop new business and funding opportunities, to enable HBC to meet our charitable objectives, specifically regarding the key themes of:
- Providing support: Offering practical advice, emotional support, and rehabilitation services to individuals who have experienced a brain injury, as well as their families and caregivers.
- Raising awareness: Increasing public understanding and awareness of brain injuries, their causes, and the impact they can have on individuals and their families.
- Promoting independence: Helping individuals with brain injuries to regain their independence, develop skills, and improve their quality of life through various programs and services.
You will provide support to the CO in the identification of opportunities, development, and submission of proposals, and managing the bid/tender processes from scoping through to implementation:
- To secure income from a range of sources to support the Strategic and Business Plans of Headway Black Country.
- To lead on the development of a range of new business opportunities.
- To build relationships with a range of key stakeholders to better position the organisation.
KEY TASKS
- Gain a full understanding of all areas of Headway Black Country to enable post-holder to identify and develop new opportunities.
- To undertake a market analysis to identify opportunities for growth, and to lead on the development of appropriate business products and services as agreed with the CO.
- To identify opportunities for service development through new funding streams, partnership, and commissioning opportunities.
- To lead on the management and preparation of funding bids, tenders, business proposals.
- Coordinate the implementation of agreed new projects and help to develop monitoring plans, and co-ordinating reporting arrangements.
- To develop positive relationships with a range of stakeholders providing funding to charities to raise awareness and promote HBC within the Region.
- Build relationships and partnerships and pursue funding avenues to realise new service activity in line with HBC charitable objectives.
- Implement and lead HBC Fundraising Committee and developing the organisation's funding strategy with the Chief Officer and Board of Trustees.
- Input into the website/ marketing materials to include new and potential development ideas.
- Collaborate and work as part of the management team on agreeing what Business Development Plans progress/ track and communicate progress and recommendations.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Possess a proven track record (2 to 3 years or more) of leading successful applications to grant makers and charitable trusts.
- Have experience in corporate fundraising and donor stewardship.
- Have experience of a broad variety of business/ fundraising opportunities relevant to the charitable sector.
- Have proven experience of developing and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders to deliver tangible results.

About the role
This is a senior role working across the whole Charity, tasked with growing public awareness and support for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. Leading on marketing, PR, brand and design, this role will manage relations with media, stakeholders, supporters and the wider public, creating and delivering engaging campaigns, generating support for the Charity, demonstrating impact and increasing income generation.
